It doesn't matter what you were doing before you wake up here, how you managed to get here at all, or where you arrived at. All that mattered now was that you're suddenly in a new location and people are so insistent that you're a wizard. Whether or not that sinks in just yet, you may as well go through the motions and humor whomever -- or whatever -- brought you here.

Here are a few prompts to get you started, but there's no requirement to use any of the given prompts. If you feel that you would like to use something besides the prompts that are given, you're more than welcome to do so.

Also, there's this nifty little post to introduce who you are to the others out of character, so don't forget to check it out!

Prompts

Prompt A; Okay so maybe being dropped off in a bustling street in front of some old, broken down looking building isn't the best way to start your day, but inside there seems to be a number of curious customers. Given the state of the building, this place seems pretty busy otherwise. The Leaky Cauldron huh...? Guess there's no time to ponder where that is, because the man behind the bar seems particularly interested in you. Soon enough, he's leading you to a location. Great, maybe some answers... until you come to a brick wall...

Great. What are you supposed to do at a brick wall? Surprise! After a few taps on the bricks, there's suddenly a pathway opening up and then... another street? What's going on?

Prompt B; Well now that you've been taken to a place called "Diagon Alley", you seem to be left there by the man who was supposedly going to help you out. If you're lucky enough, a tall man with a bushy beard might happen to come to the rescue. All this talk about being a witch/wizard.... Are these people out of their minds? Clearly they don't think they are, because he'll happily help you find your school supplies and books.

Or maybe you decided to wonder around by yourself and check out the shops after figuring things out from the other people on the street going through the same process. Just be careful not to carelessly use up all of the money that's saved in your vaults in Gringotts though.

Prompt C; Nine and Three Quarters..... Supposedly you need to get to Platform Nine and Three Quarters, but everyone is telling you that it doesn't exist. How can it not exist when so many people were looking for it? Have people been playing with you for a fool? Well, that seems to be the case until you notice people running into a.... Were they running into a brick wall? That's completely stupid but yet... they disappeared? Apparently you must be stupid for trying it, but somehow or another it works out and... There's more people with trunks and supplies like you have. More importantly as a train that wasn't there before.

Hogwarts Express.

Once on the train, finding a place to sit might be a pain depending on how long it takes for you to find it, but why not make a few new friends and maybe try to find out just what's going on? Meanwhile there is a trolley going around for anyone who wants a snack.

Prompt D;  Boats.... Why did it have to be boats? And didn't you refuse to put on those robes that you were required to buy? Why has your clothing disappeared in substitution for these robes? Just don't rock the boat. Pretty sure the others riding with you won't be happy if you tip it over. At least land seems to be coming closer along with a giant castle.

Prompt E; After being sorted into your houses and sitting at your respective tables, you'll be given more freedom to move about and talk than you have been this entire time. Use that time to figure out if anyone else was in the same predicament as you are. Surely you can't be the only one confused. And this large spread of food that never seems to run out is a bit too tempting to decline.

Or maybe you've already returned to your new dorm common rooms? Take your pick.

[Just what in the world is going on here? Ciel didn't particularly enjoy being dragged around like a rag doll, much less being told what to do with very little information in return. The shopping he could handle, but being expected to find a platform that doesn't exist?

Just what do they take them for? And Sebastian doesn't seem to be answering him....

Watching people run into walls wasn't exactly something that Ciel cared much about, but seeing people actually manage to go through them and disappear.. That was something he couldn't turn a blind eye to.]

What in the devil....?

[He must be out of his mind to even consider it, but seeming as his own search wasn't giving him that many results... In we go!

And now there's an older style train... Or at least older than some of the stuff he's seen thus far.... Here's one richly dressed boy confused among the many other families who had found their way here.

After boarding, the prospect of finding a seat is proving more difficult than he'd assumed it would. If he wants answers, he'll go along for the ride, but he didn't really want to have to deal with anyone. Finding an empty compartment, he slid inside and plopped down onto the seat next to the window.]

Sebastian, you'd better answer me soon. I'm sick of playing these games.

[Said to nobody in particular.]

[ Prompt E ]

[He had been hoping for more answers than he'd been given, but it seemed like he wasn't the only one thoroughly confused about all of this. And these robes that he'd been changed into. Yes, he remembered people nagging him to change on the train and he considered it, but he figured he could do that later. Well, turns out that that wasn't an option. At least whatever had caused this change of apparel -- magic -- allowed him to keep his eye patch on.

So there were four houses here...? Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin... Apparently -- according to the talking hat -- he was sorted into Gryffindor. All of this was hurting his brain and despite taking on strange tasks that had supernatural events occur, magic was something that he hadn't really been to exposed to in this nature. But there was magic everywhere.

Staring at his wand, he was sitting in the commons area after supper. Supper just wasn't the same when it wasn't Sebastian making it for him, which was saying something. And he would love to have a nice cup of good quality Earl Gray, but that seemed to be out of the question for the time being.

Letting out a small sigh after being lost in thought...]

I guess I'll have to find out more tomorrow...

[Another year, another journey on the train, which wielded really no excitement. Unless of course he decided to play a prank. But in all honesty that was more something his brother would do than him, but never the less he wondered down the halls and had been quick to find an compartment. Although the moment he opened it, he realized that well there was already someone else in it.]

Either you like being alone, or you have no friends. So which is it?

[Rather blunt and very to the point, but he wasn't asking for any reason.]

[Namine opens the compartment curiously stopping when she spots the boy.]

Oh, I'm sorry. Have you seen a girl, my age with red hair?

[It isn't much of a description but Namine is looking for her sister and she's getting a little nervous not having her twin around.]

[Another year, another train ride.

Roxas doesn't show it, but he's excited to be going back to school. He's missed the castle and the grounds and playing quidditch and everything. The summer was nice but he was glad that he'd be able to get away from his family and get back into things. Especially since this was a big year.

He looks around on the platform for his friends, hoping that they'll be able to share a compartment.

On the train, Roxas can be found at the food trolley, loading up on chocolate frogs, pumpkin pasties, cauldron cakes and anything else that looks good. He's been put in charge of that particular task and is trying to remember all the orders, and if he can carry them back]

[Sitting at Hufflepuff table in the Great Hall. Roxas has missed this and is eagerly catching up with his classmates, as well as speculating as to what their lessons might be like this year. After all, it is O.W.L. year, and from what he's heard, that's pretty intense.

The Hufflepuff common room is probably Roxas's favorite place to me. It's warm and cozy and just so familiar now. He's sitting in one of the armchairs by the fire, not quite ready to go to dorm.]

[Ciel didn't particularly seem interested in making new friends, nor had he bothered to change into the robes that he was required to buy. So just as the trolley was coming around, he decided to check it out. He was used to Sebastian preparing his meals and basically everything else, but without Sebastian here, it seemed like Ciel was going to have to worry about that himself.

What he found was the most absurd collection of snacks that he'd never heard of before. Not particularly looking at who else was there, he kept his gaze on the weird array of snacks.]

Hey, isn't there anything normal here? And just what exactly is a "chocolate frog"? I hope that's just a title and not made out of actual frog....

[Seriously... What do these people eat here?]

[Yami was extremely confused as to what on earth was happening. He was pretty sure that he had wanted to get what he needed to in order for him to discover his memories and yet he found himself in a place he had little to no clue about and even worse, his partner was no one in his heart. It was quite distressing when one wasn't use to it being so quiet.

As he sat in the carriage, many thoughts passed through his head and he felt like soon enough he just needed to get out and go for a wonder up and down the train. Just as he opened the door he didn't notice the young blond coming up from his left as he stepped out, bumping into the other.]

Ah, I am sorry about that. Do you need help?

[Kairi had to admit, but she was kind of looking forward to being able to get on with classes and learning more and more. Not only that she was interested other things as well. When she had gotten to the common room she was quick to stretch out. This place was her home away from home and she liked it like that. After all it had her sister here. As she moved to put her arms down at her sides she noticed someone else was here.]

Relaxing away are we?

[Namine goes up to her room the moment she gets into the common area only to reappear a few minutes later with some items in hand. She has a white paper bound book in one hand and a paint brush and a small collections of water color paints in the other.

She moves to sit down next to the fire smiling at Roxas as she sets her things down. Water color is new to the young artist but that doesn't mean she isn't going to give it a try. She quickly sets up her things and then glances over at Roxas with a shy smile.]

Is it alright if I try and paint you?

[Roxas is the same year as her and while she doesn't know him intimately she's comfortable enough to ask him for this small favor.]

Gokudera Hayato

[ He can hardly believe his eyes as he walks the shops. Everyone looked so... so strange. Like half of them had come out of a different time all together, and the other half kids his age racing between shops excitedly.

Where in the hell was he now?

His agitation grows little by little, but his interest picks up faster. Especially as he walks in to the book shop and he can't help but watch as pixies in a cage are chittering. The geeky side of Gokudera leaps up, the pixies snagging his attention so thoroughly, that he practically bumps into people on his excited way to stare into their cage. ]

IT'S A U.M.A!!

[ After having found out just what the hell to do, his cart in front of him filled with new books and a wardrobe he didn't know exactly what half of meant, he was finally on the train. Trains weren't an abnormal thing for Gokudera, being that trains ran all over both Italy and Japan. But this one was filled with people who either knew equal amounts of nothing like himself, or people who he could listen to and observe for information.

Or people that could piss him off. Largely, he kept to himself, though. A surprise even to Gokudera. ]

E.
[ That damn hat had messed up his hair! And creeped him the hell out, to be perfectly honest. Not that being floated into a mountainside school by boats that pulled themselves wasn't freakish in itself. Or that ceiling in the Great Hall mirroring the outside sky perfectly. Or the floating candles and ghosts roaming the room.

Gokudera didn't know what to make of any of that. But apparently he was now in house Gryffindor.

He gave them a surly glower, but walked off to join his house anyway. People touching and cheering for him, because now apparently he was accepted into some new family. Well. They wouldn't replace the Vongola! Definitely no one could replace them, and none of them were Jyuudaime. Or that idiot, Yamamoto. ]

[ That night when everyone was asleep, Gokudera found himself unable to get comfortable. He couldn't sleep. Couldn't fathom why he was here and not home with people he actually knew. It was damn interesting being here, but already he missed what he had.

And that was why Gokudera snuck out from behind the portrait of The Fat Lady, careful to remember his way back to the Gryffindor housing. ]

[The journey to and from the food trolley had taken far longer than Roxas had anticipated, but he'd finally made it back to his compartment. He slid into his spot where his friends were talking quietly, not wanting to disturb the newcomer. Roxas distributed his goodies before taking a breath and looked over at Gokudera.]

Did you want one?

[He was offering a chocolate frog.]

[You know who else isn't that excited about all of this? Ciel; Who just happened to be sitting next to you when you sat down, but didn't seem to pay him much mind.]

Ridiculous.... I don't have time for some magic school... [Not meant to be said out loud, but there it was.]

[Hikaru's stomach finally stops hurting though it's made sleep all but impossible. She's sitting in the dark common area sipping a cup of water when she hears the other Gryffindor sneak out of the dorms.

Breaking rules on the first day?

That doesn't seem like a good plan but Hikaru is willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and just follow him. She caught sight of him just outside the painting and runs after him with an excited smile.]

Hey! [A hand claps over her lips as she begins to whisper. The paintings around them hadn't stopped snoring so it was a safe assumption no one woke up.] You aren't suppose to wander around after dark.

[Even as she warns him Hikaru is continuing to follow the boy into the dark halls.]

[Kaoru knew he needed to get new books for the new year ahead and he looked along the bookshelves for them, until of course he couldn't help but heard someone say something and go over towards the pixies. Kaoru just couldn't help but give the guy a look.]

Um, they are a whatnow?

[He had overheard him say something, but he hadn't a clue what it was.]

I think you are mistaken.

Kaoru Hitachiin (HP AU)

[He had managed to find a place somewhat quickly and all he had left to do was simply look out the window and watch the world go by. He never understood why it had to be a train that takes them there? Why not something fancier like a flying car, or a horse drawn carriage or something like that. As those thoughts went through his mind his fingers had started to tap away on his lap. he was getting bored already and without his brother being here, he wondered if this would be a common occurrence.

Standing up from his seat he decided to explore and check out the other carriages and maybe find something better to do.]

[He was pretty sure when the hat was sorting that a good portion of those people were not first years. Unless of course they were dumb or something. In which case it made a lot of sense. With that done and the food magically appearing, Kaoru used this time to take a spoonful of what could only be considered coleslaw and ready to aims it at another table, or even in some cases at his own table.

Beware of flying food from a bored fifteen year old.]

[When he slides open one of the doors he will find Hikaru looking out the window like a puppy. There are a mess of wrappers on her seat as well as a collection of a dozen or so unopened chocolate frogs.

She turns her head as the doors slide open. Her red eyes are wide and excited as she spots Kaoru.]

Look! We are going over the bridge now! That means we are almost there!

[Almost meaning about a half hour though time is relative when you're excited. She moves from the seat and grabs hold of Kaoru bringing him towards the window.]

Seth Rim

[Prompt B]

[He's going to take his time to explore the shops even after collecting everything that he needs for the year. His letter had come as a surprise but he's known of magic and the world that is hidden behind the obvious vales that others choose to walk pass. He's wearing a button down and a loose pair of jeans.

Seth tries to blend in not overly interested at talking with others. He is young but he doesn't look lost. He stops in front of a pet store eyeing a few of the creatures curiously.

There's a small rat that's resting alone in the cage with all the other active rodents. He stares at the small animal for a long moment. There is no reason to head to this new school alone.]

[Prompt C]

[He finds a cabin and then tucks himself away from the others boarding the train. It isn't that Seth is anti-social but he isn't good at talking to others. He'd rather blend in to the back ground and remain part of the scenery. It's how he's survived for so long.

His new rat, whom he's named Tremor, is sitting on his shoulder exploring across the small pathway that Seth's shoulders allowed and then creating a nest in his hair. He doesn't mind and he's glad that the rat had taken such a shine to him.

He feels soft licks on the back on his neck and smiles slightly as Tremor makes himself comfortable.]

[Prompt E]

[Ravenclaw? He supposes it makes sense and he's happy to no longer be in the spot light. He takes a seat without really looking at others. His rat is stashed in his robes and peels out at his neck line as the bustle of students begin to hum excitedly to each other.]

[Ciel was looking around in the pet store at the same time. So he was allowed to have a pet here... That seemed pretty silly when he had other things to do, but having an owl would be nice... So while he was looking around, he noticed the boy looking intently at the rat.]

So they allow rats, cats, and owls huh...?

Namine HP AU

[Prompt C]

[Namine is excited to be back at school. She's going be a fifth year with her sister and while she doesn't always show her excitement it is obvious from the small smile spread across her lips as she waits next to the magical train.

She's hoping to run into more people she knows or just wait for her sister to come back from making sure everything is loaded up properly.

Most of her things are in storage except for a sketchbook gripped tightly between her fingers. She has a few pencils stashed in her pocket if she gets the chance or inspiration to draw. More often than not she just likes having the book with her.]

[Prompt E]

[After everyone has been sorted Namine pulls out her sketchbook and quietly begins to draw. She starts with the hall, showing the candles over head and the long tables set for the four houses. She then begins to draw those who stand out among the crowd. If you are walking by her work you might see a familiar face or your face looking back at you.

Her skills have certainly improved over the years making her drawings more and more life like.

If someone comes over she will greet them with a friendly smile and hastily close her sketch book. It's a little embarrassing for others to see.]

[Kairi had made her rounds of seeing those that she knew and of course doing the obcvious making sure everything they needed was safely aboard the train. After all it would suck to lose her sisters art things or her broomstick. As she started to head back she spotted her sister and waved her arm, making her way over.]

Sis! Everything in aboard the train and ready for us to get on. You ready to head off towards a tough year ahead.

Hikaru Shidou

[Trains are great and it's one of many things that Hikaru is known for getting excited about. She jumps up onto the train hoping her friends are close behind. There is a wide smile on her lips as she throws one arm into the air.]

Let's go!

[Except that people are still boarding so she might be getting a head of herself. She's going to be looking for snacks before she even finds a seat considering the noises that erupted from her stomach. Time to find CHOCOLATE!]

Prompt E

[Hikaru is a little to excited and ate one to many chocolate frogs. They were her favorite but she never thought they would forsake her like this. Her head is resting on the table as soft moans echo from her lips.

She doesn't want to smell any more food or talk about food or have someone mention food.]

My stomach...

Prompt F

[It doesn't take her long to leave the great hall and head to bed early. There will always be tomorrow to catch up with friends and those she knows. It's going to be the start of her third year and it isn't the best way to start off.

Hikaru sighs very loudly with one hand over her stomach as she walks the mostly empty halls. It isn't so hard for her to find the Gryffindor's common area but why does it have to be so far away?]

[Ciel just happened to be sitting somewhere near the girl drinking some tea he managed to find when she was resting her head on the table.]

Hey... Are you alright...? [He didn't look worried as much as he was wondering what she was doing.]

Mayu Nozaki

[C] Mayu went along with all this foreign hocus pocus. None of this made sense, but it was easier to go with the flow. Thinking of a logical explanation would require too much mental strain. He blankly followed others who seemed knowledgeable about magic. Having to run through an illusary wall to get to platform 9 3/4 was tiring.

Upon entering the train, Mayu stowed his supplies and found a seat. He didn't bother with any greetings. He didn't particularly care if compartments were empty, as long there was room to sit. He had no trouble falling asleep. He needed to conserve his energy.

[D] The kid that slept through most of the train ride, also fell asleep in the boat.

Elizabeth was sitting politely n the train, making sure she had the correct manners any lady would, although from what she had been before she had to question a lot about the ladies going to the school. She questioned even more why there was someone taking a nap like they were. leaning forward she was making sure that she could be heard.

"Excuse me? Don't you think it's a little impolite to just fall asleep like that?"

Elizabeth Midford

[They had been on the train for quite sometime and she had been told on more than one occasion that she was meant to get dressed in the robes she had brought before. As she got them out of her trunk she looked down at them, giving a small pout. She wasn't happy with them. She wasn't happy with them at all.]

They aren't cute at all and the skirt is too short.

D
The boats were kind of pretty in there own unusual way. They could be better, but there wasn't much the young lady could do about that. However it didn't mean she couldn't be confused about the fact that no one was rowing them. Given the style she assumed someone should be rowing them. But no one was. It seemed like they were rowing themselves. It was enough to confused the poor girl as she leant over to look at the water. Yep, they were moving alright, but how? She wanted to know but felt like it would be rude and impolite. So instead she just watched the water as they got closer and closer to the castle.]

[She had been sorted into Gryffindor. From what she could gather about it from the hat it was the house for those who were brave. After what she had been through a while before all of this she could understand why she might have been placed in that house. She was brave when she could be, or more so when she had to and she knew that her family would do the same thing. With that in mind as she took her seat she started to wonder if her family were here would they be in the same house as well?]

Usagi Tsukino

[Usagi didn't know where she was going or why she was going in the first place. She could recall seeing things liek that letter that she was a witch and that she was going to this magic school for people like them, but that didn't make sense. She was a magical girl, not a witch. Witches were those types of people who flew on broomsticks and were green with warts. She was pretty sure she didn't have any of those traits.

As those thoughts drifted in her mind the trolley came by, asking if she would like anything. Usagi looked over and soon noticed that it was all food and food she had never seen before. Her eyes sparkled slightly as she was quick to order pretty much one bit of everything there was to offer. She was glad she had the money for it.

Now that she had food, she was starting to feel a little bit better as she tried her first every flavour bean and it soon became obvious that it wasn't the best flavour as she stuck her tongue out and started to fan it.]

Water! I need water! [When she looked around and no one was there she was quick to stand up and rush out on the hunt for someone with a drink.]

Do you have water, or some type of liquid? I really need it.

Kairi (HP AU)

[Kairi had managed to get everything that she needed. All she had left to do was wait for her sister and head on back to the old lady they lived with, whom they considered there grandmother. But as she waited she couldn't help but notice that the new broom had come out. So moving away from where they were meant to meet she headed over, excitement in her eyes as she stared at it with wonder.]

One would have never thought that they would keep making better and better brooms each year. Maybe one day I'll actually be able to afford one like that.

Fuu Hououji

[When she had found herself with a letter to Hogwarts she still wasn't sure what to think. It didn't help that things back where she had been had been left rather awkwardly to say the least. They did what they felt had been right and it ended terribly. She still felt awful about it.

Keeping to herself she wondered around the stores, she had a list of what she was meant to buy, but no clue where to go or even why she felt like she needed to buy these things. She could just ignore it if she had to. But instead she found herself looking at the list once again a bit of a confused look upon her face.]

I wonder why they need so many books. It doesn't make sense really.

[Finding her way to where she was meant to be going was honestly, quite exciting and she had been rather fascinated at how they did it and how they can without people thinking that was odd. As she stared at the train that was meant to take her to the place she had been invited her smile widened a bit more. This was perhaps her first step towards a new adventure and maybe a new way to help and redeem herself for her past mistake.]

Yami Yugi

[Well this whole alley was certainly a new experience, but he managed to keep his cool at best as he wondered around, staring at time to time at various things he had seen, yet hadn't a clue as to what they are. If he knew where Yugi was he would be able to ask him possibly. But when he had tried to contact him, he got nothing. No matter how much he searched in his heart, it was like he wasn't there and that was nerve racking. For those that might come across the boy, he'll be staring into shop windows or standing by a wall, eyes closed.]

Yugi, are you in there? Please let me know you are okay?

[As his house had been sorted he slowly made his way towards the table he figured belonged to his new house. many of the things about this place were just odd and the houses and sorting was just the tip of the iceberg. Why that house, what purpose does this whole thing do? he figured those are questions he might not get answers to as he instead looked over at the food that had just sudden;y and magically appeared. Now was the time to eat it seemed as he watched the others before picking up something himself and played with it for a moment before finally taking a bite, the whole time his mind was elsewhere.]
