It doesn't matter what you were doing before you wake up here, how you managed to get here at all, or where you arrived at. All that mattered now was that you're suddenly in a new location and people are so insistent that you're a wizard. Whether or not that sinks in just yet, you may as well go through the motions and humor whomever -- or whatever -- brought you here.

Here are a few prompts to get you started, but there's no requirement to use any of the given prompts. If you feel that you would like to use something besides the prompts that are given, you're more than welcome to do so.

Prompts

Prompt A; Okay so maybe being dropped off in a bustling street in front of some old, broken down looking building isn't the best way to start your day, but inside there seems to be a number of curious customers. Given the state of the building, this place seems pretty busy otherwise. The Leaky Cauldron huh...? Guess there's no time to ponder where that is, because the man behind the bar seems particularly interested in you. Soon enough, he's leading you to a location. Great, maybe some answers... until you come to a brick wall...

Great. What are you supposed to do at a brick wall? Surprise! After a few taps on the bricks, there's suddenly a pathway opening up and then... another street? What's going on?

Prompt B; Well now that you've been taken to a place called "Diagon Alley", you seem to be left there by the man who was supposedly going to help you out. If you're lucky enough, a tall man with a bushy beard might happen to come to the rescue. All this talk about being a witch/wizard.... Are these people out of their minds? Clearly they don't think they are, because he'll happily help you find your school supplies and books.

Or maybe you decided to wonder around by yourself and check out the shops after figuring things out from the other people on the street going through the same process. Just be careful not to carelessly use up all of the money that's saved in your vaults in Gringotts though.

Prompt C; Nine and Three Quarters..... Supposedly you need to get to Platform Nine and Three Quarters, but everyone is telling you that it doesn't exist. How can it not exist when so many people were looking for it? Have people been playing with you for a fool? Well, that seems to be the case until you notice people running into a.... Were they running into a brick wall? That's completely stupid but yet... they disappeared? Apparently you must be stupid for trying it, but somehow or another it works out and... There's more people with trunks and supplies like you have. More importantly as a train that wasn't there before.

Hogwarts Express.

Once on the train, finding a place to sit might be a pain depending on how long it takes for you to find it, but why not make a few new friends and maybe try to find out just what's going on? Meanwhile there is a trolley going around for anyone who wants a snack.

Prompt D; Boats.... Why did it have to be boats? And didn't you refuse to put on those robes that you were required to buy? Why has your clothing disappeared in substitution for these robes? Just don't rock the boat. Pretty sure the others riding with you won't be happy if you tip it over. At least land seems to be coming closer along with a giant castle.

Prompt E; After being sorted into your houses and sitting at your respective tables, you'll be given more freedom to move about and talk than you have been this entire time. Use that time to figure out if anyone else was in the same predicament as you are. Surely you can't be the only one confused. And this large spread of food that never seems to run out is a bit too tempting to decline.

Or maybe you've already returned to your new dorm common rooms? Take your pick.

Mayu might have regretted missing the scenery, if he had a decent camera with him. It would have made good reference material for his brother's manga. Unfortunately, his phone had no signal, or battery power.

Mayu opened his eyes. The shaking of his shoulders worked. He looked around with minimal movement. He would be ready to exit once everyone else started to get off.

"Thanks."

He retracts his hand looking up at the castle. Over half of the students have begun climbing up towards the castle's doors. It seems silly that they have to walk so far but at least they don't have their supplies with them.

Seth shrugs and then waits just on the shore for Mayu.

"Let's go then."

He's used to not letting people go alone while keeping his presence unintrusive.

Mayu exits the boat and starts to follow at a leisurely pace. He stops when he looks up, entranced at the magnificent sight. He isn't used to seeing Western castles. It reminds him of fantasy settings in shoujo manga.

Once he snaps out of the trance, he nods to the other boy. He's athletic enough not to stay too far behind.

Seth didn't seem like he was much in a rush either. Though instead of looking at the beautiful castle nestled perfectly against the night sky he was watching the young students slowly making their way towards the castle. He watched their eyes widen in wonder as they walked into a dream.

His gaze then shifted to Mayu watching the boy as they tailed the group walking towards the castle.

Mayu was just as impressed as the younger students, though he was a bit more subtle about expressing it.The starry sky illusion was particularly lovely. He silently followed along.

He was still half convinced that this all was a dream, despite all the time he spent sleeping. He was used to being an ordinary middle school student in Japan. A magical school in the UK was a completely different experience. It was obvious that those in charge went all out with this introduction to Hogwarts.

Seth was used to these sorts of things because he saw them in dreams. It was interesting seeing the building after walking through others views of the same building. As if everything was put into prospective with this single view.

He tailed behind as they stopped towards the front of the building and where then ushered inside.

Seth hummed softly as if watching the scenery for the first time.

Mayu continued to follow along, also close to the back. While other students were gasping, and displaying their wonder, he remained silent. He figured someone else would ask any important question.

If only there was a more efficient route to the Great Hall for this sorting business.

Clearly there wasn't a direct path to the hall or at least if there was, they weren't taking that route.

Seth looked sideways at Mayu. "You're awfully silent." Of course so was he. The group moved forward through the hallways until stopping at the base of the stairs.

Mayu wondered why the ability to break the laws of physics couldn't be used for some labor saving. Perhaps, it's the danger involved with all these young people who are completely new to magic. The spectacle was starting to lose its appeal with this long, meandering walk.

Mayu nodded at Seth. Talking was an activity that took effort. It was easier to let others speak for him.

Seth smiled to himself at Mayu's silence. He was certainly an interesting guy and Seth wasn't opposed to his quiet neighbor. He stood by his side watching as they were ushered into the great hall where the ceiling was bewitched to look like the night sky.

Rows of students already sat looking like they wanted to eat but also watching the group curiously.

Mayu was glad that to not put more effort into speaking. Seth seemed like someone he could get along with.

He looked longingly at the tables. He would have sat down at the closest empty seat, but it required pushing past the crowd. He guessed that they needed to wait for something before being seated.

The stares did not faze him. He was older than a typical firstie, and tall for his age. It helped that he wasn't the only one.

Seth was also taller and older than the other first years. He smiled at the group feeling at ease among them as if he belonged.

One by one people were brought up to the sorting hat. He glanced over at Mayu with a calm smile. Once either of their names were called it would be goodbye for now. Though Seth wondered how they were alphabetized because R would come closer to the end.

Mayu returned that calm smile. They haven't exchanged names, but he noticed the Sorting Hat solve that issue. A talking hat wasn't much stranger than anything else they've encountered.

Mayu Nozaki definitely came before Seth Rim in alphabetical order. He casually walked up to the hat when his name was called.

"Hey, don't fall asleep here!" the hat exclaimed. It took some time for Mayu to be sorted into Ravenclaw. His housemates did not look pleased.

The sorting hat wasn't exactly quiet and his comment made Seth chuckle softly. After a little while longer he was called up and after a moment the hat shout out his house as well.

"Ravenclaw!"

She slipped from the hat and took a seat at the table. He waved a hand to Mayu but they were now separated by a few people to talking, once again, wasn't really practical.
