You're a wizard, __! [OPEN LOG]

It doesn't matter what you were doing before you wake up here, how you managed to get here at all, or where you arrived at. All that mattered now was that you're suddenly in a new location and people are so insistent that you're a wizard. Whether or not that sinks in just yet, you may as well go through the motions and humor whomever -- or whatever -- brought you here.

Here are a few prompts to get you started, but there's no requirement to use any of the given prompts. If you feel that you would like to use something besides the prompts that are given, you're more than welcome to do so.

Also, there's this nifty little post to introduce who you are to the others out of character, so don't forget to check it out!

Prompts

Prompt A; Okay so maybe being dropped off in a bustling street in front of some old, broken down looking building isn't the best way to start your day, but inside there seems to be a number of curious customers. Given the state of the building, this place seems pretty busy otherwise. The Leaky Cauldron huh...? Guess there's no time to ponder where that is, because the man behind the bar seems particularly interested in you. Soon enough, he's leading you to a location. Great, maybe some answers... until you come to a brick wall...

Great. What are you supposed to do at a brick wall? Surprise! After a few taps on the bricks, there's suddenly a pathway opening up and then... another street? What's going on?

Prompt B; Well now that you've been taken to a place called "Diagon Alley", you seem to be left there by the man who was supposedly going to help you out. If you're lucky enough, a tall man with a bushy beard might happen to come to the rescue. All this talk about being a witch/wizard.... Are these people out of their minds? Clearly they don't think they are, because he'll happily help you find your school supplies and books.

Or maybe you decided to wonder around by yourself and check out the shops after figuring things out from the other people on the street going through the same process. Just be careful not to carelessly use up all of the money that's saved in your vaults in Gringotts though.

Prompt C; Nine and Three Quarters..... Supposedly you need to get to Platform Nine and Three Quarters, but everyone is telling you that it doesn't exist. How can it not exist when so many people were looking for it? Have people been playing with you for a fool? Well, that seems to be the case until you notice people running into a.... Were they running into a brick wall? That's completely stupid but yet... they disappeared? Apparently you must be stupid for trying it, but somehow or another it works out and... There's more people with trunks and supplies like you have. More importantly as a train that wasn't there before.

Hogwarts Express.

Once on the train, finding a place to sit might be a pain depending on how long it takes for you to find it, but why not make a few new friends and maybe try to find out just what's going on? Meanwhile there is a trolley going around for anyone who wants a snack.

Prompt D;  Boats.... Why did it have to be boats? And didn't you refuse to put on those robes that you were required to buy? Why has your clothing disappeared in substitution for these robes? Just don't rock the boat. Pretty sure the others riding with you won't be happy if you tip it over. At least land seems to be coming closer along with a giant castle.

Prompt E; After being sorted into your houses and sitting at your respective tables, you'll be given more freedom to move about and talk than you have been this entire time. Use that time to figure out if anyone else was in the same predicament as you are. Surely you can't be the only one confused. And this large spread of food that never seems to run out is a bit too tempting to decline.

Or maybe you've already returned to your new dorm common rooms? Take your pick.

An Unidentified Mystery Animal!

[ Gokudera was excited by the pixies, bending down to eye level so he could see them in the cage at lot easier. They chittered and made noises at him, but at least he wasn't stupid enough to stick his finger into the cage. ]

They're like the wonders of the world... like Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster.

They are called pixies, any idiot would know that.

[Is he implying someone is an idiot. Most likely, but never the less Kaoru picked up a book, looking at it before holding it to his chest. It was one he was going to need for school.]

But you know...Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster are real, even though people say they're not.

[ For a moment Kaoru has Gokudera's feathers ruffled... He's not an idiot!!! But... but then he says Bigfoot and The Loch Ness Monster are real and he really can't help switching off his temper in lieu of his fanboy. ]

Yes they are!! No one back home believes it but I know! It's so nice to meet someone else that knows!

[He is kind of glad he can not smirk, smile or even chuckle as he speaks. This guy really did believe in those types of things and he had to admit, it was kind of hilarious. But he'll keep playing along.]

It's a secret people keep covered so Muggles or non magic folk don't get scared. But since you are a magical type, I think it's okay for you to know the truth.

[ If Gokudera catches any kind of wind that Kaoru is making fun of him, all hell is going to break loose. But for now, he smiles proudly. ]

I've known the truth my whole life and wrote papers on it back home. This stuff is fascinating!

[ That no one ever saw because he was too much of a geek and too prideful of his image. But what the hell. No one knew him here and the place even had a pixie! Why not? ]

So you knew who you were before you came here? Yet your parents didn't believe you or those you knew? Curious about how that worked out?

[Part of him was, the other part was just asking out of boredom while looking for books he figured he'd have to read but didn't really want to.]

If you mean a believer in Bigfoot and other U.M.A's, yeah. This place? It's the crap that comes out of fantasy books.

[ Sorry but the parents topic is still a sore spot so he'll blatantly ignore that. He will, however, look down at his Uri and Vongola rings. ]

Not that the stuff where I come from is any better.

Fantasy in this case is reality. Anything muggles might not believe is true.

[He wondered what stuff the other had been on about, but he wasn't that curious to try and find out.]

Guess you have had experiences, but you get new ones here... I suppose.

[ Gokudera finally really looks up at the other guy, grabbing one of the books off the table with the pixies on it. ]

So uh. What's the school we're supposed to go to like?

[He paused, he couldn't help but chuckle slightly at the question in hand as he started to walk towards, him picking up another book without even checking the title.]

Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. have you not heard of it before? it's pretty famous among witches and wizards and for good reasons.

You could say that.

[ Unlike the other guy, Gokudera skims through the books he picks up. They're all pretty fascinating, but he'd rather get a volume or two on the history of this place so he knew what he was getting into. ]

Until today, I had no idea this stuff existed.

That's normal for those who were born into muggles. You wouldn't know.

[Made full sense honestly. Not that he judged that wasn't so much a thing and while he was proud of being a pureblood, he was kind of interested in others.]

[ Yeah. That's definitely a word he'd go back home with... if home wasn't this place for good. Gokudera's not sure, really. Did Irie screw up that bad that he got sent into a completely different universe without his friends or? Not that it should have taken him from Japan to London in the blink of an eye or anything.

His fingers skim along the books an without really realizing what he was picking up, a strong gust of wind, followed by rain, blasted him in the face. Whoops! ]

[Kaoru laughed slightly, he was still thinking that he was an idiot for not paying attention. then again he figured by now he knew nothing about all the kinds of books.]

yeah... You should have read to title of the book before doing that. Then again that was at least nice compared to another book students who take Care of Magical Creatures have to have.

[ Yeah. Needless to say he slammed that book shut and glared down at it. ]

Excuse the hell out of me for not knowing that crap like that can happen.

[ Gokudera sits the book back down, now adamant about at least reading the spines instead of deciding to pull them open to read a passage or two. ]

Do I even wanna know about that book though?

If you take that class you might have to though.

[He takes it himself for his O.W.ls at least because he thought why not. Seemed interesting]

[ Rather than immediately answering, Gokudera pulls the piece of paper out that has his book list and see's that nope. That book isn't on there. Problem is, he doesn't know whether to be thankful or curious. So instead, he decides that he really doesn't give a damn. ]

No, but here's one that sounds fascinating-- [ Oh, the sarcasm that drips from his voice. ] One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi. Oh, but there's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them!

Those are boooring. The Monster book of Monsters is much more interesting and I have one if you want to look.

[He held up the copy he had found on the shelf before the other had arrived. he wondered if the other was going to actually take it.]

Hey, speak for yourself! I don't know anything about these fantastic beasts so it might be interesting to me.

[ He'll cautiously look over that book, though. He's already learned his lesson by getting a small shower in his face. ]

That thing's not gonna do anything weird like that other book, is it?

[he's just going to smile and pretend it does nothing at all. Just so he can see the others reaction when the book tries to bite.]

Not that I am aware of, no.

[ Gokudera's not really the gullible type of guy. He's not super skeptical either, but a book is a book and even though the one with the raging storm gave him a small shower, he doesn't much see the harm in taking a book. That's something he's going to quickly learn, though. That not everything that seemed harmless actually was harmless.

At least things where he was from tended to be straight forward.

However, it's when he takes the book and unclasps the lock to open it, that he fully understands this concept. It went from being normal every day book one moment, to springing to life and trying to chomp his hand off the next. Gokudera's not exactly abashed by the fact he yelped and backed up. ]

WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST GIVE ME?!

[Kaoru moved his hands away quickly before giving a small shrug.]

It's a book. This one just happens to bite if one doesn't know how to handle it. I guess I should have mentioned it, but everyone learns this way. Seems unfair to make you the odd one out.

[However he hasn't even mentioned how to stop it doing that yet, he wasn't sure if he wanted to or not. He was a little amused. Where was Hikaru when he needed someone to laugh with.]

[ Why you-- DICK! Gokudera's temper explodes, ignoring the book in lieu of rushing forward to grab Kaoru by the front of his shirt. ]

How the hell do you make it stop then? It's gonna destroy the whole damn store if you don't turn it of!

[Kaoru laughed slightly. That reaction is kind of amusing really.]

If you'd let me go, I'll show you. Otherwise if you don't someone else will probably do it. Your choice.

[ Make no mistake, he's a huffy little rage monster as he jerks away from Kaoru and watches the pages of the Monster Book of Monsters rip itself apart and terrorize the rest of the store. ]

Fine. You do it. It's your mess anyway.
