You're a wizard, __! [OPEN LOG]

It doesn't matter what you were doing before you wake up here, how you managed to get here at all, or where you arrived at. All that mattered now was that you're suddenly in a new location and people are so insistent that you're a wizard. Whether or not that sinks in just yet, you may as well go through the motions and humor whomever -- or whatever -- brought you here.

Here are a few prompts to get you started, but there's no requirement to use any of the given prompts. If you feel that you would like to use something besides the prompts that are given, you're more than welcome to do so.

Also, there's this nifty little post to introduce who you are to the others out of character, so don't forget to check it out!

Prompts

Prompt A; Okay so maybe being dropped off in a bustling street in front of some old, broken down looking building isn't the best way to start your day, but inside there seems to be a number of curious customers. Given the state of the building, this place seems pretty busy otherwise. The Leaky Cauldron huh...? Guess there's no time to ponder where that is, because the man behind the bar seems particularly interested in you. Soon enough, he's leading you to a location. Great, maybe some answers... until you come to a brick wall...

Great. What are you supposed to do at a brick wall? Surprise! After a few taps on the bricks, there's suddenly a pathway opening up and then... another street? What's going on?

Prompt B; Well now that you've been taken to a place called "Diagon Alley", you seem to be left there by the man who was supposedly going to help you out. If you're lucky enough, a tall man with a bushy beard might happen to come to the rescue. All this talk about being a witch/wizard.... Are these people out of their minds? Clearly they don't think they are, because he'll happily help you find your school supplies and books.

Or maybe you decided to wonder around by yourself and check out the shops after figuring things out from the other people on the street going through the same process. Just be careful not to carelessly use up all of the money that's saved in your vaults in Gringotts though.

Prompt C; Nine and Three Quarters..... Supposedly you need to get to Platform Nine and Three Quarters, but everyone is telling you that it doesn't exist. How can it not exist when so many people were looking for it? Have people been playing with you for a fool? Well, that seems to be the case until you notice people running into a.... Were they running into a brick wall? That's completely stupid but yet... they disappeared? Apparently you must be stupid for trying it, but somehow or another it works out and... There's more people with trunks and supplies like you have. More importantly as a train that wasn't there before.

Hogwarts Express.

Once on the train, finding a place to sit might be a pain depending on how long it takes for you to find it, but why not make a few new friends and maybe try to find out just what's going on? Meanwhile there is a trolley going around for anyone who wants a snack.

Prompt D;  Boats.... Why did it have to be boats? And didn't you refuse to put on those robes that you were required to buy? Why has your clothing disappeared in substitution for these robes? Just don't rock the boat. Pretty sure the others riding with you won't be happy if you tip it over. At least land seems to be coming closer along with a giant castle.

Prompt E; After being sorted into your houses and sitting at your respective tables, you'll be given more freedom to move about and talk than you have been this entire time. Use that time to figure out if anyone else was in the same predicament as you are. Surely you can't be the only one confused. And this large spread of food that never seems to run out is a bit too tempting to decline.

Or maybe you've already returned to your new dorm common rooms? Take your pick.

[Well this whole thing was new and interesting. Different as well compared to home where they had adventures that reminded her of a roleplaying game. She had been sorted into Ravenclaw as well and given what they said about that house it made sense to her as to why she was put there.

When someone else came over after being sorted she simply smiled.]

It's nice to meet you, my name is Fuu. What's your name?

Seth.

[He takes a seat nearby though still a few spaces away. He's not used to being around so many people considering he's never been to school before. Bright yellow eyes glance up at her curiously before he looks at the others at the table.]

What's your name? [The question is a little awkward but he's trying to get better at basic manners. It's hard when you aren't around people a lot.]

My name is Fuu. [She gave a soft smile, she was always happy to help out, even if the situation she found herself in wasn't exactly one she had been in before. She couldn't even compared it to RPG's]

You were sorted just like I was... Do you know how the hat can do that?

[unbridledtiger]

[Seth has a guess but he can't say for certain so he won't.]

Magic?

[This is a school for magic after all?]

I figured, but I was wondering what kind of magic exactly. [What sort could do such a thing, that was going to plague her for a time at least. At least while she figured it out on her own anyway.]

Maybe magic that can bring inanimate objects to life, perhaps? Is there such a thing.

[unbridledtiger]

[Seth shrugs, he honestly couldn't tell her.]

I believe so. It could just be enchanted.

[From what he has read, those who founded Hogwarts and the houses who wizards of great skill and power. There is no doubt that one of them could create something like the sorting hat. Maybe even by putting pieces of themselves in it.]

Interesting. I wonder if there are other things in this world like that.

[What sort of things could be enchanted and how could magic be used. It was such an interesting thing to find out.]

I think I'm looking forward to learning here, aren't you?

[unbridledtiger]

Yeah.

[He pauses looking at her.]

Do you know what classes will be like?

[windofthephoenixtemple]

I haven't a clue, sorry to say. I've never been to his school before to know.

[She was about as clueless as the other was right about now.]

[unbridledtiger]

[He shakes his head slowly.]

No worries.

[Seth isn't sure what to say more and so he falls into silence. He looks over at the others at the table picking up on pieces of conversation. There is a buzz in the hall and it's the sort of excitement that is hard to escape.]

[windofthephoenixtemple]

[Fuu watched him for a moment or two, wondering if perhaps she should speak up again or something, but after a couple of minutes she couldn't think of an interesting topic, so she went with a random one instead.]

So...Did you know about being a wizard before you got that letter?

[unbridledtiger]

I knew about them.

[He smiles to himself as if it's ironic.]

I was surprised to be invited here.

[windofthephoenixtemple]

Surprised? Like I was.

[Mostly because she just got home from a situation. She didn't have time to get over what happened, but she knew deep down it has effected her.]

Though I don't have magic here, so for me this was very odd indeed.

[unbridledtiger]

[He smiles at that.]

I think everyone has magic. Those here can just reach it.

How would one know they have magic though? You said some can reach it, but then one has the question of how? I guess it wouldn't be easy, but still.

[Yes, she said a lot there, her brain is slowly going into overdrive just thinking about all of this.]

[unbridledtiger]

[He laughs softly.]

I think this school will teach you that.

I hope so.

[She smiles happily before the food finally appears. It all looked rather nice if she had to admit so.]

Guess we can dig in now that sorting is done.

[unbridledtiger]

[Seth nods but says nothing. He isn't used to eating anything because he doesn't need to. At the same time he doesn't want to be rude so he grabs a few small portions and places them on his plate.]

[Fuu had already taken a bit of everything since when in Rome. It was best to try out what they considered to be delicious food. Taking a bite of something that she couldn't be 100% sure of what it was, but it was quite nice.]

Have you tried this yet? It's really sweet, but the right kind as to not overload your taste buds.

[It’s far more complicated that he is willing to explain to her but he’s going to try and keep it vague.]

I’m not human. [He hope she can at least understand that.]

[She understood it rather quickly considering.]

Really, then what are you exactly?

[She wasn't creeped out or anything at all. In fact she sounded overly interested.]

[unbridledtiger]

[He shrugs at that.]

I don't really know. Not the eating hurts but... [It's weird.

Either way Seth picks up the strange looking food and takes a small bite.]

It is sweet.

[She watches the other, a small smile always on her face.]

I'm not the only one to think that then. That's a little relief to say the least. But if you had to pick anything out that you would want to eat, what do you think it would be here?

[That's a very hard question for him to answer.]

Berries.

[It is something he's often seen in dreams and it's not the sort of thing that is on the menu at restaurants but fruit is so amazing. The way it grows and changes, taking energy from the sun.]

Berries can be good for you, so that is a very good choice.

[She enjoyed them from time to time, but they weren't her favourite food.]
