You're a wizard, __! [OPEN LOG]

It doesn't matter what you were doing before you wake up here, how you managed to get here at all, or where you arrived at. All that mattered now was that you're suddenly in a new location and people are so insistent that you're a wizard. Whether or not that sinks in just yet, you may as well go through the motions and humor whomever -- or whatever -- brought you here.

Here are a few prompts to get you started, but there's no requirement to use any of the given prompts. If you feel that you would like to use something besides the prompts that are given, you're more than welcome to do so.

Also, there's this nifty little post to introduce who you are to the others out of character, so don't forget to check it out!

Prompts

Prompt A; Okay so maybe being dropped off in a bustling street in front of some old, broken down looking building isn't the best way to start your day, but inside there seems to be a number of curious customers. Given the state of the building, this place seems pretty busy otherwise. The Leaky Cauldron huh...? Guess there's no time to ponder where that is, because the man behind the bar seems particularly interested in you. Soon enough, he's leading you to a location. Great, maybe some answers... until you come to a brick wall...

Great. What are you supposed to do at a brick wall? Surprise! After a few taps on the bricks, there's suddenly a pathway opening up and then... another street? What's going on?

Prompt B; Well now that you've been taken to a place called "Diagon Alley", you seem to be left there by the man who was supposedly going to help you out. If you're lucky enough, a tall man with a bushy beard might happen to come to the rescue. All this talk about being a witch/wizard.... Are these people out of their minds? Clearly they don't think they are, because he'll happily help you find your school supplies and books.

Or maybe you decided to wonder around by yourself and check out the shops after figuring things out from the other people on the street going through the same process. Just be careful not to carelessly use up all of the money that's saved in your vaults in Gringotts though.

Prompt C; Nine and Three Quarters..... Supposedly you need to get to Platform Nine and Three Quarters, but everyone is telling you that it doesn't exist. How can it not exist when so many people were looking for it? Have people been playing with you for a fool? Well, that seems to be the case until you notice people running into a.... Were they running into a brick wall? That's completely stupid but yet... they disappeared? Apparently you must be stupid for trying it, but somehow or another it works out and... There's more people with trunks and supplies like you have. More importantly as a train that wasn't there before.

Hogwarts Express.

Once on the train, finding a place to sit might be a pain depending on how long it takes for you to find it, but why not make a few new friends and maybe try to find out just what's going on? Meanwhile there is a trolley going around for anyone who wants a snack.

Prompt D;  Boats.... Why did it have to be boats? And didn't you refuse to put on those robes that you were required to buy? Why has your clothing disappeared in substitution for these robes? Just don't rock the boat. Pretty sure the others riding with you won't be happy if you tip it over. At least land seems to be coming closer along with a giant castle.

Prompt E; After being sorted into your houses and sitting at your respective tables, you'll be given more freedom to move about and talk than you have been this entire time. Use that time to figure out if anyone else was in the same predicament as you are. Surely you can't be the only one confused. And this large spread of food that never seems to run out is a bit too tempting to decline.

Or maybe you've already returned to your new dorm common rooms? Take your pick.

Prompt F; Make your own prompt! If you'd rather do something else, feel free to do so!

Just please put your Character's Name in the the subject line! Happy wizardry!

"Oh, so your one of those people from a lower class. That actually makes a lot more sense now." Well it did to her and the way she said it might have made her sound quite rude, but being raised to be a lady and a wife to an earl is something she's had to live with.

Elizabeth was starting to annoy Mayu. Her assumption about class was quite rude, and illogical. If she was so high class, she should have had a better education. Different cultures having different standards of etiquette should have been obvious. Class structure also wasn't universal. He had no clue about her being from Victorian England. His family was financially stable, so he never considered himself lower class.

"Middle class," Mayu responded, not hiding how irritated he was with her apparent ignorance.

Middle class did sound better than lower class and she knew it was around, but she thought they at least had manners better than what she assumed this guy had, which currently was still a rather low standard.

"So... if your middle class that could explain some things, but not the lack in manners, but then again that could be something else worse than manners."

Mayu gave Lizzie a flat look. He knew he was being insulted and that she wouldn't let him ignore her.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

He wasn't expecting a reasonable explanation, but he still didn't want to put the effort into arguing with her. Maybe she would eventually give up and let him go back to sleep.

"What do I mean? Something worse than manners is laziness. Not wanting to do things because they can't be bothered. That's something my mother would never tolerate."

She knew she would always have to be doing something, she could never be lazy. She also had to do what she had to while at the same time making sure she did what her mother expected of her.

"Okay," he replied casually.

Mayu couldn't deny the laziness. He found ways to avoid doing anything he found unessesary. He saw no point in putting effort into unimportant things, like explaining his reasons to a girl too close minded to consider other cultures. He saved his energy for judo and texting Mamiko-san.

Height put some work into learning magic, because some spells were labor savers.

Sleeping on a train wasn't laziness, though. That was the most sensible use of travel time.

She rested a hand on her lap, looking over to the side and out the window. She already figured out at this point that he wasn't one to go beyond one word answers, so what would be the point in trying to be polite if one didn't even try on the other end.

However she knew that there was no other carriage, so instead for the rest of the journey she would sit in complete silent. Every now and again though she would either get something she had brought to eat, or just look out the window at the few.
