Great Hall, breakfast

[That morning at the Ravenclaw table is... well, Kenya would say awkward, but he's probably the only one to feel that way, with how animatedly everyone seems to be chatting. And everyone talks about last night. EVERYONE. He hears his own name several times, which makes him feel like crying. Not that he's a crybaby, but this? It's a MESS. Not to mention Matsuoka walked into the Great Hall a couple of minutes ago looking ready to kill someone (presumably Kenya), which almost made him wet his pants. But then the Slytherin captain stumbled to his own table and Kenya realized the redhead was just sick. The part of him that was pretty much a healer in training felt bad for the Slytherin, the rest of him just moaned in pain. He's so dead.]

Rest of the Day

[The rest of the day doesn't feel less awkward and tortuous than the morning. The talk has managed to spread outside of Ravenclaw borders and whenever he passes people, they look at him, either with pity, or a snicker. It doesn't help that it's Sunday and there are no lessons to distract himself with and each time he runs into Gareki, he has to turn the other way and flee, because he's that sure he's about to get killed. He has no idea how he'll survive the night. Maybe he should build himself a nest atop the tower, sleep there. Alone. Waiting for Matsuoka to find him and do it. Slowly. Piece by agonizing piece.

The worst thing is there's nowhere to hide. Library is out of the question, at this time occupied mostly by Ravenclaws, it's a beautiful day, so everyone's at the lake, or somewhere outside, and even the pitch had been occupied. He's tempted to go and hide in the dungeons, go practice some potions, or just fly to the astronomy tower and sit there all day and night. Maybe it will be gone by tomorrow, he thinks miserably, but he knows it's a feeble hope. He should just write his will and quietly wait for the gallows.]

Great Hall, Morning OWL mail

[It's the Monday after the quidditch match, when he feels really well rested and recharged, if not a bit gloomy. He spent the Sunday in, doing relaxing stuff, like he always does the Sunday after a game, but usually until now, that also meant pleasant company and a little loving, but he ain't got that anymore, right? Time to move on.

Or so he thinks, right until the moment when the morning mail arrives. Unexpectedly, a letter lands right in front of him, making him blink twice, but when he inspects it, it's like a rope tightens around his heart. There is no sender on the envelope, but he's recognize that playful, quirky handwriting anywhere. He opens it carefully, his hands shaking just enough for the paper to tremble softly, as he starts reading.

And as he reads, several different emotions wash over him in quick succession. First there's a sense of relief, worry and relief again, as he reads the reasons, the explanation. Months he'd been agonizing over what he did wrong, whether it was something he said, that made her pack and leave, because what else could it possibly be? Family issues have not come to his mind and he kicks himself hard. Second there's apprehension as he reads further, because it seems there's something else, another reason he's receiving this letter. And lastly shock, when he reaches the last paragraph. Shock, combined with exaltation and at the same, despair.

Father. He's going to... father.

The joy the message brings him soars in his heart, only to be crushed by the despair of not being able to be there, possibly not even getting to know his child.

He takes another look at the envelope, because maybe there was a sender, he just missed to see it, but there is none. No trace of where the letter came from, nowhere to go, or even respond. The knowledge that she didn't even want to hear a reply crushes him. He has no way of reaching her, no way of telling her it all will be alright. All he can do is silently bear this knowledge.]

Through the day, anywhere (practice, office, elsewhere, hoops)

[The rest of the day is somewhat a blur. Barely something registers through the haze in his mind, or the emotional roller coaster he spends the day riding. During practice he's either unfocused, or snappy, in some moments unnecessary strict, at others unreasonably lenient. When there's nothing going on, he can be seen sitting somewhere, with his head between his hands. The second the day reaches it's end, he locks himself in his office and can't be seen for the rest of the evening.

Only those who visit the pitch at the late hours would find him, sitting in one of the hoops, balancing his weight on the thin ledge, bottle of whiskey in hand, from the broom parked right next to him a full basket of bottles hanging.]

((ooc: For reference, he's gotten this letter.

Hospital Wing, November 11th and beyond

[ It happened again... She's starting to wonder if she's just doomed to get sick at this time of the year.

Dizzy with fever and an extremely sore throat are the symptoms plaguing her, and on the day before the Quidditch match too! Slytherin vs. Gryffindor, she doesn't want to miss that, but... From what she's heard from Madame Pomfrey, she probably won't be well enough to watch tomorrow. Wonderful.

She sighs, sinking into the bed she's resting in a bit and closing her eyes. She doesn't want to sleep, she wants to cry, of all the rotten luck. She's already been told off for overworking and not resting enough, and at least it waited until the end of classes on Friday to get worse but... Sigh. There are probably some people who're going to miss her in the great hall, and she still had tutoring to do. Ugh...

And she still can't watch the match. That isn't fair. It's not as bad as not being able to play, but still!

Whether it's the evening on the 11th or into the 12th and even the 13th, Adela is still stuck in bed and mostly resting with potions to help things along. But, she won't spend all that time alone, will she? ]

Owlery

[It's a few days after the masquerade, when he spirits are finally gone, that Yogi visits the owlery, the letter, he spent the better part of the last three days writing, in hand, and stands in front of one of the school owls, hesitation written over his features. The spirits have disappeared, but a part of them has stayed, he thinks. It has been the morning after the masquerade, that he gathered his courage with Gareki's help and finally went to see the spirits that kept appearing to him and since then... Well, it had been a lot to digest, what they told him. But ultimately, they left more questions open than answered, which is why he's where he is now, wondering whether this is a good idea. He has the feeling once this can of worms is open, it won't close again. And he might end up hurting the only closest people to a family that he has. What to do?]

Common Room

[Coming to terms with who you are is never easy, especially if you have no idea about half the things you are, but after a few good talks with his friends and taking a step forward, he's starting to accept it. At least he's smiling and talking to people again, not just curled into the tiniest ball he could do, hiding in the farthest corner of the couch. And he's knitting again, his cat usually in his lap, or playing with the yarn, as Yogi works on the new cute scarf for one of his friends. Or all of them.]

Library

[With the classes back, Yogi finds spending his time, when he's not cuddling his cat, mostly in the library. It's his last year and his grades really need improving, before NEWTs come along (Hirato's words, not his), so there are times when Yogi can be seen in one of the sunny corners, slumped against a book, expression on his face borderline desperate. Why are books written always in such a complicated manner?!]

Quidditch Pitch
[Hinata was sitting in the stands watching everyone practice to begin with. He couldn't help but be amazed at how they trained at this school. It was so different than what he had been use to back home. The storms, the aeroplanes he had to avoid for the most part, most of the time quite narrowly. It was always tough training at his old school, but seeing none of that here... His eyes widen and his mouth shaped to an o. He was interested. perhaps a little too fascinated considering he might not necessarily be watching the house he is in practice.

When it was Hufflepuffs practicing, Hinata can be found on the field, broom in hand and a wide grin on his face. He was honestly looking forward to it.]

Hello and welcome to Mana and Willow's first real event of the year! We hope you enjoy what we have in store, so look below and hop right in~

The ghosts are multiplying. Professors and the head mistress have no idea why, but they are. A small influx of new ghosts will crop up to join the likes of Nearly Headless Nick, Peeves, and all the others running around on the 26th. As the 31st draws nearer, Hogwarts castle will start to feel crowded. A small handful of ghosts will multiply into dozens literally over night, and by the 31st it may be next to impossible to find peace away from them. But, by midnight of the 31st they'll start disappearing and will be gone all together by the 2nd of November.

BOO!
26.10. - 02.11.

PROMPTS

The Walking Dead.
Among the spirits visiting the school this year, some may likely be ancestors and relatives. They may either seek you out or you them, but it's up to you if you'll let them. It's up to you what happens afterward.

Something wicked this way comes. Maybe.
Some spirits may be benign and not realize you're there. They may not even realize they are in Hogwarts castle, floating as if mindless and sightless. Some may be like Peeves and try to cause mischief. Your suffering is their amusement or just a good way to pass the time. They may torment you or they just may trick you. Other spirits might just want some company, but beware of these ones. They all have a tale to tell and won't let you leave until they're finished.

Classes are canceled.
Due to too many spirits interfering, classes have either been suspended for the day of Monday the 31st or moved outside. No one can think straight, let alone breath normally, and space inside the castle is cramped and limited. But don't count on classes staying this way, since the next day with the noticeable disappearance of spirits classes will continue on as normal.

Enjoy your freedom while you can, kids.

Make your own fun.
Don't see anything in this list that interests you? Feel free to play around and make your own fun out of this scenario. There are plenty of spirits running around and lots to do with what's going on. Have fun!

PARTY TIME
31.10.

HALLOWEEN / THE NIGHT OF SAMHAIN

It's that time of year again where Hogwarts celebrates the most coveted of holiday's for witches and wizards; Halloween. Some may call it Samhain, though. But either way, it's a day dedicated to celebrating all that the magically gifted have to offer. Hogwarts does it with a yearly masquerade, though this year may be a little more somber for some due to the ghosts. Your characters are encouraged to have fun still!

Inside the Great Hall

Food and Drink
Where the headmistress and professors usually sit has been transformed into a buffet of food and drink. There are traditional items such as pumpkin juice and butterbeer, but among them are bubbling concoctions that practically glow as fog overflows from cups. Inside are ominous liquids, but upon the first sip will offer exactly what your character wants a drink of. There are no limitations when it comes to it - coffee, tea, soda, juice - all the flavors of the world are open.

The food being served are typical treats. Pastries of all varieties, savory or sweet, cookies and cakes. But, in the center of the table where the headmistress usually sits, is a large bowl of Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans. Care to try your hand and see if you got something that tastes good or foul? It's the ultimate Trick or Treat.

Dance Floor
Behind the refreshment table instruments have been bewitched to play music. It floats onto the dance floor, the Great Hall's ceiling high above sparkling with clear skies and beautiful view of twinkling stars. The mood is set to have a great time, the floor of the Great Hall free for movement.

Would you care to dance?

Wallflowers
There are small round tables placed near the entrance of the Great Hall that arc into a U-shape around the dance floor, chairs surrounding each table. They're the only seats around, but there's plenty for those who are too stubborn to move onto the floor with a partner or ask someone to dance with them.

Outside the Great Hall

The hallway.
From inside the Great Hall music drifts outside into the halls above the light chatter of people having fun. There is also the smell of delicious foods and promises of fun inside. But despite this, if crowds are not your scene and you want some peace and quiet, the hallway is a great place to gain some distance from it all and still be considered a party-goer.

Courtyard.
In light of Halloween being upon them, the courtyard is decorated with what could be considered glittering lights if electricity was a common place thing. Instead, they're small candles inside of appropriately small lanterns. It's a thing of beauty, seen only once a year by students around Halloween. It's not the ghoulish holiday the muggle world makes it out to be, but it is steeped in rich history and Witches and Wizards celebrate accordingly.

It's not encouraged (though it's not discouraged either) to move out into the courtyard so late at night. Always have your wits about you, children.

Hogwarts at large.
The masquerade not enough for you? Do you just feel like going back to the dorms or wandering the halls? That's perfectly acceptable too.

Make your own fun.
Don't see anything in this list that interests you? Feel free to play around and make your own fun out of this scenario. There are plenty of spirits running around and lots to do with what's going on. Have fun!
