[Event] Happy Halloween!

Hello and welcome to Mana and Willow's first real event of the year! We hope you enjoy what we have in store, so look below and hop right in~

The ghosts are multiplying. Professors and the head mistress have no idea why, but they are. A small influx of new ghosts will crop up to join the likes of Nearly Headless Nick, Peeves, and all the others running around on the 26th. As the 31st draws nearer, Hogwarts castle will start to feel crowded. A small handful of ghosts will multiply into dozens literally over night, and by the 31st it may be next to impossible to find peace away from them. But, by midnight of the 31st they'll start disappearing and will be gone all together by the 2nd of November.

BOO!
26.10. - 02.11.

PROMPTS

The Walking Dead.
Among the spirits visiting the school this year, some may likely be ancestors and relatives. They may either seek you out or you them, but it's up to you if you'll let them. It's up to you what happens afterward.

Something wicked this way comes. Maybe.
Some spirits may be benign and not realize you're there. They may not even realize they are in Hogwarts castle, floating as if mindless and sightless. Some may be like Peeves and try to cause mischief. Your suffering is their amusement or just a good way to pass the time. They may torment you or they just may trick you. Other spirits might just want some company, but beware of these ones. They all have a tale to tell and won't let you leave until they're finished.

Classes are canceled.
Due to too many spirits interfering, classes have either been suspended for the day of Monday the 31st or moved outside. No one can think straight, let alone breath normally, and space inside the castle is cramped and limited. But don't count on classes staying this way, since the next day with the noticeable disappearance of spirits classes will continue on as normal.

Enjoy your freedom while you can, kids.

Make your own fun.
Don't see anything in this list that interests you? Feel free to play around and make your own fun out of this scenario. There are plenty of spirits running around and lots to do with what's going on. Have fun!

PARTY TIME
31.10.

HALLOWEEN / THE NIGHT OF SAMHAIN

It's that time of year again where Hogwarts celebrates the most coveted of holiday's for witches and wizards; Halloween. Some may call it Samhain, though. But either way, it's a day dedicated to celebrating all that the magically gifted have to offer. Hogwarts does it with a yearly masquerade, though this year may be a little more somber for some due to the ghosts. Your characters are encouraged to have fun still!

Inside the Great Hall

Food and Drink
Where the headmistress and professors usually sit has been transformed into a buffet of food and drink. There are traditional items such as pumpkin juice and butterbeer, but among them are bubbling concoctions that practically glow as fog overflows from cups. Inside are ominous liquids, but upon the first sip will offer exactly what your character wants a drink of. There are no limitations when it comes to it - coffee, tea, soda, juice - all the flavors of the world are open.

The food being served are typical treats. Pastries of all varieties, savory or sweet, cookies and cakes. But, in the center of the table where the headmistress usually sits, is a large bowl of Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans. Care to try your hand and see if you got something that tastes good or foul? It's the ultimate Trick or Treat.

Dance Floor
Behind the refreshment table instruments have been bewitched to play music. It floats onto the dance floor, the Great Hall's ceiling high above sparkling with clear skies and beautiful view of twinkling stars. The mood is set to have a great time, the floor of the Great Hall free for movement.

Would you care to dance?

Wallflowers
There are small round tables placed near the entrance of the Great Hall that arc into a U-shape around the dance floor, chairs surrounding each table. They're the only seats around, but there's plenty for those who are too stubborn to move onto the floor with a partner or ask someone to dance with them.

Outside the Great Hall

The hallway.
From inside the Great Hall music drifts outside into the halls above the light chatter of people having fun. There is also the smell of delicious foods and promises of fun inside. But despite this, if crowds are not your scene and you want some peace and quiet, the hallway is a great place to gain some distance from it all and still be considered a party-goer.

Courtyard.
In light of Halloween being upon them, the courtyard is decorated with what could be considered glittering lights if electricity was a common place thing. Instead, they're small candles inside of appropriately small lanterns. It's a thing of beauty, seen only once a year by students around Halloween. It's not the ghoulish holiday the muggle world makes it out to be, but it is steeped in rich history and Witches and Wizards celebrate accordingly.

It's not encouraged (though it's not discouraged either) to move out into the courtyard so late at night. Always have your wits about you, children.

Hogwarts at large.
The masquerade not enough for you? Do you just feel like going back to the dorms or wandering the halls? That's perfectly acceptable too.

Make your own fun.
