The 19th -- An Unwanted Annual Tradition
Hospital Wing, November 11th and beyond
[ It happened again... She's starting to wonder if she's just doomed to get sick at this time of the year.
Dizzy with fever and an extremely sore throat are the symptoms plaguing her, and on the day before the Quidditch match too! Slytherin vs. Gryffindor, she doesn't want to miss that, but... From what she's heard from Madame Pomfrey, she probably won't be well enough to watch tomorrow. Wonderful.
She sighs, sinking into the bed she's resting in a bit and closing her eyes. She doesn't want to sleep, she wants to cry, of all the rotten luck. She's already been told off for overworking and not resting enough, and at least it waited until the end of classes on Friday to get worse but... Sigh. There are probably some people who're going to miss her in the great hall, and she still had tutoring to do. Ugh...
And she still can't watch the match. That isn't fair. It's not as bad as not being able to play, but still!
Whether it's the evening on the 11th or into the 12th and even the 13th, Adela is still stuck in bed and mostly resting with potions to help things along. But, she won't spend all that time alone, will she? ]

Only to find out she'd gotten herself stuck in the infirmary. He decides to visit, quietly padding into the room out of respect of anyone else in there. But as he gets to the end of the bed he leans down and places his palms on the metal footrail. ]
Oi oi. What's this, lying on the job Adelacchi?
[ He tisks and unceremoniously plops on the edge of the bed by her feet. ]

[ She stops with a wince, because not only does it hurt to talk but is that how her voice sounds? God, she probably sounds terrible...
Sigh. Flopping back into the bed now. ]
I'm only here 'cause Madame Pomfrey would pitch a fit if I didn't rest here...
no subject
Also because he's considerate he won't say how awful she sounds. You're welcome. ]
How long are you here for?
no subject
[ She's looking away and wincing again. Yeah, he can probably guess what that means... ]
... Rin'll just have to tell me how it ends.

When that failed he found himself at the hospital wing, when he spotted her he smiled and waved.]
Hellllllo Adela~! What brings you here?
no subject
[ And how weak and raspy her voice sounds likely answers that question for Kaoru, and she still hates it. At least the tea Kise brought is still there... ]
Madame Pomfrey insists that I'm sick...
no subject
[That was probably not the best thing to say, but he rubs the beck of his neck slightly.]
I mean you look sick, which much suck considering what tomorrow is.

However it seemed like she wasn't there, which caused the young woman to sigh slightly before looking over to finally notice someone else was here.]
Oh! Hello there. I didn't see you.
no subject
[ Well, that's different... She's pretty sure a girl she's never seen before isn't there to visit her at least. Probably looking for Madame Pomfrey... ]
She'll be back in a few minutes, if you want to wait.

[Plus she wanted to talk to her anyway about the various potions she makes. if she made them obvious and how. She had always been interested after all.]

Hi there, I would ask how are you, but you look bad.
no subject
[ She probably sounds about as bad as she looks too, and even if it hurts to talk apparently she's still going to be doing it a lot. Adela's still trying to not overdo it though, at least not now. ]
Still wanted to watch...

[He knew all members were equal at least and that if one cog wasn't working then the rest could fail and break as well.]
Makes you wish cameras and the like worked here. If they had done recording would have been a breeze.

the 12th
Kise plopped onto the edge of the bed and flopped back onto his elbows, half laying all over Adela's feet. ]
Wanna hear the outcome of the match?
no subject
You'd be sulking if you lost.
[ Still hurts to talk, but she can manage for Kise for the time being. ]
Was it a close game?
no subject
We were up in points already before Rinicchi caught the snitch. Almost dove head first into something to do it--
[ Excuse him while he takes a little devilish pleasure in this. They both tease him enough about stuff, now he has something to lord over Rin. ]
you might have had a buddy in here!

Sunday 13th
And too high on victory for being infirmary-decent.]
Yo~
[He greets as he approaches Adela and sighs at her, when he sees her lying in the bed, looking like a huge ball of misery.]
You need to stop doing this. Seriously... How do you wanna learn for OWLs and win matches, if you spend most of your time lying here?
[Pulling up a chair, he sits backwards on it, legs spreading around the back.]
How are you?
no subject
[ It doesn't hurt as much to talk anymore at least, and her voice probably sounds better too (not that she can really tell). She shifts to sit up then, wearing a weary smile for him as she makes herself comfortable again. ]
I heard from Kise that you guys won yesterday, and that you were pretty reckless trying to catch the snitch.
no subject
[Rin grumbles, as he looks away. He knows another such idiot, that sacrifices his own health for results and then ends up out of commission. Honestly, what's up with people? But then she comments on him being just as reckless and he flinches. News travel fast, huh?]
I wasn't reckless. I'm a seeker. A lot of seeker maneuvers are reckless, which is why we practice hard until we master them.
[One of these days, he'll do the Wronski feint and amaze people with his skill. Once he's sure it won't land him a broken nose.]

[When Adela gets there, he's still there since Pomfrey wanted to keep him in check for at least the night.]

[ She sighs, managing a weak smile and for him as she looks Shiraishi over. ]
You going to watch it tomorrow?
no subject
[Even if the first match is against Ravenclaw, they're still their future opponents.]

Hey.

[ She'd been wondering wondering when Hikaru would come to see her -- Kaoru must have told him where she is. Her expression softens a little, and she shifts to sit up so she can talk to Hikaru while he's there -- even if it hurts a bit to do so. ]
I guess I overdid it...
