eveofdarkness[Courtyard]
[It was strange to discover that magic was real after having lived most of her life creating the illusion of magic in a fictional town. Much of her time during her initial arrival to Hogwarts was spent figuring out the trick behind everything. As time passed though, curiosity of what magic she could produce took over.
On this particular day, she could be found in the courtyard, practicing first year charm spells --as she was apparently a year behind on her studies-- with a bit of flare in the waving of her wand. At times she would say an incantation and other times she simply was just waving around her wand. It was as if she was trying to find a style of wand waving that she liked while casting spells. Inbetween wand waving, she would sit down on a nearby bench and appear to be taking notes of her performance.]
[Dungeons]
[Later on that day, Eve would move down to the dungeons into one of the spare rooms used for Potions class. She was looking over her homework assignment (sleeping draught) that was due the next day. While the recipes were based on magic, she still felt a strange familiarity of measuring and mixing ingredients to create a potion. She recalled the times she spent helping her father, who was a doctor and played the role of the alchemist in their town.
From what she has read and learned, potion making had similar ideas and concepts she was already aware of through her father. Although this time she didn't have her father's help if she weren't certain of something. Right now, she wasn't sure why the draught she made was not turning clear. It was a darkish gray color. Was there something she missed? Too little ingredients or one too many stirs?]
