The 19th -- An Unwanted Annual Tradition

Hospital Wing, November 11th and beyond

[ It happened again... She's starting to wonder if she's just doomed to get sick at this time of the year.

Dizzy with fever and an extremely sore throat are the symptoms plaguing her, and on the day before the Quidditch match too! Slytherin vs. Gryffindor, she doesn't want to miss that, but... From what she's heard from Madame Pomfrey, she probably won't be well enough to watch tomorrow. Wonderful.

She sighs, sinking into the bed she's resting in a bit and closing her eyes. She doesn't want to sleep, she wants to cry, of all the rotten luck. She's already been told off for overworking and not resting enough, and at least it waited until the end of classes on Friday to get worse but... Sigh. There are probably some people who're going to miss her in the great hall, and she still had tutoring to do. Ugh...

And she still can't watch the match. That isn't fair. It's not as bad as not being able to play, but still!

Whether it's the evening on the 11th or into the 12th and even the 13th, Adela is still stuck in bed and mostly resting with potions to help things along. But, she won't spend all that time alone, will she? ]

Well I need to, so I guess I can stick around.

[Plus she wanted to talk to her anyway about the various potions she makes. if she made them obvious and how. She had always been interested after all.]

What are you in for?

I'm sick, apparently.

[ Big sigh. Adela flops against the pillow to look at the ceiling then. ]

High fever, sore throat, super tired... Stuff like that.

So the flu?

[Because that's what it sounded like really to her.]

I could be wrong on that one though.

I don't know, maybe... Haven't really been coughing and sneezing a lot though.

But yet the other symptoms seem to point to it. Or at least the start of it at least. But I am not a nurse I couldn't say if it really was that or not. But I can understand it if it was. But being ill is never nice.

... I wanted to watch the game tomorrow.

[ Another sigh and she rolls over onto her side, pulling the covers to wrap around her body a bit more. ]

Guess that's not happening though... Least it's not before a game we're playing, but still.

The nurse probably won't let you, no and that's rather sad. I mean I always feel bad for those who want to watch the matches but can't because there here.

[She wished there could have been soemthing she could do, but she couldn't really think of anything.]

[ Adela's quiet for a few moments, keeping her eyes closed and taking her time to think over what she wants to say. ]

Are you watching the game tomorrow...?

[She shakes her head slightly.]

No, I'm not because I'm playing in the match tomorrow. I'm the chaser for Gryffindor.

Ah... Good luck, tomorrow. Hopw the game's good.

I hope it's fun no matter who wins.

[While it was like a competition she was at least the type of person to hope everyone was going to have a good time at least. But she bows slightly as she hears the other come back. Now she could get things sorted.]
