The 19th -- An Unwanted Annual Tradition
Hospital Wing, November 11th and beyond
[ It happened again... She's starting to wonder if she's just doomed to get sick at this time of the year.
Dizzy with fever and an extremely sore throat are the symptoms plaguing her, and on the day before the Quidditch match too! Slytherin vs. Gryffindor, she doesn't want to miss that, but... From what she's heard from Madame Pomfrey, she probably won't be well enough to watch tomorrow. Wonderful.
She sighs, sinking into the bed she's resting in a bit and closing her eyes. She doesn't want to sleep, she wants to cry, of all the rotten luck. She's already been told off for overworking and not resting enough, and at least it waited until the end of classes on Friday to get worse but... Sigh. There are probably some people who're going to miss her in the great hall, and she still had tutoring to do. Ugh...
And she still can't watch the match. That isn't fair. It's not as bad as not being able to play, but still!
Whether it's the evening on the 11th or into the 12th and even the 13th, Adela is still stuck in bed and mostly resting with potions to help things along. But, she won't spend all that time alone, will she? ]

[ It doesn't hurt as much to talk anymore at least, and her voice probably sounds better too (not that she can really tell). She shifts to sit up then, wearing a weary smile for him as she makes herself comfortable again. ]
I heard from Kise that you guys won yesterday, and that you were pretty reckless trying to catch the snitch.

[Rin grumbles, as he looks away. He knows another such idiot, that sacrifices his own health for results and then ends up out of commission. Honestly, what's up with people? But then she comments on him being just as reckless and he flinches. News travel fast, huh?]
I wasn't reckless. I'm a seeker. A lot of seeker maneuvers are reckless, which is why we practice hard until we master them.
[One of these days, he'll do the Wronski feint and amaze people with his skill. Once he's sure it won't land him a broken nose.]

[ Adela frowns at him, raising a brow. Still, she won't push, and... Well, she does know he's right about it, that she does push too hard. It gets her to sigh again, and she looks up at the ceiling with that. ]
I want to do well in school but because not everything sticks the first time I have to study longer to make sure I've got it right... There's tutoring too, and practice... I got named captain for the team you know, so of all people I can't skip practices even if I wanted to. I guess it's just hard to keep up with everything all the time.

[He looks away to hide his embarrassment. Okay, so maybe he's been a tiny bit reckless, but he had it all counted out. He knew he could make it. Or at least, that's his story and he's sticking to it. Nevermind, that even if the snitch had been an inch from the tribunes, he'd have gone for it. But what's a few bruises if you get victory in return?
He listens to her, when she tells him everything she's been struggling with and sighs.]
I know it's hard. I've been there last year and even without the whole captaincy, it's been hard. But you can't forget the most important thing, which is take care of yourself. It won't do anyone any good, if you collapse. You need to ease up a little, focus on yourself too. If it helps we can practice together, just don't exhaust yourself like this, okay?

... Maybe I should try to ease up on tutoring a bit. It sucks, but it's probably the only thing I can really cut isn't it...?

Yeah. You need to put yourself first.
[All the others can come after that.]
And if you need help with some spells, I still have them in my memory. I could help you out, if that makes it easier.
[Definitely the better option than visiting her in the infirmary. And not to brag, but he did pass his OWLs with no lesser grade than Exceeding expectations.]
If you need help, all you have to do is ask, stupid.

[He answers with a shrug of shoulders.]
And besides, I'd be rehearsing anyway. Nothing wrong if we do it together. And if I keep repeating my spells now, I'll have less things to worry about next year.
[He's heard about the hell the NEWTs are, he is not underestimating it.]

[ Adela finally manages a smile for him, laying back in her bed and making herself a little more comfortable. ]
I should be good to return to class tomorrow at least. I'm not about to let myself get sick before our first game either.
