A. Corridor (outside the Prefect's Bathroom)
[ The fact that she's starting to have to bathe in here regularly just so that she doesn't get harassed is starting to become a problem.
Adela can't help sighing with the soak, frowning at the ceiling as she thinks it over. Those girls in Gryffindor haven't gotten violent yet, but she is getting bothered worse just for trying to hang out with her friends. How many threatening notes has she had to burn up? How many times has she had to repair her own torn bag, or retrieve stolen goods of hers? The fact that she's starting to have to lock up everything of hers behind magic...
But, who'd believe her if she said anything? Sano would, but the girls could claim it was nothing... And it just isn't worth the head ache. If she keeps going on like nothing's wrong and proving that the girls aren't getting to her, they'll eventually stop right? They're not like Zelman, they're just petty and stupid.
It doesn't help that, when she leaves the bathroom, there's another note pinned outside and waiting for her. Adela only barely gives it a read before pulling out her wand and burning the paper to ashes, disposing of them in a nearby bin after.
Unfortunately, this time she might have a witness to said burning... ]
B. Library
[ She knew it'd happen eventually, but it still sucks that it did.
Adela can't help sighing as she sets her things down on a table in the library, leaning on the table a moment later. Those girls... They've been bothering her more and more to stop hanging out with her friends, and as much as she's trying to not let it bother her... Well, being three times late to class and finally getting a detention for it is pretty hard to ignore. Things were supposed to be better when school got back in session, not worse. The only saving grace about that is that most of her friends are in the year above, so they don't have to know about that if she doesn't want them to.
It's for an extra assignment that Adela starts pulling out her texts then, feeling more tired than anything else. It's really bad that she's almost wishing it was Zelman again, because even when it was him he never made her late for class or harassed her as doggedly as these girls were. The fact that they're girls and she has to keep up a good image as Hufflepuff's Captain is starting to get to her too. Short of stopping her from getting to class on time, threatening notes, and the occasional harmless prank, she's got nothing though... And that just makes it worse.
Well, the fact that no rumours have spread about her and the Gryffindor girls probably means that at least the whole thing's still quiet. Even if there are unsavoury rumours about her and the boys she hangs out with starting to pop up... It's nothing as long as she can keep going with her studies and Quidditch as she has, right? And it's not like that kind of stuff is enough to get her friends to stop hanging out with her.
Maybe Adela hasn't realized just how much this is tiring her out though, but before long she's asleep on top of her text book and notes in the library again. When someone does rouse her awake she jolts, startled and blinking before masking a yawn. She might not even know who she's talking to when she speaks almost mindlessly and tries to wake back up. ]
Sorry about that... You need the table or something?
