It doesn't matter what you were doing before you wake up here, how you managed to get here at all, or where you arrived at. All that mattered now was that you're suddenly in a new location and people are so insistent that you're a wizard. Whether or not that sinks in just yet, you may as well go through the motions and humor whomever -- or whatever -- brought you here.

Here are a few prompts to get you started, but there's no requirement to use any of the given prompts. If you feel that you would like to use something besides the prompts that are given, you're more than welcome to do so.

Also, there's this nifty little post to introduce who you are to the others out of character, so don't forget to check it out!

Prompts

Prompt A; Okay so maybe being dropped off in a bustling street in front of some old, broken down looking building isn't the best way to start your day, but inside there seems to be a number of curious customers. Given the state of the building, this place seems pretty busy otherwise. The Leaky Cauldron huh...? Guess there's no time to ponder where that is, because the man behind the bar seems particularly interested in you. Soon enough, he's leading you to a location. Great, maybe some answers... until you come to a brick wall...

Great. What are you supposed to do at a brick wall? Surprise! After a few taps on the bricks, there's suddenly a pathway opening up and then... another street? What's going on?

Prompt B; Well now that you've been taken to a place called "Diagon Alley", you seem to be left there by the man who was supposedly going to help you out. If you're lucky enough, a tall man with a bushy beard might happen to come to the rescue. All this talk about being a witch/wizard.... Are these people out of their minds? Clearly they don't think they are, because he'll happily help you find your school supplies and books.

Or maybe you decided to wonder around by yourself and check out the shops after figuring things out from the other people on the street going through the same process. Just be careful not to carelessly use up all of the money that's saved in your vaults in Gringotts though.

Prompt C; Nine and Three Quarters..... Supposedly you need to get to Platform Nine and Three Quarters, but everyone is telling you that it doesn't exist. How can it not exist when so many people were looking for it? Have people been playing with you for a fool? Well, that seems to be the case until you notice people running into a.... Were they running into a brick wall? That's completely stupid but yet... they disappeared? Apparently you must be stupid for trying it, but somehow or another it works out and... There's more people with trunks and supplies like you have. More importantly as a train that wasn't there before.

Hogwarts Express.

Once on the train, finding a place to sit might be a pain depending on how long it takes for you to find it, but why not make a few new friends and maybe try to find out just what's going on? Meanwhile there is a trolley going around for anyone who wants a snack.

Prompt D;  Boats.... Why did it have to be boats? And didn't you refuse to put on those robes that you were required to buy? Why has your clothing disappeared in substitution for these robes? Just don't rock the boat. Pretty sure the others riding with you won't be happy if you tip it over. At least land seems to be coming closer along with a giant castle.

Prompt E; After being sorted into your houses and sitting at your respective tables, you'll be given more freedom to move about and talk than you have been this entire time. Use that time to figure out if anyone else was in the same predicament as you are. Surely you can't be the only one confused. And this large spread of food that never seems to run out is a bit too tempting to decline.

Or maybe you've already returned to your new dorm common rooms? Take your pick.

[C] Mayu went along with all this foreign hocus pocus. None of this made sense, but it was easier to go with the flow. Thinking of a logical explanation would require too much mental strain. He blankly followed others who seemed knowledgeable about magic. Having to run through an illusary wall to get to platform 9 3/4 was tiring.

Upon entering the train, Mayu stowed his supplies and found a seat. He didn't bother with any greetings. He didn't particularly care if compartments were empty, as long there was room to sit. He had no trouble falling asleep. He needed to conserve his energy.

[D] The kid that slept through most of the train ride, also fell asleep in the boat.

Elizabeth was sitting politely n the train, making sure she had the correct manners any lady would, although from what she had been before she had to question a lot about the ladies going to the school. She questioned even more why there was someone taking a nap like they were. leaning forward she was making sure that she could be heard.

"Excuse me? Don't you think it's a little impolite to just fall asleep like that?"

Mayu saw no problem with taking a nap. Sleeping on a train was perfectly normal, as far as he was concerned. At least he wasn't actually sleeping on top of anyone.

He slowly opened his eyes and gave Elizabeth a flat look. He stared for a while before giving a slight shrug of his shoulders. He didn't want to actually argue against the girl. He wanted to go back to sleep, but the girl might still want to talk to him.

Lizzie puffed her cheeks up slightly. She was thinking that maybe he was ignoring her or something and that in her mind was probably the most rudest thing to do to a lady.

So instead of leaving it and letting it past she spoke up once again, a clear annoyed tone in her voice.

"It would be polite to at least answer me."

Mayu's eyes widened a little bit in confusion. He did answer her. He thought the subtle gesture properly conveyed his lack of understanding. He didn't like to speak if it was avoidable.

"Sorry," he said softly. It was easier than pointing out that she wasn't being ignored.

She continued to keep her cheeks puffed up, seriously does this guy not know how to keep up a conversation, or what. It was getting quite annoying really. But as she gave out a sigh, she knew a lady shouldn't react with anger and she had to at least try and be a lady.

"You don't need to apologize, you just need to learn how to have a proper conversation and manners."

He didn't understand the point of keeping up a conversation. It was mostly a waste of energy. Especially, when there wasn't much to say. If only his brother were around to speak for him.

"How?" he asked.

Social niceties were hard.

"How... Did your parents never teach you?"

This was rather strange, she probably would never understand him at all, but she was always more than willing to do things, to teach him what was appropriate. Even if the other might not want it for one reason or another, she wasn't going to take no for an answer.

His parents might have tried to teach him, before giving up. Then again, his parents were not the most conventional. They encouraged individuality.His father was loud and open with his emotions in a society that valued stoicism. His brother was a shoujo manga artist, who excelled at stereotypically feminine activities. Also, denseness ran in the family.

Mayu hesitated before answering. It took a while to think of appropriate words.

"Different culture"

Usagi wished she could sleep on a boat like that, mostly because of the fact there was nothing to lean on to sleep. It was rather impressive if she had to admit to it. Maybe she should wake the other up and make sure they don't fall into the water.But fi she tried she might still put him in the water.

It was worth the risk... Maybe. "Hello, are you okay? I know sleep is good for people and I wish I could sleep more, but I don't think that is the best idea."

Mayu opened his eyes and kept his position. He nodded at Usagi when she pointed out that sleep was good for people. It also answered her question. He was okay.

"Balanced"

He could tell she was worried about the possibility of him falling in the water, which would be a major inconvenience. He was very precise in his positioning.

"Balanced? I guess you are, but how can you when asleep?" That was what she was most curious about. If she knew how she would sleep just about anywhere and maybe people wouldn't notice, maybe.

Not that she had any plans to do such things, but she was thinking about it as the boat rocked gently.

He had to ponder that question. Part of it was a natural talent of his. Part of it involved careful planning. He put a lot of thought into being lazy. Sometimes, he would work at something if it meant saving effort in the long run.

"Practice"

He trained himself to fall asleep anywhere.

"Ooooh, I should have known." but where could she actually practice, that was something she didn't know just yet. But she knew she might try while she was in this school. Although it made her wonder if there will be classes or something and if so...what kind of classes.

"Question, do you think you have any idea of what classes they might teach here? Because until a few days ago, I hadn't a clue this school existed and know nothing about it." Then again she didn't even know she was in England... She is still confused about how that happened.

Mayu nodded.Mayu's level of laziness was beyond Usagi's. He was able to guess the classes from the school supplies list, though most of the subjects were not familiar at all. It was weird being in a foreign, magical school. He also thought it was a waste of time to take a train from England to Scotland. Wouldn't magic allow for more efficient methods of transportation?

"Me too," Mayu responded with a shrug.

Usagi didn't get much of anything really. She had saved the world again at least and managed to bring everyone back to life. She thought she was going to be happy with her boyfriend and her friends, living the life of school and maybe someday in the future being a bride and having a child. But sadly, she knew that wouldn't be for a while now.

Though that didn't bring answers to why she found herself in this country and not where she was last. It was still rather confusing. "I wonder how things work here though...How did they find out we had magic or whatever? I would want to know, but yet I'm not sure if I could."

Mayu never had to deal with anything supernatural. He was simply a middle school judo club Captain, with an art blog under a female alias. He wasn't looking forward to the lack of internet access.

"Magic."

Mayu shrugged again.

"We'll see," he said, in reference to wondering how things worked.

Seth didn't mind that the boy had fallen asleep in the magical boat but it had reached the other shore and they were now directed up and into the castle. He had only seen a sight like that in dreams and he felt a little sad the boy had missed it.

Yet, Seth didn't want to wake someone from sleeping.

He gently placed a hand on Mayu's shoulder shaking him slightly, hoping to rouse him from his slumber.

"We are here."

Mayu might have regretted missing the scenery, if he had a decent camera with him. It would have made good reference material for his brother's manga. Unfortunately, his phone had no signal, or battery power.

Mayu opened his eyes. The shaking of his shoulders worked. He looked around with minimal movement. He would be ready to exit once everyone else started to get off.

"Thanks."

He retracts his hand looking up at the castle. Over half of the students have begun climbing up towards the castle's doors. It seems silly that they have to walk so far but at least they don't have their supplies with them.

Seth shrugs and then waits just on the shore for Mayu.

"Let's go then."

He's used to not letting people go alone while keeping his presence unintrusive.

Mayu exits the boat and starts to follow at a leisurely pace. He stops when he looks up, entranced at the magnificent sight. He isn't used to seeing Western castles. It reminds him of fantasy settings in shoujo manga.

Once he snaps out of the trance, he nods to the other boy. He's athletic enough not to stay too far behind.

Seth didn't seem like he was much in a rush either. Though instead of looking at the beautiful castle nestled perfectly against the night sky he was watching the young students slowly making their way towards the castle. He watched their eyes widen in wonder as they walked into a dream.

His gaze then shifted to Mayu watching the boy as they tailed the group walking towards the castle.

Mayu was just as impressed as the younger students, though he was a bit more subtle about expressing it.The starry sky illusion was particularly lovely. He silently followed along.

He was still half convinced that this all was a dream, despite all the time he spent sleeping. He was used to being an ordinary middle school student in Japan. A magical school in the UK was a completely different experience. It was obvious that those in charge went all out with this introduction to Hogwarts.

Seth was used to these sorts of things because he saw them in dreams. It was interesting seeing the building after walking through others views of the same building. As if everything was put into prospective with this single view.

He tailed behind as they stopped towards the front of the building and where then ushered inside.

Seth hummed softly as if watching the scenery for the first time.

Mayu continued to follow along, also close to the back. While other students were gasping, and displaying their wonder, he remained silent. He figured someone else would ask any important question.

If only there was a more efficient route to the Great Hall for this sorting business.
