8th | Silent rage
Near the gates to Hogsmeade
[There had been no warning. One moment he had been strolling around as a Fennec Fox to relax and the next he was lying on the ground, back as a human being. The shock of the sudden transformation made Shiraishi panic, but he was given enough time to recover and get back to his feet by whoever cast the spell on him. Not that he needed to guess who it was. Shiraishi took his wand out and pointed it straight at the man behind him, yelling 'Everte Statum'. Unfortunately, it was dodged and Shiraishi was met with a Jelly-Legs curse in return.]
That's a pretty childish spell, dad...
Only fitting to be used on a child like you. [The man was, indeed, Akihiko Shiraishi, the current head of the Shiraishi family that Kura was meant to inherit.] I'm tired of your games. It's time you grew up and took responsibility.
And I'm tired of you not listening to me, when I'm saying I don't-
Do not speak back to me, Kuranosuke.
[Shiraishi gritted his teeth. This was how it always went. His father never listened. Never in his life. Why must he be like this?]
Everte Statum!
[Shiraishi recast the spell he used before and this time succesfully hit his father and sent him flying backwards. Then he quickly used a counter spell on his legs and started to make a run for it but before he could, he was hit by spell in return. It was once again directed at his legs but this time it was meant to break them, causing Shiraishi to yelp in pain and fall back to the ground.]
Expelliarmus. [Any chance of a counter-attack went away with his wand. There was clear silent rage in the expression of Akihiko.] If you would just obey, I wouldn't need to be like this.
... if you'd just listen--
Silencio. That's better. It will make this trip a lot more doable.
[The only reply Shiraishi was able to come up with was an icy glare, which quickly turned into pained sorrow. The whole situation felt hopeless.]
Hospital Wing
[As luck would have it, Shiraishi's father was stopped from taking his son away. Unfortunately there was no quick way of repairing his legs so he was forced to stay in the hospital wing. Which was fine with him, since at least he was still at Hogwarts. Miserable, but still there.]
(ooc: after this event things will start looking better for him, I promise.)

[ Adela sighs hard again, shaking her head and lowering her gaze to the floor. ]
I'm still wondering what kind of reasoning someone could give to themselves to make it all right to curse their own child. It's just wrong, regardless the reason.

[He also comments that he hasn't even been a member of the team for that long, but that's not relevant.]
Well, at least this cures quite fast and was rather obvious... it's my cousin who got it worse. Though it seems he's getting back on his feet.
[Shiraishi shakes his head.]
My dad and his aren't even brothers and they're still annoyingly similar.

... Wait, you don't mean Sousuke?
[ Well that's definitely news to her. There's really only one person whose situation is even remotely similar to what she's heard about with what happened to Shiraishi. ]

[Honestly, Shiraishi was surprised Sousuke even visited the Hospital Wing (handwavedly cause same mun) after this ordeal. But that's how he heard about the whole curse thing.]

I guess I got lucky -- even if dad doesn't always understand wizarding stuff, he's always been supportive of me and what I want to do -- least, so long as it wasn't illegal and I was willing to put the effort in. Same with mum. It was the one thing they could always agree on.
Maybe that's why I can't see it, I've never had to deal with that kind of rubbish before.

It's not something that's common, which I'm glad about. Usually people have relatively normal families from what I've heard.

[ She'll finally get up and wave, offering a weak smile for him. She's still worried, wondering what she can do, but at least in the hospital wing he should be all right. ]
