Near the gates to Hogsmeade

[There had been no warning. One moment he had been strolling around as a Fennec Fox to relax and the next he was lying on the ground, back as a human being. The shock of the sudden transformation made Shiraishi panic, but he was given enough time to recover and get back to his feet by whoever cast the spell on him. Not that he needed to guess who it was. Shiraishi took his wand out and pointed it straight at the man behind him, yelling 'Everte Statum'. Unfortunately, it was dodged and Shiraishi was met with a Jelly-Legs curse in return.]

That's a pretty childish spell, dad...

Only fitting to be used on a child like you. [The man was, indeed, Akihiko Shiraishi, the current head of the Shiraishi family that Kura was meant to inherit.] I'm tired of your games. It's time you grew up and took responsibility.

And I'm tired of you not listening to me, when I'm saying I don't-

Do not speak back to me, Kuranosuke.

[Shiraishi gritted his teeth. This was how it always went. His father never listened. Never in his life. Why must he be like this?]

Everte Statum!

[Shiraishi recast the spell he used before and this time succesfully hit his father and sent him flying backwards. Then he quickly used a counter spell on his legs and started to make a run for it but before he could, he was hit by spell in return. It was once again directed at his legs but this time it was meant to break them, causing Shiraishi to yelp in pain and fall back to the ground.]

Expelliarmus. [Any chance of a counter-attack went away with his wand. There was clear silent rage in the expression of Akihiko.] If you would just obey, I wouldn't need to be like this.

... if you'd just listen--

Silencio. That's better. It will make this trip a lot more doable.

[The only reply Shiraishi was able to come up with was an icy glare, which quickly turned into pained sorrow. The whole situation felt hopeless.]

Hospital Wing

[As luck would have it, Shiraishi's father was stopped from taking his son away. Unfortunately there was no quick way of repairing his legs so he was forced to stay in the hospital wing. Which was fine with him, since at least he was still at Hogwarts. Miserable, but still there.]




(ooc: after this event things will start looking better for him, I promise.)

[The look on Akihiko's face is cold when he looks at the woman who disarmed him. The expression Kuranosuke wears is one of relief, confusion and pain and he would likely say something if he could.]

This is something between me and my son. He has disobeyed me for too long and now he's facing the consequences.

That might be so, but using magic on a student is not right. While he is at the school I as a professor must take care of him, including thier own family if they are doing it by horrible means.

[By which she means if you try anything she will get in the way again.]

Horrible? I see nothing horrible in a little discipline. It's not like I did anything irreversible.

[It seems sympathy and empathy are unknown for this man.]

But I would rather not fight with you so I will have to simply come again on another time.

This discipline is a little over the top. More so when it's not at home it's at school where the school gives discipline, not the parents.

[She crossed her arms over her chest wand still firmly in her hand for the time being.]

I very much doubt you'll be allowed to come back.

You can't protect him forever.

[That's all he has to say in that as he takes the wand he lost earlier and starts to walk away from the gates, to get far enough to actually apparate away.


Shiraishi on the other hand looks relieved that he left but... also rather miserable. Since he knows his dad would be persistent.]

[Daphne sighed slightly. She has plans to just keep having to protect. It was something she was use to both back at work and at home, now here as well. It was just natural.]

Let's get to the hospital wing.

[She goes to see if he needs help up at least.]

Also...if you ever want to talk to him again we can make arrangements so there is always a professor with you.

[Shiraishi first needs to signal he can't talk thanks to the silencing charm, but once that's out of the way.]

Thank you, professor... unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to walk by myself.

[He eyes at his legs which are very painful. No wonder if your bones were broken.]

I'll have to see... what solution I can come up with.

Then it's my job to help.

[She makes sure to help him, by letting him use her if needs be. After all she was pretty sure she couldn't carry him like others would be able to.]

I'm sure whatever you can come up with doesn't end like this.

... yeah. I guess the easiest would be just shut up and obey. That would leave everyone else involved alone too.

But answer me this, is that what you want? Because I feel like it isn't.

It's definitely not. I don't want to become the head of the family... but he won't listen.

So he is the type that would rather make a child miserable than make them happy? That's actually a really awful parent if that is the case. I mean there are ways to avoid that issue, but I think you'd be considered too old for the idea, however when your 18 your an adult, you can do what you like you matter what others say, even your own parents. If you have something that makes you happy, do that no matter what.

Unfortunately, the legal age is different in Japan... I'm not free from him haunting me age-wise until I'm twenty.

I feel like my only option is to get disowned somehow.

That would be called emancipation. Where you can actually go to court and if you win are legally free from your parents and considered an adult. However it means you would need to be able to support yourself financially before you can do that.
