Two dorks going on a first date. Closed to Namine

[He did say they would go on a date and wile he had managed to decide what is going to go on, he was still rather nervous to say the least. Well on the bright side it's not like they were going to do anything they shouldn't, but still... a first date was still a big thing.

Leaving the Slytherin dorms after saying bye to Hikaru, he had started to make his way to the stairs to go up to the basement area. He had told her to wait for him close to the stairs to go to the main floor and he hoped that she was there right now.]

[Namine nods, her lips tugging into a smile.]

Maybe you can take me to try it one day.

[She wants to travel and see the art all over the world. She wouldn't mind cake in the process of that.]

[A firm smile is still placed upon his lips.]

Maybe I will. Over the summer, maybe.

That sounds like fun.

[She'd look forward to that though that idea of spending the summer with Kaoru makes her flush brightly. She's now thankful for the dim lighting.

As they spoke the waitress brings a cart over with tea and cake placed on the surface. She slowly places the food and tea in front of each of them before excusing herself. Namine looks down at the tea with a warm smile, it smells amazing.]

[Kaoru had already picked up the fork in order to eat the cake, taking a bite and taking a bite.]

It's not bad. Not great, but good.

[Namine brings the steaming cup of tea to her mouth, her lips curling in a warm smile as the heat fills her nose. She looks up at Kaoru before taking a small tentative sip of the murky liquid.]

The tea is wonderful.

[She hasn't tried her cake yet but it looks adorable.]

[He had taken a sip of the tea, letting the flavours linger on the tongue for a moment.]

Try the cake and see if you like it. Or have both together sometimes it makes it taste better.

[Namine nods her head and lifts her fork. She takes a small corner of the cake, watching as the spongy mass contract and expand under the force of her utensil. She lips the piece to her lips with a smile before taking a bite of the sugar confection.

It's good though it is very sweet. After the first bite she takes another, this one is then followed with a small sip of tea. The texture is a little strange but it isn't bad.]

I think I like the combination.

[Taking another bite he moved to take a sip of the drink. Trying to enjoy it would be easier if it weren't for the smell that was in the air.]

Well... I like them both.

[She laughs nervously.]

It's hard to saw which I like better with one bite.

[he nodded slightly, he'll leave it at that for that conversation at least, but now it left him with soemthing else. What to talk about next. It was much easier to talk to his brother than anyone else because he knew what his brother liked. He assumed they could talk about art, maybe? That would do.]

So..How is your drawings going?

[Art is a good place to start.]

I'm trying a lot of new things. I want to see if it can lead me into a career. I'd like to travel too and maybe see what I can find.

[She lifts her tea to her lips.]

Are you going to go into fashion like your family?

Ah, my family doesn't all do fashion. Just my mother. My grandmother...did something with enchanting plants and the like, which is why I do well in herbology.

Not sure what my father does.

[he forgets he is ever there sometimes, if he had to be honest.]

But...I might, but I have options.

What do you like best then?

[She hadn't known about his grandmother and the thought of Kaoru working with plants makes her smile.]

Since pranking people won't count as a career, unless I work in a joke shop or something, I guess what my mother does.

[Though working at a joke shop was tempting sometimes, but he was use to a certain life style.]

I really like the design of yours I’ve seen.

[She remarks with a bright smile, her fork piercing her cake and taking another bite. She eats the sweet slowly, savoring every piece of it.]

You mean that one I still haven't managed to finish?

[He was good at the drawing portion, but not the actual making part of it just yet.]

[Namine laughs softly.]

Yes. I didn’t know if you were still making it or not.

[She’d been too nervous to ask.]

I'll probably focus on it more after exams and school is done.

[Because he knows he should be studying soon either way.]

Those are coming up, so that is super fun.

[Namine nods.]

I'm a little worried.

[She places her fork down, her cake now gone and sips calmly at her tea.]

What are you worried about?

[He knew he wasn't too worried at least because he knew no matter what he'll end up still doing well in the status he was born into.]

Tests.

[She replies over the crest of her tea up, her baby blue eyes staring at him with the hint of a nervous smile.]

I need to do well.

Is it because you need good grades to do the job you want in the future?

[He wasn't exactly being serious in the matter since he was pretty sure for what she wanted to do, it wasn't such a big deal to do well.]

Yes.

[Not that she has bad grades but she needs Exceeds Expectation in more than she thought. She wonders how each year does as a whole and if she has a chance compared to others. She isn’t dumb and she’s good at memorizing things but she isn’t the best at taking tests. Naminé prefers writing paper over tests.]

Well, that’s part of it. I know my grandmother wants me to do well.

I guess that makes sense.

[He didn't have as much pressure on him as many other people did, do he knew when to relax at least.]

I guess I'm not use to know people who have pressure on them to do well.

Really?

[Namine looks up at him with a quizzical expression.]
