Two dorks going on a first date. Closed to Namine

[He did say they would go on a date and wile he had managed to decide what is going to go on, he was still rather nervous to say the least. Well on the bright side it's not like they were going to do anything they shouldn't, but still... a first date was still a big thing.

Leaving the Slytherin dorms after saying bye to Hikaru, he had started to make his way to the stairs to go up to the basement area. He had told her to wait for him close to the stairs to go to the main floor and he hoped that she was there right now.]

[Namine is there early and waiting when Kaoru steps up. It helps that their commons rooms are so close together. She's wearing a white dress and doesn't have her sketchbook with her. Since they are going into town she assumed normal clothes would be alright and she hopes she looks okay.]

Hi Kaoru.

[She smiles, feeling butterflies flutter in her stomach.]

[He waved slightly, making his way over.]

Hi, shall we get going. Though sorry I don't have anything to give right now. Seems like the owl is slower than normal.

[He was sure this meant the owl will pass on soon or something because he was slowly getting worse and worse. never the less he holds out his hand for the other to take.]

Take my hand.

It's fine. Which owl?

[She isn't expecting anything from him.]

Ah... yes.

[Namine takes Kaoru's hand, her cheeks glowing like a fire.]

Where would you like to go?

Our families owl.

[He started to walk, he didn't say anything for at least a minute or so before speaking up again.]

I'm not saying where yet, I already have it planned after all.

[Namine glances over at Kaoru feeling a little unsure.]

Oh...

[She doesn't ask anything more but walks at his side.]

What was the owl to bring?

It's a surprise.

[He smiled slightly, he feels like the owl will get here eventually, he just hopes it's today at least. As they walked up the stairs towards the entrance, he was trying to think about what to say next.]

So... Is there a favourite spot you have at Hogsmeade.

I like seeing the shops or finding a nice place to sit.

[She wouldn't say she has a favorite stop.]

What about you?

[Namine assumes it's the joke shop.]

The joke shop and the Shrieking Shack.

[Both were fun of course.]

But I did book us a table to Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop.

[Namine feels her cheeks flush.]

Oh? I've never been in there.

[She just knows that people go their to kiss.]

We can go to the joke shop though. It's a fun place. [She likes it though she doesn't ever buy anything. She isn't a very skilled jokester.]

Nor have I really, so we'll see what it's like.

[he laughed slightly, it was going to be so weird going in there.]

If we do that we'll go to your favourite spot to, so we each go somewhere we like.

[Namine smiles at Kaoru.]

Can we stop by the art store and then go to the shrieking shack? [It's one of the few buildings she likes to draw.]

If that's alright.

That's fine. But to the first place I mentioned first.

[He knew they were pretty much close to the town now and was happy to walk next to her. When he could see the building they were going to, he walked on over and held the door open.]

After you.

[Namine nods her head and follows at Kaoru's side. Her lips are fixed in a shy smile as he holds the door open. She steps inside and looks around before waiting for Kaoru to follow her.

She isn't sure where to go.]

[he walked in, trying his hardest not to even chuckle because seriously? This is what it was like on the inside. Seemed a little too cheesy.

He made his way over to the table, holding out the chair for her.]

[Namine follows and then takes a seat. She can't help the slightly flustered hue that colors her cheeks or stop her eyes from flicking around the overly perfumed store. This place really is something else and no one seems to care that others are around because the pair next to them are definitely kissing.]

This is... interesting.

[She smiles at Kaoru, trying to steady the frantic rhythm of her heart.]

[He moved to sit in the seat opposite, leaning on the table slightly.]

It is. Bit too much if I have to be honest.

[He looked at her before looking over to the others who were around. So much kissing he could tell.]

Do you know what you'll have yet? You can have anything.

There is a rose tea featured. I think I'll try that.

[She agrees that it's a little too much. Namine preferred more subtle things.]

Rose tea has a very nice flavour and leaves a nice after taste too, so that was a rather good choice.

[If there was one thing Kaoru was good at, it was tea at least. That and playing pranks and jokes. Those had always been fun.]

I might go for the same and a slice of cake, but there are so many choices.

[Namine smiles at him before looking over at the cakes. She'd been so careful about her tea selection she hasn't really put a lot of thought into it. She loves tasting new foods though she doesn't want to cake to over power the taste of her tea.]

You don't have a favorite flavor?

Not in cake, no.

[he had a favourite food, but no one really needed to know what it was exactly. besides he was use to all kinds of cake.]

Sometimes chocolate is just the best to go for.

[Namine nods.]

With a rose tea I might just get vanilla cake. I think they'll go well together.

A plain cake, would make the tea stand out. I'm just hungry for a delicious cake rather than mixing the right combination.

[He smiled as the waitress had come on over and Kaoru ordered.]

[With the ordered place Namine relaxes some. It's still a heavily perfumed room and it isn't the sort of place for wandering eyes. She ends up watching Kaoru, her gaze tracing the curve of his cheek as if to memorize it.]

I don't think you'll be disappointed.

[Judging from the cakes here.]

We'll see.

[He had certain tastes after all. His eyes were trailing over each and every decoration. He was pretty sure he wouldn't come back here after this date, mostly because of the ridiculously overwhelming smell got to him.]

I once had a really nice cake when I was in France, but I don't know what cake it was.

Do you know what was on it or could you describe the taste?

[Her tone is soft but curious. Namine agrees that she doesn’t really want to come back to this place. It’s a little odd in its own way.]
