You're a wizard, __! [OPEN LOG]

It doesn't matter what you were doing before you wake up here, how you managed to get here at all, or where you arrived at. All that mattered now was that you're suddenly in a new location and people are so insistent that you're a wizard. Whether or not that sinks in just yet, you may as well go through the motions and humor whomever -- or whatever -- brought you here.

Here are a few prompts to get you started, but there's no requirement to use any of the given prompts. If you feel that you would like to use something besides the prompts that are given, you're more than welcome to do so.

Also, there's this nifty little post to introduce who you are to the others out of character, so don't forget to check it out!

Prompts

Prompt A; Okay so maybe being dropped off in a bustling street in front of some old, broken down looking building isn't the best way to start your day, but inside there seems to be a number of curious customers. Given the state of the building, this place seems pretty busy otherwise. The Leaky Cauldron huh...? Guess there's no time to ponder where that is, because the man behind the bar seems particularly interested in you. Soon enough, he's leading you to a location. Great, maybe some answers... until you come to a brick wall...

Great. What are you supposed to do at a brick wall? Surprise! After a few taps on the bricks, there's suddenly a pathway opening up and then... another street? What's going on?

Prompt B; Well now that you've been taken to a place called "Diagon Alley", you seem to be left there by the man who was supposedly going to help you out. If you're lucky enough, a tall man with a bushy beard might happen to come to the rescue. All this talk about being a witch/wizard.... Are these people out of their minds? Clearly they don't think they are, because he'll happily help you find your school supplies and books.

Or maybe you decided to wonder around by yourself and check out the shops after figuring things out from the other people on the street going through the same process. Just be careful not to carelessly use up all of the money that's saved in your vaults in Gringotts though.

Prompt C; Nine and Three Quarters..... Supposedly you need to get to Platform Nine and Three Quarters, but everyone is telling you that it doesn't exist. How can it not exist when so many people were looking for it? Have people been playing with you for a fool? Well, that seems to be the case until you notice people running into a.... Were they running into a brick wall? That's completely stupid but yet... they disappeared? Apparently you must be stupid for trying it, but somehow or another it works out and... There's more people with trunks and supplies like you have. More importantly as a train that wasn't there before.

Hogwarts Express.

Once on the train, finding a place to sit might be a pain depending on how long it takes for you to find it, but why not make a few new friends and maybe try to find out just what's going on? Meanwhile there is a trolley going around for anyone who wants a snack.

Prompt D;  Boats.... Why did it have to be boats? And didn't you refuse to put on those robes that you were required to buy? Why has your clothing disappeared in substitution for these robes? Just don't rock the boat. Pretty sure the others riding with you won't be happy if you tip it over. At least land seems to be coming closer along with a giant castle.

Prompt E; After being sorted into your houses and sitting at your respective tables, you'll be given more freedom to move about and talk than you have been this entire time. Use that time to figure out if anyone else was in the same predicament as you are. Surely you can't be the only one confused. And this large spread of food that never seems to run out is a bit too tempting to decline.

Or maybe you've already returned to your new dorm common rooms? Take your pick.

[ He can hardly believe his eyes as he walks the shops. Everyone looked so... so strange. Like half of them had come out of a different time all together, and the other half kids his age racing between shops excitedly.

Where in the hell was he now?

His agitation grows little by little, but his interest picks up faster. Especially as he walks in to the book shop and he can't help but watch as pixies in a cage are chittering. The geeky side of Gokudera leaps up, the pixies snagging his attention so thoroughly, that he practically bumps into people on his excited way to stare into their cage. ]

IT'S A U.M.A!!

[ After having found out just what the hell to do, his cart in front of him filled with new books and a wardrobe he didn't know exactly what half of meant, he was finally on the train. Trains weren't an abnormal thing for Gokudera, being that trains ran all over both Italy and Japan. But this one was filled with people who either knew equal amounts of nothing like himself, or people who he could listen to and observe for information.

Or people that could piss him off. Largely, he kept to himself, though. A surprise even to Gokudera. ]

[ That damn hat had messed up his hair! And creeped him the hell out, to be perfectly honest. Not that being floated into a mountainside school by boats that pulled themselves wasn't freakish in itself. Or that ceiling in the Great Hall mirroring the outside sky perfectly. Or the floating candles and ghosts roaming the room.

Gokudera didn't know what to make of any of that. But apparently he was now in house Gryffindor.

He gave them a surly glower, but walked off to join his house anyway. People touching and cheering for him, because now apparently he was accepted into some new family. Well. They wouldn't replace the Vongola! Definitely no one could replace them, and none of them were Jyuudaime. Or that idiot, Yamamoto. ]

[ That night when everyone was asleep, Gokudera found himself unable to get comfortable. He couldn't sleep. Couldn't fathom why he was here and not home with people he actually knew. It was damn interesting being here, but already he missed what he had.

And that was why Gokudera snuck out from behind the portrait of The Fat Lady, careful to remember his way back to the Gryffindor housing. ]

[The journey to and from the food trolley had taken far longer than Roxas had anticipated, but he'd finally made it back to his compartment. He slid into his spot where his friends were talking quietly, not wanting to disturb the newcomer. Roxas distributed his goodies before taking a breath and looked over at Gokudera.]

Did you want one?

[He was offering a chocolate frog.]

[ Gokudera may look like he's not paying attention, nose buried in one of the books he'd bought in Diagon Alley about the history of the Wizarding world. But he was paying attention. It was easy with small compartments and somewhat interesting conversation about things he knew nothing about.

When someone actually talks to him, he looks up to the frog in the other teen's hand and... ]

What is that?

[ Normally he's in so much worse of a mood, but he's in a new place with a new set of rules and he's way too curious. His nerd brain wants to absorb everything. ]

It's a chocolate frog.

[He pauses, considering.]

It's not an actual frog, but it's pretty good, plus there's a collectable wizard card that comes with it. That's why most people eat them.

[lifestupid]

[ after a moment of silent hesitation, the look in Gokudera's eyes unsure of whether he should be taking something from a stranger or not, he finally reaches for the chocolate frog. He doesn't open it immediately, instead looking at the intricate packaging. ]

Thanks... [ Don't be mistaken, that T-word was hard to say and comes out kind of awkward. ] Stuff like this is normal?

Yeah, of course it is.

I mean, it's not actually a frog, if that's what you're wondering.

[ Huh. Gokudera peels the package open curiously, and checks out the frog. At first it doesn't move and it has him wondering why the hell a frog of all things. Then, it springs to life and makes him jump, and soon enough the thing is clinging to his face, little froggy feet melting against his skin. ]

Ack! Wh--

[ He grabs it and it goes limp in his hand, the enchantment gone now and chocolate melting. ]

What the hell?! How is that normal!?

[You know who else isn't that excited about all of this? Ciel; Who just happened to be sitting next to you when you sat down, but didn't seem to pay him much mind.]

Ridiculous.... I don't have time for some magic school... [Not meant to be said out loud, but there it was.]

[ Oh, he did not like that high and mighty attitude. Go stuff a sock in it, pipsqueak. ]

Tch. And you think the rest of us do?

I'm the Earl of Phantomhive. I have a household to run and something much more pressing than this.

You're what, nine? I don't believe you.

I'm 13. Regardless of age, that has no standing in who I am and it doesn't affect the way I run things.

I am still the head of the Phantomhive name. Maybe you shouldn't be so quick to judge someone by something as trivial as age?

Buddy, where I come from a toddler is my boss' tutor. I don't give a damn what your age is, I find it hard to believe you're the one doing anything.

[Hikaru's stomach finally stops hurting though it's made sleep all but impossible. She's sitting in the dark common area sipping a cup of water when she hears the other Gryffindor sneak out of the dorms.

Breaking rules on the first day?

That doesn't seem like a good plan but Hikaru is willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and just follow him. She caught sight of him just outside the painting and runs after him with an excited smile.]

Hey! [A hand claps over her lips as she begins to whisper. The paintings around them hadn't stopped snoring so it was a safe assumption no one woke up.] You aren't suppose to wander around after dark.

[Even as she warns him Hikaru is continuing to follow the boy into the dark halls.]

[ Shit. That's the last thing he wants or needs, some nosy girl following him. Instantly, Gokudera's annoyed and whirls around on her. ]

Then go back to the dorm and leave me the hell alone.

Nope.

[She walks next to him with an easy smile.]

I'm not going to leave you alone.

[Hikaru pauses.]

Where are you headed anyway?

[lifestupid]

[ Yep. He's definitely more annoyed now than he had been a moment ago. Why the hell would anyone follow him, anyway? It wasn't like he wrote "bother me" and stuck it to his own back or forehead or anything. ]

None of your damn business! [ His arms fold in front of himself, glare full on her. ] Why's where I'm going important anyway?

[strength_of_heart]

[Leaving the common room in the middle of the night seems like a good reason to bother someone. Though Hikaru is just curious and she doesn't want him to get in trouble.]

It's important because you're important. [She states as if it's a matter of fact.]

[ Boy does that bring up the past... For a moment Gokudera just stares at her, the harsh glare slipping to something softer as he remembers when Tsuna said something similar to him. It felt like years ago, that it has him actually shocked now.

He shifts awkwardly, and a soft 'tch' escapes his lips. Then, finally: ]

I don't know where I'm going.

[Kaoru knew he needed to get new books for the new year ahead and he looked along the bookshelves for them, until of course he couldn't help but heard someone say something and go over towards the pixies. Kaoru just couldn't help but give the guy a look.]

Um, they are a whatnow?

[He had overheard him say something, but he hadn't a clue what it was.]

I think you are mistaken.

An Unidentified Mystery Animal!

[ Gokudera was excited by the pixies, bending down to eye level so he could see them in the cage at lot easier. They chittered and made noises at him, but at least he wasn't stupid enough to stick his finger into the cage. ]

They're like the wonders of the world... like Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster.

[devilishkaoru]

They are called pixies, any idiot would know that.

[Is he implying someone is an idiot. Most likely, but never the less Kaoru picked up a book, looking at it before holding it to his chest. It was one he was going to need for school.]

But you know...Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster are real, even though people say they're not.

[lifestupid]

[ For a moment Kaoru has Gokudera's feathers ruffled... He's not an idiot!!! But... but then he says Bigfoot and The Loch Ness Monster are real and he really can't help switching off his temper in lieu of his fanboy. ]

Yes they are!! No one back home believes it but I know! It's so nice to meet someone else that knows!

[He is kind of glad he can not smirk, smile or even chuckle as he speaks. This guy really did believe in those types of things and he had to admit, it was kind of hilarious. But he'll keep playing along.]

It's a secret people keep covered so Muggles or non magic folk don't get scared. But since you are a magical type, I think it's okay for you to know the truth.

[ If Gokudera catches any kind of wind that Kaoru is making fun of him, all hell is going to break loose. But for now, he smiles proudly. ]

I've known the truth my whole life and wrote papers on it back home. This stuff is fascinating!

[ That no one ever saw because he was too much of a geek and too prideful of his image. But what the hell. No one knew him here and the place even had a pixie! Why not? ]
