12th Bite is a FAIL of epic proportions
Morning, Slytherin Dormitory
[That Sunday Rin wakes up with a snotty nose and a skull-splitting headache and groans. He supposes after what happened last night he should have expected it, but that doesn't make it any less annoying. He'd been thrashing around all night, but only managed to fall into a light slumber in the wee morning hours dreaming weird dreams of frozen cucumbers, and being convicted at court with his pants down. If he was feverish, that explained those at least.
He dreads the Great Hall. He left Ravenclaw tower in a hurry and has no idea how things progressed from there. Maybe Gareki managed to convince everyone they saw a ghost, but somehow, Rin doubts it. He should just say he's sick and not go to breakfast, he's not hungry anyway. But that would be admitting he's sick, which would cause Sousuke go into full blown mother hen mode, which Rin can't stand. And he's worried about Gareki. He feels sorry for leaving his boyfriend to weather the storm, and he needs to know he's okay and just how much trouble Rin's idiocy has gotten them into. He should man up and brave the giant. Although he's pretty sure by now all of the castle knows.
Rin groans again.]
Breakfast, Great Hall
[Saying bravely he'll face the giant and bravely doing it are however two different things. Rin sits at the Slytherin table, convinced his head is about to explode. The food in front of him keeps turning his stomach, the glare of the morning light from the ceiling is too bright and the chatter is louder and livelier than ever before. Even worse is, that he can hear every single word from the neighbouring Ravenclaw table, every single ONE. They're loud and unrestrained and when Rin had stumbled into the Great Hall several minutes ago, ready to just sit down and not move, not a few of those nosy people looked at him for a brief moment, before continuing to talk louder.
He can feel the stares boring into him, as he sits with his back to them.
He had wanted to find and talk to Gareki, once he'd be safe on his legs again, and wasn't likely to collapse in the middle of the Hall, but now he's not so sure that being anywhere close to the Ravenclaw table is a good idea. It's bad enough it neighbours to Slytherin's already.
Rin groans for the upteenth time that hour, bangs his head against the table and keeps it there. The wood is at least cooler than his hand. Small favors, really.]
Bonus: Infirmary
[He ends up being dragged into the infirmary by the pains he calls his friends and teammates, when he almost collapses from fever that morning. This is also where he spends the complete week, because Madame Pomfrey is relentless. The first few days are spent between half-awake and restless sleep, the rest he's lying in the bed, snotty, grumbling, week and frustrated, waiting for his body temperature to get back to normal. He'll bark and complain a lot during this time, basically, if you brave a visit, expect behavior of a giant baby.]
((ooc: He's referring to this incident from last night, which is NSFW (but so, so hilarious), so read at your own caution, I am jst putting it here to make sense.))
((EDITED! Because Sousuke, Adela and Kise are major pains and Rin almost fainted from fever.))

Infirmary!
Exasperated but smiling, Adela sits at the edge of Rin's bed and looks him over before finally saying something. ]
And you told me off for getting sick? You look terrible.
[ Of course she only means to tease him a little, but she will do him the mercy and leave a certain topic out of the conversation if she can help it. ]

When Adela pokes her head in to visit him, he gives her the look worth of 1000 years of suffering, not a few days and sighs.]
Not my fault. [He mumbles and pouts.] I got kicked out.
[In a sense of the word. It's not like he wanted to flee, he just had to. He turns on his side to be able to look at her better, pulling his blanket up a little. His fever broke last night, finally, but he's still got high temperature and a snotty nose, and is altogether miserable, but hey, at least his head doesn't hurt so much anymore.]

[ She sighs at him, shaking her head before sitting a bit closer. ]
Anything I can get for you, Rin? Tea, food, a book or something?
no subject
A knife to kill myself with?
[It's not like the cold is the only thing he's dealing with. He's pissed off Gareki and Rin is sure he's pretty much dumped.]

[ Adela frowns at him then, reaching to rest a hand on his head and ruffling his hair a bit once she does, if he'll let her. ]
You'll get over this Rin, you and Gareki. Yeah it seems like a huge deal now, but so did the stupid dance in February. Everyone else'll find something new to talk about and obsess over soon enough.

Do me a favor and aim at Oshitari's face, each time you defend.
[He grumbles and sighs, when she ruffles his hair. He lets her, since he's got no strength to fight it yet and the touch still feels soothing. He doesn't tell her that though.]
The dance was hilarious. This is just pathetic.

[ In spite of herself she smiles, pulling back a little to lean on her hand on the bed then. ]
It was hilarious to you, I felt pathetic at the time. Doesn't change the fact that no one talks about it anymore, and this'll be the same. Sure, it stinks now, but it'll eventually go away. Who knows, maybe you'll even laugh at yourself later.
Right now, just worry about resting and getting rid of your fever. You've gotten everyone worried sick over you with that.
