Osaka
[Shiraishi had been very nervous to actually go through his idea of going back to Japan. It wasn't going to be a very long trip, but the risk of meeting his family members was high - and he really wanted to avoid any possible conflict.
To be extra careful, he's mostly hanging out in muggle clothes in the muggle parts of Osaka. He was enjoying some tea and resisted the temptation of adding some flavor to it with spells. Instead he tried using the normal muggle ways (looking quite like a fool if someone was watching). He should have gotten more into muggle world as a kid to learn something as basics as this.
Otherwise, he can be found wandering around or meeting your character in a designated place.]
Game Over?
[One of the main parts of the trip was for Shiraishi to meet with his younger sister, Yukari. The meeting had gone well and they had managed to talk about very many things.
Unfortunately, Yukari had been followed by their older sister Sayaka. She was determined to get their heir back home, so she had called some of the family servants to help her do that. Of course, that amount of well (wizardly) dressed servants was rather eye catching, but she didn't seem to care.]
Kura-nii, this wasn't...
I know, Yukari. This is all Sayaka-neesan's doing.
[Somehow, Sayaka had always been good at figuring out her sibling's movements, so he shouldn't be surprised that this happened. Yet he had taken the risk, with the hope that she wouldn't pull a stupid stunt in the muggle side.]
Let's go home, Kuranosuke.
It doesn't look like I have much of a choice, huh?

Shiraishi residence, if it's okay?
If only Shiraishi's family had half of that understanding... He's heard, of course. The biggest family of Herbologists, Magibotanists, Potion Masters and everything else in magical pharmacology, and the biggest family of healers in Japan ought to be close. Which only translated as that the gossip mill was strong between the two families.
He's currently standing in front of the Shiraishi residence, only the slightest bit nervous (he figures as they best friend of the wayward son, he's allowed to feel like that at least a little), but fully determined to provide support to his best friend. So he knocks on his door and to his greatest surprise, after a few really tense moments, finds himself inside.]
of course
Kenya just had a slightly long wait ahead of him, because Shiraishi was going through his newest lecture in his father's study. After coming home, it was almost the only room he'd visited, aside from his own and the dining room. He wasn't allowed to go very far on his own for obvious reasons - he didn't even has his wand on him. It felt like he was being a prisoner.
... well, he had mostly himself to blame for that, he admitted.
Once his dad was finally done though, Shiraishi returns to his room and Kenya's given a permission to join him there.]
Hey... thanks for coming.

He's roused from is thoughts by a soft voice, and he puts the smile back on his face. He's here to cheer his best friend up, not share the depression. Turning around, he walks to his friend to give him a greeting hug, putting an arm over the slender shoulder.]
Yo! I was thinking of sneaking in, but then I realized we'd have to be really quiet, so I ditched the idea.
[To say that Kenya's definition of the word strongly differed from everyone else's, would be an understatement.]
How are you holding up?
[He asks, expression turning gentler, more genuine, but not too much, to be described as serious, or worried. Just enough to show he cared.]
no subject
Yeah... you and being quiet don't really walk hand in hand.
[It's a small tease, but what would you expect. He's trying his best not to become too depressed.]
As you'd probably expect. I haven't been allowed to do much and I'm getting lectured everyday by my father. So I'm bored out of my mind and of course he doesn't listen to met at all.
no subject
Well, there are still people louder than me.
[He winks, thinking of some of Shiraishi's Hufflepuff housemates. He listens to his friend, sighing. It sounded tough.]
So. I don't suppose you could pull the same stunt again?
[Once again he wishes he'd be a bigger bird, to be able to carry his friend out on his back... Bu he isn't.]
You know... Sometimes I wish peregrine falcons would be bigger.

[It's a soft complaint, but he prefers the noise over the atmosphere in the big old house he was now in.]
If I had my wand, I could most likely break out but it's safely secured in my father's study.
Though if I could complete my animagi training... I could probably use that form to sneak out. [At least he's pretty sure his form is tiny, based on the little changes he had managed to do while training.]
(ooc: I'm thinking Kura is a fennec fox)

You could always buy a new one. Or borrow mine.
[But what Shiraishi says next it as him laughing amusedly.]
Is that a bait? I believe it is!
[But he humors it anyway.]
You do realize you'd still need a wand, right?
[He asks with a grin, teasing Shiraishi, for once feeling like he's smarter than his friend. Besides, it's not like it would be much of a problem. He'd let Shiraishi borrow his, which his friend would return once he's out. Then he' buy a new one.]
Nevermind that though. What did you read about it?
[Because he's sure, Shiraishi has broken out some books already.]
((ooc: It's perfect!))

I was bored over the first weeks of summer vacation, after you left for Japan. I've practiced a little by myself, based on the books.
[It had been a while since he started looking into becoming an animagi.]
If you lend me your wand, I can show you what I've managed to do.
no subject
Here you go. Now let's see if you're better than me at this.
[He walks to the other end of the room, to give his friend the space and watch, leaning himself against the wall.]
Just be careful. It can be quirky.
[He means his wand of course. His hawthorn wand, which is a dick when it comes to precision in a spell. But he knows Shiraishi is a far more talented wizard than Kenya is, so he's not particularly worried.]

[Having a different wand than his own is also a mystery factor, but if he's careful he should be fine.
It takes him a while but once he does get the transformation going, he appears to a very fuzzy (yet kind of tiny) beige tail and some fur here and there. He also loses some of his height, but not by much, yet.]
It's not much... but it's something?
no subject
[There's an impressed grin on Kenya's face, when he sees is friend's accomplishment. There is really no contesting real talent and power.]
I knew you'd be good at it, but you got the hang of it really fast!
[He's proud. Evious, just a bit, but mostly proud.]
Focus on that feeling. Transforming feels a lot like taking a dive, with the surface being the crossing line. Once you're fully submerged, you've got it.
