Cool and Spicy~

Great Hall

[This is a chance for Amu to start over. For her to drop her outside character and just be herself. Except that is easier said than done. She's only been with her chara's and the others for a year but she misses them. She sits at a table after leaving her cloak in her room. Her bag from her old school is in front of her and she's looking out the window with her chin resting on her palm. She's a little down without anyone else she knows here but her parents had gotten so excited when she got her letter.

She sighs looking back over the great hall at the other students.

She can't help but wonder what it's going to be like here. There were a few people that she spotted from Japan but she couldn't help but feel a little displaced. As a collection of sad thoughts worked to invade her mind she tries to push them away. Everyone is wishing her luck from home and she'd be able to visit and see them again soon. 

Even so, she's clearly dwelling on it and has once again fallen back into her 'cool and spicy' attitude. She doesn't want to get close if she has to say goodbye.]

School Grounds

[Amu decides to spend some time walking around the outside of the castle. It was amazing seeing the castle from the boats with the stars as a back drop but it had been night then and she wasn't able to see it all. She steps through the grass taking a look at anything that seems odd. She has read a few books before coming that her father had given her about wizards and the like but there is a lot that she doesn't know.]

Mmm...

[She lightly kicks at a rock almost expecting it to fly off. This is such a weird place.

Amu does find a strange tree on the grounds and yet as she gets closer it starts to move so she takes a few steps back. It's not worth chancing that the tree might see her as a tasty snack.]

What's with this place.

Gryffindor

[She's sitting in the common room with a book out in front of her. Her attempts to jump ahead have only managed to put the first year to sleep. The fire next to her seems to be giving her just enough warmth for the chill of the castle not to wake her up. Her quill has fallen to the table and her head is resting in the center of her text, using the book as a pillow. It might take some effort to wake her up though it's hard to tell with the soft mumbles coming from her lips. ]

[Amu shrugs trying to play it cool.]

Nothing is really happening here.

[At least not that the moment and she hoped she sounded more bored than she did sad.]

I guess that is true since they say the school year hasn't started. There isn't much to do. However in a new place don't you think exploring can always be fun?

[She was going to try and help the other, at least make it less boring anyway.]

[Amu blinks a little surprised. Thought's are frantically skimming through her head trying to figure out what to say next.]

Ah, yeah. Sure.

[It can be fun and she hasn't admitted it but she really wants to go exploring even if its a little spooky.]

[She smiled happily as she turned around and started to walk on ahead.]

Then lets get going.

[She sighs and stands to follow Fuu. Her gaze looks uninterested but she can't help but look around the castle as they began to walk through the halls. When she sees a row of knights lining a wall she almost jumps at the sight of them.

Yeah, they look spooky.]

Whoa...

[Fuu didn't flinch as she looked at them, a finger lightly tapping on her chin for a moment.]

I wonder if they move? I know that the pictures are alive in a sense, so I have to wonder. Do you think that we should find out?"

Let's hope they don't.

[That doesn't sound like a comforting thought to her and she's already going to have issues sleeping.]

Is there any reason that they might? Or anyway to tell?

Why would you hope they don't? If something were to happen you would thing they would make good protectors.

[She shakes her head slightly before looking at them slightly.]

I guess we would have known by now, they would move there heads or something, so they must not move.

[whatshouldibe]

[The mention of protectors made Amu a little bit sad. She missed her shugo chara and she wonders how everyone is doing back home. If everything is okay.]

Well, let’s hope they just move when they are trying to help.

[Which means they have no reason to move now.]

I am beginning to think that they don't move at all.

[With that thought she starts to walk off, looking around a little bit more at the various things on the wall. All the paintings, some of which were going from one painting to another.]

Wonder what other exciting things there are.

[Amu jumps when she sees a painting move and then places a hand over her heart to steady herself. There is no point in getting jumpy... right?]

Y-yeah. Exciting things. I've hear people here can turn into animals.

Some of them anyway.

Oh really... I guess magic can do anything here. That's most interesting.

[Being an animal would be interesting to try someday maybe at least.]

I wonder what animal people would turn into.

[whatshouldibe]

Probably whatever they want.

[Amu really wants to try but she doesn't want to admit it.]

Maybe something like a bird or a cat.

I wonder if there is a book around here that might explain it better.

[It would be most interesting really.]

What animal would you want to be if you could be anything?

[Amu looks up surprised.]

I don't know...

[She's always been indicisive.]

Maybe a cat? [Su would like that.]

Or a blue bird... [Miki would enjoy it.]

Or a monkey? [Ran would get a kick out of that.]

Interesting. I always assumed I would be a bird or something.

[Ever since going to that world, she believed she would be something that had the wind element and a bird was close enough to that kind of thing.]

I might look it up and see how it might work.

[Amu nods.]

Maybe we could learn together? [Not that she wants a friend or anything like that.]

[She nodded slightly.]

It's always better to learn with more than just ones self. Plus it's more fun that way.

[Amu nods.]

Right. It'd be fun.

Shall we go to the library?

[She wanted to go and lok it up right now if possible.]

Yeah.

[Amu follows behind with a smile. Fuu reminds her a lot of Nadeshiko.]

[She started to walk, knowing exactly where to go even if she might not have been here for long. She at least now understood why she had been placed in the house she was currently in anyway.]

So, do you understand the meanings to each of the houses?

not really, I haven't looked much into it.

[She honestly doesn't think there is anything to it.]

From what i read we get sorted based by our traits in which each house represents. Do you want to know what each house looks for?

[She understand now why she is in Ravenclaw at least.]

Yeah.

[She realizes she should probably be contributing more to this conversation but it's nice just to listen sometimes and it doesn't make it to hard to think.]
