Valentine’s Quiry | Ravenclaw Common Room or Hallways

[Lately Seth has been running into a few problems. The first of which is that he’s dating someone, which isn’t so much a problem except that it’s quickly approaching Valentine’s Day and he has no idea what to do. For one, Valentine’s Day is about a blood massacre? It’s true that it used to be a celebration, something like a feast, for the all Saint Valentine in the Catholic religion but that still doesn’t equate to love. So he’s missing the point in history when this became a romantic holiday.

However this does explain the red and hearts he sees every February. Now he wishes he asked about it sooner.

Whether in the common room or somewhere within the halls of Hogwarts Seth can be found pacing. One hand scratching the white tuffs of hair behind his head while his mind works over time, he has no idea what people think is romantic. There are so many new things he’s encountering and he’s at a loss at what to do.]

Jealousy? | Great Hall or Before and After Classes

[Another new sensation has begun to bubble and rise within Seth’s slight frame. He’s usually relaxed, frustrating and the sort of person who enjoys pushing buttons or teasing others. Either way, his usual emotional state is either boredom, contentment, or a strange dulled happiness. Now he’s feeling a rainbow of emotions and he has no idea how to handle it.

Seth doesn’t get angry but he’s annoyed and frustrated which is most likely the closest he’ll get to the dark emotion.

He hasn’t been able to really hang out with Rin lately, there was detention and his efforts to join the boy there were useless. As always Rin had Quidditch practice but it doesn’t really feel like they are close there either considering Seth is usually sitting on the stands. Rin also has a lot of friends which means he’s often pulled away and out of sight. Added to the fact that they are in different houses and Seth barely sees him at all. He has no idea what dating someone is supposed to be like be he doesn’t feel like it shouldn’t be like this.

As the first week into the month passes the tension in Seth’s shoulders rise, his pale golden eyes are narrowed in a grumpy stare and most of his answers are short and sharp. He doesn’t mean to be on edge and he feels bad after snapping at people. Seth’s never liked fighting, be it verbally or otherwise.]

[Kairi knew that it was coming up but never really celebrated past just giving chocolates to friends. That was just how she was after all, she didn't feel the pressure the holiday would bring, instead she saw it as a day to celebrate love of friends as well.

So when she saw someone pacing back and forth, she had an idea as to why.]

Worried about the upcoming holiday?

[Seth pauses and looks over at Kairi.]

Yeah...

[He has no idea what to say other than that. He's really not used to these holidays.]

That's pretty normal for people around here. That pressure to have to go something, but think of it this way. It doesn't have to be a massive gesture. Simple is always better and easier to pull off.

[She figured that was the problem.]

Yeah, that works but I don't even know what simple gesture to do...

[He's never really liked someone before, at least not like this.]

Simple means basic. If you know the person, simple is easy to think of. Like my sister. I know her well enough to know to get her an art set.

It's simple and has something she likes. If you go personal go with something like a bracelet handmade based on there favourite colours or something.

[Seth puts his hand on his head realizing he has no idea what Rin's favorite color is.]

Ah, right... bracelet.

[Does the quidditch player wear jewelry? Kairi might know, she's at least on one of the teams. Except when he's going to ask he chokes and says nothing instead.]

You know it can be other things. It all depends on what you know about the person.

[This was one of the things she was good at at least.]

I know he likes quidditch and certain classes...

[That's so unhelpful.]

I guess he likes me...

What classes exactly?

[She can probably think of a few things.]

Arithmancy

[Math... it's really complicated math...and Seth tried to understand it.]

I guess he'd need something to store whatever he used for that. You could make something like that.

[Like a case or something.]

[Seth hums softly and then nods his head.]

Yeah, I might do that.

[Would an Owl be to big of a present?]

Do you know what you will need to make something?

[She stood with her arms at her side for the brief moment.]

[He shrugs.]

I'll hit up Hogsmede and figure something out.

I will wish you good luck with that and hope it all goes well.

[Aidou had dismissed the class as he knew that some people hadn't handed in some work, or hadn't handed in a complete work. So as people left he had made sure to let those know he needed that work in today.]

This is a reminder to let everyone know homework was due in today, so if you haven't done so please stay behind, or else I will find you later.

[Seth hasn't been able to focus on school and honestly he doesn't care. With a sigh he rises and attempts to slip from the classroom. He doesn't want to deal with the teacher who is clearly older than he appears.]

Seth, you have yet to hand in your assignment. Do you have it or will I have to ask again in the Great Hall.

[He had a list and he was on it.]

[Seth shrugs.]

Honestly I'm probably not going to do it.

[He places his hands in his pocket.]

Unless I can get an extension because I can't focus on this.

[It isn't like school directly affects him anyway.]

And why should I give you an extension? I will only give one if it's an extremely good reason.

[If not odds are highly likely detention himself. Or some other punishment he needs to ask teachers about. After all he knows not to give people special treatment.]

[Seth groans.]

Fine, I'll have it to you by the end of the day.

[It's just not going to be any good and there might be doodles of hearts in the corners.]

[When he gets the work he just sighs slightly, giving it the worst grade possible before adding the note of not letting personal stuff affect ones work.]

[Rin is wlaking the hall down, just out of class, when he spots the familiar white top and his face brightens istantly. It feels like ages since he spoke with Seth (though it probably wasn't as long) and he's happy to run into his boyfriend. Seth is turned with his back to him and a mischievous idea comes to Rin's mind.

He quietly sneaks up on Seth and jumps him from behind at the last moment, hands covering the twinkling eyes.]

Guess who!

[He whispers into the ear, smirking though Seth can't see it.]

[Seth can't help but smile at Rin. First of all, who else would do that? Second, he's speaking into Rin's ear and Seth knows Rin's voice.]

How many guesses do I get?

[He doesn't actually wait though. He lightly takes hold of Rin's wrist and turns pulling the Quidditch player against him, so that they can face each other. Rin's probably the one person that can ease Seth's worry. Not that he wants to admit it...]

Just one.

[Rin is grinning as he lets Seth turn and look at him, before wrapping his arms around the slender shoulder.]

How’s it going? I see you so little, that I barely know what you’re up to.

[Stuck in detention the most of his afternoons, he was glad when he had time to do his homework and study for the other subjects. It was bad enough he barely practiced Quidditch, but seeing Seth sporadically like this, was hard. But when they’re actually together, Rin feels like he can overcome everything. Seth makes him feel strong and gives him courage. Except when he’s trying to break into his detention, which is when he’s giving Rin a headache and a big scare, sweet as the gesture might be.]

[Seth smiles and lightly rests his forehead against Rin's shoulder. He releases a shaky breath realizing only then that he hadn't been breathing for a few seconds.]

I think I'm suppose to say that to you.

[His voice is light but it obviously annoys him that he see's Rin so infrequently. He goes to Rin's practices but even then he has to watch from afar. Sometimes he'll study next to Rin but he finds actually doing school work really boring. His arms remain lightly draped around Rin's center though his back tenses.]

I don't like not seeing you.

[He's hoping that he doesn't sound jealous right then.]

[Rin hold Seth, smiling lightly. He feels Seth's arms tense around him and it startles him how possessive the hold feels for a moment, but it's not unpleasant. More than that it makes him feel treasured.]

I don't like it either... But it's just a few more weeks. We need to hold out until then. Then you can abduct me anytime you want.

[He says, giving Seth a playful wink, thinking about how he almost yelled at Professor Daphne for giving him a detenton like that.]

[Seth groans softly before lifting himself from Rin's shoulder. Yellow eyes flick towards him while a soft pout pulls at his lips.]

Fine...

[Considering his past you'd think he'd have patience.]

[Rin chuckles at the groan and looks at Seth. It’s kinda cute… to be missed like this. He gives Seth a grin, stroking the guy’s back softly.]

Come one, aren’t things like this supposed to be good for a relationship? Time makes heart grow fonder, or something like that?

[He says, teasingly.]

[Seth still doesn't look very happy but feeling Rin run his fingers across his back in combination with his words of reassurance makes Seth feel better.]

I just... it's not fair that others get to see you and I can't.

[He has a house of kids who get to hang out with him more than Seth can.]

[Rin’s smile falls, when he hears that, his hands sliding down from Seth’s back to the chest, his right hand resting above Seth’s heart.]

It’s hard for me too.

[He admits. It’s hard to think of all the Ravenclaws, who get to see Seth more than he does, but that’s the trial of being in two different houses.]

But… You know what I think? That if we overcome all the obstacles, our bond will become only stronger. We have to hold on, only then we can make it.

[It sounds like the sort of things you hear in books and it doesn't really do a lot to sooth Seth's troubled heart. Even so he smiles at Rin looking at the boy who's so expertly stolen his heart.

He leans forward slightly, lightly brushing his lips against Rin's.]

If you say so. Then I believe you.

[Yogi stumbles upon Seth in one of the hallways by chance, just when he’s making his way to the Ravenclaw tower, with a middle-sized bag slung over his shoulders, containing certain two plushies. He thanks lady luck for sparing him the track briefly, before bouncing over to where Seth seems to be...huh? pacing?

Yogi stops, wondering, if now is a bad time. Seth seems preoccupied. But maybe it will cheer him up to know his presents are done…

He approaches slower this time and speaks softly.]

Uhm… May I talk to you…?

[Seth snaps out of his thoughts instantly and looks over at Yogi. His expression shifts from confusion to contentment. He doesn't really like it when people see what's on his mind.]

Ah, yeah. What's up?

[Seth looks normal again, but Yogi feels something is wrong. You didn't pace a hole into the hallway if nothing was wrong. But that's not why he came t see Seth.]

I just wanted to let you know, that I'm finished. With your request.

[He adds, in case Seth can't remember right away and holds up his backpack.]

Is everything alright?

[He ends up asking, because he can't help worrying.]

[Seth blinks looking as if he's almost forgotten.]

Oh, thank you.

[He looks towards Yogi's bag before glancing back at Yogi.]

Ah, just thinking about the 14th.

[Yogi hands him the backpack for Seth to take a look and easier transportation. And if it’s a surprise it’s best if no one sees, right?]

You can return the backpack later, it’s okay.

[He watches Seth, as he says he’s thinking about Valentine and tilts his head.]

How are your plans going so far? Have you found what you want to do with your special someone?

Maybe... I might be breaking a few school rules to do it...

[He's finding he doesn't care to much about the school rules anyway.]

I hope it's okay..

Eh?!

[The answer surprises Yogi and he thinks maybe he should stop him, but he doesn’t really believe he has a right to. Besides, it’s… To have that much resolve to make your special someone happy…]

Uh… well, just don’t get caught. Good luck!

[Seth flashes him a cock smile.]

Me? Get caught?

[That isn't going to happen, not if he's doing it for Rin.]

[Yogi laugh a little nervously, when Seth declares that. He’s probably better off not knowing, he thinks with a chuckle.]

I hope it all goes well.

Yeah.

[Seth waves and then heads off with a smile. Oh, does he have a plan and so far it sounds awesome in his head.]
