2nd Game!
FLYING! | Anywhere Outside | Early Morning
[Kotaro has been given permission from his super amazing, super talented, older brother and so he's learning to fly. He has a borrowed broom held eagerly between his fingers. He's suppose to wait for Sano but he knows how to take off from flying classes. He mounts his broom and kicks off hard.
He hovers for a few seconds before leaning forward and urging the broom to follow.
That's when everything went wrong. The broom bucks forward sailing high into the sky with Kotaro along for the ride. He screams, his cries falling further away as the broom flies with a mind of it's own. 50 feet up in the air and Kotaro's grip slips. He falls to the ground his screams echoing around the grounds as the earth approaches at a dangerous rate.]
CAKE! | Great Hall | Later That Day
[Kotaro wouldn't have died from the fall but he does get cake afterwards! Well, he asked for cake which is why he's sitting in the great hall with a fork clasp tightly in his hand. He digs into a large piece of chocolate cake with a wide smile on his lips.
His weakness is desert though he feels bad for upsetting everyone.
He hopes that he's not in trouble or that Jiro hasn't found out the exact details of what happened. He has a feeling that he's going to be yelled at but for now Cake is his main focus.]

Flying
Well, I’d say generally by holding onto your broom. But even then it takes a lot to fall down, so I’d say stay firm in your seat, don’t trash around, or wiggle, or dangle, or any of the stuff that keeps you off balance and stay focused on flying. When you play Quidditch it all goes terribly fast, so you need to keep your mind focused on the task.
Flying
[He grins before reaching for him broom again.]
Flying
The thought makes him chuckle once again and he gives the boy a grin.]
Ready when you are!
[They’ll be doing this at Kotaro’s pace.]
Flying
Okay!
[He positions himself on the broom and makes her that his hands are gripping the brooms tightly. He kicks off the ground and hovers feeling his smile widen.]
I knew I could do it!
[He leans forward and slowly begins to move forward a few yards before leaning to the side and moving around. He isn't so bad.]
Flying
That’s it! See, it’s not hard. Brooms can be controlled by thoughts and will alone, so all you need to do is be sure in your seat and believe you won’t fall. It feels sorta odd at first, but later you don’t even notice how you’re doing it. Wanna try go higher?
Flying
Good broom!
YEAH! How high can we go?
Flying
[Sano says, grinning. Kotaro is totally ruling him, he knows it, but he can’t help it. Damn kid is just too cute praising his broom like that.]
There’s a given limit how high brooms can fly, but I don’t think we’ll be getting anywhere close to it. And even if, I’ll stop you.
Flying
YAY!
[He flies higher and higher looking up at the sky and then back towards the ground. He waves at Sano leaving one hand on the broom.]
Lookie! I'm so high!
Flying
Very good! Just make sure to hold your broom with at least one hand. You need to have good balance and be very sure on your broom to be able to let go with both.
Wanna do a round around the stadium? You can try raising your speed, see how fast you can go without it being scary.
Flying
A bright happy giggle escapes his lips as he finishes his lap.
That is the coolest thing ever.]
Flying
The kid is so happy and exuberant, that Sano can't keep from grinning from ear to ear as well.]
See, it's not that hard. Just make sure to not overestimate yourself. Your brother would castrate me, if I let something happen to you.
Flying
I'll be fine! I'm going to become the best flyer and then show brother!
[He turns again this time tumbling in air with a giddy sort of smile.]
Hey! Hey! Watch what I can do!
[Kotaro tumbles again, giggling.]
Flying
Careful. [He chides gently, but doesn’t move to stop him, chuckling instead.] Jirou will be impressed when he sees what you can do, but it’s still a long way there. I’m sure you make him a proud older brother.
Flying
Really? I can't wait to show him!
[He pauses looking suddenly confused.]
Can I fly at night?
Flying
[Not that it ever stopped Sano. Flying at night was one of his favorite things to do.]
Wait for a little longer, okay?
Flying
[Kotaro pouts slightly, his cheeks puffing up. He isn’t saying that Jiro is a vampire but Kotaro does nothing to hide that fact.]
There has to be a way I can show him…
[He CAN wake him brother up during the day but he’s usually grumpy when Kotaro does that and he’d need an umbrella.]
Flying
You can show him later. When you know how to properly.
[He says encouragingly and reaches out to ruffle the blond mop of hair.]
Though you should be more careful with whom you let know your brother is sensitive to sunlight. There aren't many human-looking creatures who are, so it's not hard to guess and usually it's not met with much understanding.
Flying
[Kotaro might have told some people that him and his brother are vampires. He doesn't know what's wrong with it and he just wants to make friends.]
I'm trying not to but it's true. Jiro sleeps through most of the day.
[It's boring.]
And he gets really mad if I wake him up.
[Kotaro sounds nervous about that.]
Flying
That must be because we're both worried you'll get hurt. There's nothing wrong with being vampires, but not many people will think so.
[He has to laugh, when he imagines Jirou waking up from his much deserved sleep and wonders if waking up in the middle of the day equals for a vampire to what a human experiences when they're roused from their slumber at 4 am. Sano might be compelled to kill, if he was to judge purely by how he absolutely hated 7 am already.]
I'm not much of a morning person either. [He confesses.] Just be patient. Get good enough to fly alone and you can show him then.
Flying (Want to hand wave the rest of the practice?)
Alright... can I keep practicing today?
[He doesn't want to stop just yet since he's now getting the hang of handling the broom better. Plus he doesn't really want to focus on his other homework.]
