2nd Full Moon
Prelude, The Lake, Late Night
[ Jiro was beginning to have a strong dislike for the creatures on the grounds, or at least those on the lake.
It had been a routine inspection. He was checking the grounds, making sure that everything was safe for the school from all accounts. It was one of his duties. However, part of it unfortunately involved going across the lake by boat... That, perhaps, was his mistake.
Maybe some of the people awake would have heard the startled yelp and the following splash of something falling into the water. One of the boats was then capsized and floating upside-down in the middle of the lake, with a violent pool of bubbles breaking the otherwise calm surface water.
It took some time before the red-clad man emerged, walking out of the water to the shore with steam rolling off of his body in the cold night air. He collapsed in the snow, resting a bit and, should someone move the hat on his head, they would see nothing but his hair and bones. However, he didn't intend to linger, and as soon as he had the strength he limped back towards the castle.
Perhaps, in the morning, there would be rumor of a walking skeleton on the grounds. Hopefully, it would remain only a rumor. ]
Inside the Castle, An Hour Later
[ He was shivering, weak, and exhausted by the time he re-entered the castle. The steam coming off of him had stopped by then, leaving Jiro soaking wet and walking slow, back towards the staffroom. There were spare robes he could change into there, ones that were warm and dry. The sooner he could do that, the sooner he could begin to feel like himself again, and work on a slow process of regaining his strength.
It was never so simple, and the sound of footsteps immediately had him on edge, nearly snarling at the source before remembering himself. Still, there was something in his tone that betrayed his agitation when he spoke. ]
Who's there!?

Where are you?
Inside the castle
Before you, apparently. The better question is what you're doing out of bed this late.
Inside the castle
[There was a reason for that one.]
Inside the castle
You still shouldn't be out of the dorms. That curfew is there for a reason.
[ He was still clearly annoyed, twitching and not in a good mood at all. ]
... I can see about asking for some tea from the kitchen. Something to help you sleep, and then you should go straight back. Understand?
Inside the castle
[But he wonder stood, he just didn't want t keep hearing his room mates right now.]
Though sir... You look wet, do you need a towel?

The Lake
She really hoped it wasn't a person falling in.]
The Lake
However, said group of bubbles was starting to move slowly towards the shore, though not in a straight line. It was almost as if something was boiling at the bottom of the lake. ]
The Lake
She held her wand firmly, ready to attack should something wanted to come out.]
The Lake
Almost as soon as he was out of the water and onto the shore he fell, face first into the snow and becoming completely still after. There was still steam rolling off of him, though that could easily be attributed to lost body heat evaporating the water in the cold night air. ]

Prelude, The Lake, Late Night
But he doesn't think it's a bad thing since he's specifically looking for his brother. He walks around the castle shouting Jiro's name and when that proves to be useless he goes out towards the grounds. She stifles a large yawn with his hand only pauses when he notices smoke rising from the snow.]
Jiro?
[He walks over and feels a giggle rise in her chest at the feeling of the snow.]
I found you!
[He pauses looking down.]
I guess you fell into the lake.
[He should probably pull him somewhere in the shade.]
Prelude, The Lake, Late Night
Jiro is still for a solid minute longer before he finally moved, his skin beginning to regenerate around the moving bones as he meets Kotaro's eye, breathing ragged and tired. ]
Kotaro...?
[ That's a sigh from him. Right now he's too tired to be too cross, especially with the impromptu bath he just took. ]
You really shouldn't be out right now...
Prelude, The Lake, Late Night
But I missed you at dinner and I need to talk to you.
[He's going to actually ask for permission and then do something that he probably shouldn't.]
Prelude, The Lake, Late Night
What is it?
[ Hopefully not something silly like asking for more cake, but he had to have more faith in Kotaro than that. ]
Prelude, The Lake, Late Night
[He already forgot the name of the sport.]
Sano said it was okay.

Inside the Castle, An Hour Later
[Terra is on the night watch tonight which is why she's wandering around the school. Her brows furrow slightly after recognizing the grounds keeper.]
Are you alright?
Inside the Castle, An Hour Later
[ He has to take a breath, shaking his head before attempting to straighten and regain some of his lost dignity. ]
I am all right, I simply need to dry off. Ms. Branford, is it?
Inside the Castle, An Hour Later
[She smiles at him.]
Can I get you a towel?

Lake of course!
He walked through the chilly night with a slow pace, enjoying the calm silence. As he got closer to the water, he noticed a shadow of a figure lying on the shore. WAS THAT A PERSON?! Not hesitating for a seoncd, he pulled out his wand and sprinted towards the motionless figure.]
Hey! Hey, are you alright?!
[As he got a clearer view, he took note of the red clothes and recognized the person for who he was.]
Holy shit, Jirou!
[Kneeling down next to the man, he shook him, once, twice. There was a strange rattling ound, but he ignored it, for more pressing matters.]
You hear me? Wake up, damnit!
[He reached out with his hand, about to feel if the man still had pulse. On other hand, he should also roll him, see if the guy was still breathing. Holy hell, where was Madame Pomfrey when you needed her?!]
Lake of course!
His head remained bowed for the moment, though at the time Jiro was careless; if his hat fell, or if Sano had a good look at his face, the fact that Jiro was currently little more than bones would be plain to see. ]
Lake of course!
Thank Merlin.
[He already saw himself explaining to Kotaro the sudden death of his brother - an experience he'd rather not make. Kotaro was still too young to be faced with something like this.
He gently steadies Jirou by the chest, as the guy tries to sit up and helps him.]
Slowly... You're completely soaked. What on earth were you- HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!
[Only when Jirou is finally sitting up, does Sano notice the state the man's in and that alone sends him on his butt, holding up his wand in reflexive response, casting a nonverbal protego, before he even knows he's doing it.
For a few moments nothing happens, as they are only staring at each other... As far as you could count two hollow eyeballs focused on you staring. It's undoubtedly Jirou though, with those clothes and hair and it has Sano confused. Only then does he start noticing the details, he didn't bother with before. For example the steam, that's coming out of Jirou's body, like the water burned him. Who on earth gets burned by... wait. WAIT. His DADA NEWTs flash in front of his eyes.
'...cannot stand being touched by water, or anything with a purifying effect...'
Well that and those sharp incisors were a rather big hint.]
You're a vampire?!
Lake of course!
[ At last his voice returned, and although he couldn't stand he was recovering more and more. Within seconds of his words his muscles, his organs, those all came back with incredible speed, followed immediately by his skin. It was then that he managed to open his eyes again, taking a shuddering breath as by then he knew he was at least recognizable. ]
Perhaps... We should speak more of this inside, Sano.
Lake of course!

When he emerged fromt he water and back onto the snowy shore the man collapsed face-first, becoming entirely still afterwards as if he had died on the spot. ]
