1st Frost | How to avoid people

[When she had found out she was accepted into this school... She honestly didn't know what to think, except for the fact that she was different than the rest of her family. However she hadn't been very excited about it due to the fact it was her accidentally using magic that hurt her sister. She saw it as a curse and something she had always meant to keep hidden. Yet as she wondered the hallways, somewhat out of it, she still thought as such.

Keeping to herself both during her time in the Great Hall and out of it, she just simply didn't want to hurt anyone else. At least that was what she was attempting to do. However she still wasn't sure if people would avoid her to, otherwise she felt like she could hurt them as well if they stayed close to her. Turning a corner, Elsa's eyes were to the floor as she was muttering some words to herself, hands gripping slightly. She really wasn't paying attention to what was going on in front of her, more focused on something else.]

Well, let me know if that changes, okay Elsa? I might not be able to tell you everything about this place but I'll help where I can.

[Somehow, it's just easier to be nicer to Elsa than it is to most of the other students. Maybe it's because Elsa doesn't know better when it comes to Hogwarts yet, or maybe it's because Adela knows to put a hold on herself when it's younger people in general - namely because it doesn't feel like she has to impress anyone. Regardless, seeing the other girl relax just feels like it's enough for her.]

[She nods slightly. She as glad that there was someone who she felt comfortable to be around, but she couldn't quite figure out why that was. She was still scared that she could hurt them, but still...]

I'll make sure that if I have anything else to ask that I will. Though...I guess I should leave you to do whatever you might have been doing before.

I was only walking around, you weren't stopping me from doing anything. There really isn't a whole lot to do here during the summer, so I guess that gives us a lot more time for just relaxing here and becoming more familiar with the school and other students who might be sticking around for whatever reason.

I-I see. Then I wonder why they sent me over here during the summer? I mean it makes sense for me, this way I don't hurt anyone, but why are you here if there isn't much to do?

[ Adela's no longer smiling, at least not naturally. She doesn't take long to change back to a more relaxed expression though, glancing away. ]

It's a little complicated. My parents are really busy this summer, so they figured it'd be easier for me to stay here this year.

[That... made sense, she figured. Not like she could understand really, but she was trying to.]

I see... So if you had the choice would you have stayed here?

I think I would have gone home, if I could have. I would have wanted to see my family over the summer.

[ She shakes it off, trying to put on a smile for Elsa again as she adds onto what she had said previously. ]

Don't worry about it. We'll get to see our families over the holidays, right? In the mean time I guess we should try to enjoy our summers before classes start up again.

You didn't see your family over the summer?

[She looked down slightly. She knew she wouldn't be able to see her family over any holidays, they had suggested she stay as long as possible at least until she had better control anyway.]

I hope that you'll be able to see them next holiday then.

No... They were really busy.

[ She nods however, looking to Elsa with a weak smile. ]

You too. Hogwarts is fun but... It shouldn't be where we live all the time, you know? Let's hope that our holidays with our families are good ones.

I'll be fine with staying here over the holidays, but that is just me.

[Just her anyway as far as she figured.]

But... I can understand wanting to be with those you love anyway.

[ She briefly wonders if her home life is so terrible that she'd prefer to stay at Hogwarts, or if she's possibly so enchanted by the school that it seems more appealing. Adela's leaning towards the former, but...

Pressuring Elsa into talking about it isn't going to go anywhere. That and it's none of her business. ]

From what I've heard, the school and staff do incredible things for the students who do stay over the holiday. So I'm sure you'll have fun here too, if you do stay.

[Well she guessed that was a good thing at least as she gave off a small smile. It was the best she could do anyway.]

That's good for those who stay, but um... I'm not sure how to continue on with this conversation... I'm not use to people around people lately.

Don't worry about it, I'm not either.

[She sighs a bit, though it's more amused than anything else.]

Maybe I'll see you later, Elsa?

[She nodded slightly, even if it was nervously.]

Yeah.. Maybe. [She waves slightly before she heads off.]
