QUIDDITCH PRACTICE OF ANY KIND
[The one thing that Sano liked about January was, that two months after the Quidditch season started, a lot more students started to take interest in it and gathered enough courge to be willing to try. Though sometimes it took a bit of convincing on his part, but if he knew he student wanted to play, he wouldn't give in. Sometimes people needed a little push. So it happens, that he's got some more private lessons than he anticipate, but that's all fine with him. He doesn't mind coaching young talents for future generations of his beloved sport. And even if the skill doesn't come natrally, all you needed was determination and discipline. There's no amount of talent that could measure up to hard work.
Of course he's still coaching the house teams as well, usually during the afternoon. Practice is ain full gear now, with the house cup up and running, the point piling up more rapidly than the coins in Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. No matter the weather, Sano's up his broom and instructing the player almost every day now, sometimes even twice a day, yelling out various instructions as he's at it.
It's a wonder no one has found him slumped in his chair in the referee's room, trying to catch his breath yet. The amount of flying is slightly getting to him, but it's still bearable. He's more exhausted than he should be, but he's mostly okay. A few minutes of rest and a goodnight of sleep usually do the trick.]
TIME OFF
[The other thing Sano likes about January is the National Quidditch League. Being a former pro player he's got a free entry to all of his former team's games, along with anyone who's in his company and if he wants to, he can usually convince people to get him free tickets for other games as well. It's not unusual to find him up on a Saturday morning, dressed in his casual robes, heading out of the castle, towards Hogsmead, where he can apparate to whichever stadion the game's held at.
His colleagues and friends usually know what he's up to, since he tends to randomly invite them, in case they feel like seeing a game. He's alwayshappy for company and he won't let anyone, who wants to see a goood game, miss their opportunity. They either meet him up before heading to Hogsmead together, or outside of the village on a designated meeting point.]

Of course. The field is huge, it’s just that when you’re on your broom and flying about 100 miles per hour, trying to score… or keep someone else from scoring, it feels very small, trust me.
[For a moment his gaze wanders to the familiar hoops and he wonders how many times it had been that he had been floating on his broom right in front of them and kept the Chasers from scoring in this particular field. The Kestrels played many games in the Ilkley moor, so the number was probably high.
Inwardly shaking his head, he turns back to Terra again.]
I hope you’ll enjoy yourself.

[She smiles at they take their seats. From what little she knows about these games she doesn't think she'll be sitting much but then Terra isn't the sort of person who just jumps up and shouts. Then again this is her first time to a game so she just might this time around.]
It's exciting.
[You can feel the buzz of excitement in the air.]

[Sano smirks and watches as the mascots roll accompnied by thunderous applause and the play of harps, a speciality of the Kenmare team.]
This is a small show before the game starts. Sorta like mutual showing off and provoking each other.
[The Kestrel's leprechauns and the Tornado's coblynaus start doing their thing to the crowd's utter delight and clapping of hands, to which he soon joins in.]
no subject
That's amazing!
[She hasn't seen anything with this much flar before and she's already finding herself absorbed into the game. So mostly knows the rules by now.]
no subject
Ladies and gents!
[As he talks the players of the two teams start to appear, one after another, each receiving a brief commentary. When the grass green habits printed with golden letter appear, the harps are as loud as they can only be and Sano yells something over the crowd, which he himself can barely hear, through the sheer power of the cries of the fans.
When the Kestrel players appear, he leans over to Terra, to whisper his own personal commentary about them. Who’s the captain, which Chaser is the best suited against the Tutshill Keeper, their different habits and briefly about their function in the team to refresh her memory about the positions.]

She nods with a smile letting him know that she understands before looking back towards the game. She wonders how long it's going to last.]
no subject
Left.
[He breathes. He knows it, he can feel it in his muscles, even now trained and reacting, like he's there.]
Left!
[His hand finds his hair, as he watches with horror, when the keeper charges right, after that obvious feint and the first points get scored.]
Come on that's your textbook, kid!!!
[He knew it... Bottom of the table. That's how they're gonna end. Only then he realizes that he still has Terra sitting next to him and he turns to her, to flash an apologetic smile.]
Sorry about that...
no subject
Don't be. Having you here helps.
[At least with reading the players moves.]
no subject
[He pulls at his hair a little, in a manner that's almost embarrassed. If Sano knew what shame is - he usually pretens he has no idea.
He nods to the chaser who just scored.]
The way he moves his arm... it's like he's yelling at me where he's gonna hit.
no subject
I've noticed. [She waits a second before leaning closer and speaking into Sano's ear.]
The player with the quaffle is going to veer left and then cut sharp right and throw in the bottom goal post.
[Terra's past aside she's used to reading people's movements and the way they distribute their weight on the broom says everything about what they will do next. Added to the logic that the game follows.]
no subject
I'm impressed. [Sano smirks at Terra.] How did ya know?
no subject
The place I lived before coming to Hogwarts... well, there was a lot of war there. [It's complicated.]
I learned to fight and part of that is predicting what people are going to do. You can tell. [She points towards the man on the broom.] As he shifts his weight.
no subject
I’m sorry to hear that. But I’m glad you’re among us now.
[He gives her a honest smile, because he means it. He’s glad to have met her.
Turning back to the field, he chuckles again, because she’s right. He had just been surprised she had knowledge like that, but it seems there are more layers to this woman, than she lets show.]
You really can, I’m not gonna argue that.
[He watches as his former team mates manage to land another score and sends an obligatory cheer. Maybe they can still turn it around. He does hope so.]
no subject
They're all very good players though.
[She smiles at Sano.]
Think we can win?
no subject
Thank you!
[They might not be his team anymore, but he still feels proud when they get complimented. Do they have a chance of winning though?]
Possibly. When they start paying actual attention to their opponents. Or, if they catch the snitch before the Tornados get 15 scores out of them. A score with the quaffle is worth 10, catching the snitch gives 150.
[So cheap. Honestly.]
no subject
Have you ever thought of helping your old team train?
[She doesn't want him to quit at the school or anything like that but he knows so much. There is no reason why his team can't benefit from it.]
no subject
I couldn't do it. It would only make me miss playing again, after I've just gotten over it too.
[And his kids, as he affectionately calls his first years and the house teams, didn't deserve him to stop teaching them with all his heart. He wants to continue enjoy what he's doing, just as much as he's enjoying it now.]
Besides, I walked away already. I can't turn back. Keeping backdoors open and halfway arrangements are not really my style.
[He admits, looking at Terra. But he appreciates the thought.]
no subject
That's very admirable of you.
[She turns her gaze away from Sano and towards the game. There is a second that passes and then she's pulling at Sano's arm.]
I see the snitch!
[She points to the fair end of the pitch where there is a small glint of gold. Terra doesn't know if the players have noticed it yet and of course it can vanish at any moment.]
no subject
Merlin's balls you're right!
[His eyes dart to the Seekers, who are flying in circles high above them. They haven't noticed yet.]
Oh please, please...
no subject
They spotted it.
no subject
Come on... Come on...
[3... 2... 1... The both charge at the same time and the crowd gasps at the tangle of limbs that the seekers find themselves in for a moment.]
He got it!
[Someone cries and yeah, Sano knows that, but who? He thinks... hopes... he saw a green sleeve be a little more forward, but it's hard to tell at the distance. He ought to bring his bnoculars next time.
Finally the seekers untangle, one slunched and one with their hand raised up proudly and the crowd errupts in a cheer and before he knows what he's doing, Sano's embracing Terra and lifting her up to spin her in the air.]
Fair boy, he got it! We WIN!!!
no subject
She laughs brightly, her hands lightly resting on Sano's as he spills her.]
That was amazing!
no subject
[Sano wholeheartedly agrees, because maybe they wouldn't end up at the bottom of the table after all.]
Aw man, and I had them written off already.
[He laughs and gives Terra huge, hapy grin. Only then does he realize he's holding her and lets go.]
Sorry about that...
no subject
It's alright. It was fun.
[It isn't as if she's lifted often.]
It felt like I was flying.
no subject
If you liked it, you should come fly with me some time! That's the real fun.
[As long as it's not for long and it isn't straining him, he can fly all he wants. And Scotland offered some beautiful sites that were worth a trip.]
