Great Hall & Slytherin Common Room

[Since his father was a little too busy to take care of him, Ryou had been sent back to the school for the rest of summer. He didn't mind it so much, his brother was here and he knew what he would get up to. He wasn't planning on stopping him either because that never ended up well. So instead he was focused on working on a new things in the Great Hall or on the odd occasion the Slytherin common room. He was focused on his craving something. Getting the details right was always something he enjoyed doing. However, when he was done and was about to put it down, instead of getting the table he misses and it falls and rolls away. Further it goes before hitting ones foot as the young boy got up and walked over.]

[Yuffie reaches down and picks up the odd little thing. She's gotten used to life here but the princess still tends to randomly get annoyed for no good reason.]

What is this?

[She turns the figure around in her hand, with no intention of giving it back, while trying to figure out what it is.]

It's just a figurine for a RPG board game.

[He had been making one for most of the summer when he had nothing better to do and wasn't willing going along with his brother in whatever he had wanted to do. Holding out his hand slightly, he was hoping for it back.]

I haven't finished it so I need it back.

Guess that's why I can't figure out what it is...

[She glances over at the boy curiously. She hasn't seen him yet which means he'd probably more used to this place.]

If you tell me more about it I'll give this back to you.

If you give it back I will.

[Still holding out his hand, ready to take it back. he still needed to paint it after all.]

[Yuffie will stare at his hand for a long moment before gently dropping the figure in his palm.]

So, tell me.

[He held it firmly for a moment before moving to put it down next to the various things he had for it.]

A RPG Board game is as it says. A role playing board game where people go on an adventure and have to fight some big boss at the end. Not a lot of people in this school like that kind of thing, but there are some around... That I am aware of.

[Yuffie giggles.]

But that sounds like what I do in real life. [She isn't wrong.]

In this case yes, but for those who don't have magic and the like it's something fun and exciting to imagine and play out. I enjoy it myself in my downtime.

[Which is obvious given he is making figurines for it.]

Well, I didn't have magic before I came here. I mean I did but it wasn't natural, it was from materia.

[She smiles, as if he knows what that is.]

But I went on some pretty awesome adventures.

Ah... What is materia anyway? I've never heard of it and it's not something we learn about here.

[Maybe in other schools perhaps? Who knows really.]

Though what kind of adventures?

[Yuffie's grin widens.]

Nope, it's magic from my home. It's pretty awesome.

[She has to think about the adventure part because she doesn't remember all the details that had actually happened.]

Well my friends and I were on a journey. We fought this evil group known as ShinRa and kicked their butt! Then there was this crazy guy who wanted to... do something, like kill everyone. [She hadn't really been paying attention.]

Then we swooped in and stopped him!

[He was paying attention at least, even if he had moved slightly to go put the figurine down for the moment. Best to do that than move it around while they were still talking.]

Well at least you stopped someone from killing everyone.

[Though there is nothing there he had ever heard of, so he will just take her word for it.]

I don't do adventures like that, that's why I stick t my RPG's

Wouldn't you want to? It's a lot of fun.

[Besides highly dangerous but Yuffie's got heals.]

No. I don't think I'd be good at that. Thinking of it is okay and having my figure play out the adventures is safer as well.

[Plus his brother, though he was more than likely to get dragged into something with him sooner or later and he would be willing to do it.]

You're so boring!

[Yuffie falls into a chair, her arms flailing out like noodles.]

This place is so boring.

Well school is never exciting. At least during this time anyway.

[So many years ago however was a different story.]

Well, this is my first time at school.

[She's taken classes but princess classes are different.]

Oh, than you'll figure it out soon enough that it isn't exciting unless you actually like classes.

[Yuffie groans at that.]

How can class be exciting?

Exactly. It can't unless your a Ravenclaw who usually love learning.

[He like some lessons himself, but not others.]

[She looks at him with a hopeless expression.]

So you're saying I'm doomed!

[She might be a little dramatic.]

Sorry to say but yes, you are doomed.

[Saying it with a small smile.]

AH!

[She doesn't notice and just flails her limbs about.]

[She was an odd one and he wasn't sure what to say or do next.]

Should I... go?

If you want.

[She isn't going to force him to stick around. She's just going to wallow a little.]

[Seth looks down at the wooden piece but makes not motion to pick it up. His gaze instead shifts to the young boy.]

It's okay. What are you doing?

[His tone is soft while bright yellow eyes follow Ryou's movements.]

[He moved over and picked it up himself, carefully checking to make sure nothing was chipped or anything.]

I'm... just making some figurines. Nothing special really.

What for?

[His eyes gleam curiously.]

A roleplaying board game. It might seem odd, but it's something I enjoy.

[Because it's about the only thing he has really.]

Would you explain the rules to me? It sounds interesting.

[Roleplaying is something that Seth knows nothing about.]

I guess the first rule is simply there is one gamemaster, the on that controls the game like the monsters and NPC's and help push the story along. Though that isn't so much a rule though... However the game master does set the rules, but they have to be realistic and something everyone can follow. If that helps.

[He's not sure he's getting it across.]

[Seth just nods.]

Sounds interesting. If you were the game master, how would you set the rules?

I usually am actually and my rules are pretty simple. Most of what I do however is random and how stats are set in certain ways. But apart from that there aren't that many rules except don't try and do something one can't do, obviously.

That makes sense.

[He looks down at the piece again.]

I'd love to watch it be played.

I would need to get a group together first... But even then I don't feel all that comfortable playing one, even though people can use magic here.

[If his brother catches wind, god only knows what might happen.]

I can try and get something together though, so long as it doesn't become a big thing.

If it isn't any trouble.

[He flashes a toothy smile.]

It shouldn't be.

[Shouldn't being the word here at least.]

Will still take a while though.

That's fine.

[He smiles.]

I can leave you be until then. I don't want to interrupt.

[Though he's certainly an interesting boy.]

Ah, I don't think I got your name? I'm Ryou Bakura.

[He smiles slightly, waiting to see if he gives a name to the fact.]

Seth Rim.

[He nods with a smile. It's always nice to meet people.]

[He just smiled slightly. Was there anything else they could talk about. He wasn't great at this kind of thing after all especially since if he tried talking to people his brother would come over and he didn't want to risk that.]

Uh well... I guess I'll find you when it's time so I would need to know which house you are in.

[Seth nods and then heads off. He's used to making quiet exits.]
