2nd Muscle | Well the day got from good to bad quickly
Quidditch pitch
[Gou always came to watch and enjoy the people practice, but she also had another reason for coming and it wasn't necessarily to watch her brother. It was when after it was all over, the muscles that she could see was enough to make the young girl sparkle. It was simply amazing. So well toned, they must have worked hard to be able to get such great well toned muscles.
It made her happy just simply watching and admiring from a distance, although she had to admit she did want to ask what they did to get that toned. So she walked on over, a small smile on her face.]
Excuse me? Is it okay if I ask you something?
On the lake
[Gou had met up with some other girls that had asked her to come with them onto the lake. Gou was aware of what lurked beneath, but she was also aware that usually they might get left well alone. As she had gotten into the boat and they drifted away, Gou couldn't help but get a little nervous. But she had to remind herself it was for a class. She could do it so long as nothing happened or the creatures of the lake left them well alone.
When she felt the boat rock slightly as they neared where the girls said they were meant to go to, Gou couldn't help but tense up. She really didn't want the boat flipping over or anything like that, she knew that would end badly.
But as the boat started to shake more, it caused the boat to soon tip over a couple of girls who had been rocking the boat from underneath laughing slightly when the three girls had gone under. However only two of them came up quickly.
Gou however didn't know how to swim and had started to struggle under the water, the girls had been laughing for a brief moment before that slow realization had sunk in. In a panic one of the girls had gotten out of the water as one of them had ran off, trying to see who was around or close by looking more than a little panicked.]
We need help! Someone has fallen off the boat and can't seem to swim!
Hospital Wing
[Gou wanted to hide under the covers and just never come out again after what happened. She felt bad that it happened and she felt stupid that it was because of something that most people could do. But sadly, she knew she couldn't. All she could do was lie there quietly, looking up at the ceiling with nothing else better to do.]

On the lake
When he dives, it thankfully doesn't take him too long to find Gou. He wastes no time in grabbing her and beginning to swim straight back up to the surface, feeling his lungs screaming for air once they do. At last they're both above water, and once they're back on the shore Terra looks Gou over, unsure if she's conscious or even still breathing. ]
Hey-- Can you hear me? Are you there?
[ Terra asks as he checks, uncertain of what else to do. If she's still breathing he'll just take her to the hospital wing as is, but if not... ]
On the lake
Her first reaction was to start coughing, a normal reaction for sure as she opened her eyes and turned onto her side, spitting out what water that was there. Slowly she looked over and slowly regained her vision.]
I-I can hear you.
no subject
Take it easy, you were under there for a while. I'm going to take you to get looked over by Madame Pomfrey, all right?
[ He can come back for his gear and broom later, or maybe he'll get lucky and Sano will grab it for him (considering the situation). He'll probably have to come back for it himself, but right now the priority is getting this girl inside and back to somewhere warm, where she can be looked after so that she doesn't get sick or worse. ]
no subject
All right... [She couldn't help but go red slightly. She couldn't see the muscles, but by lifting her up like she was nothing meant he had some and that was enough for her to react anyway.]
Sorry that you had to come and help, though you must be pretty strong to be able to lift me like this. Toned muscles or something.
no subject
[ He shifts her slightly in his grip to something more comfortable, though the mention of his muscles throw him out a bit. He's a little confused by it, but he doesn't let it stop him and soon enough they're in the warmer halls of the castle again. ]
Well, I have to be strong. I'm a beater on the team, and if I'm not then I can't protect my teammates very well.
no subject
[She could tell by that at least and that made it obvious that was the case, but hey it mean she could watch more of the matches at least if the others really were anything like them.]
Those are the guys that hit the bludgers to try and hit other players. That would make sense to need to be well toned.
no subject
[ Terra sighs, shaking his head even while he starts climbing the stairs with her. He has to go a little slower to make 100% certain to keep his balance, he's not about to drop her like this after all.
It seems like talking to her is a good idea though, it has her awake and gives her a point of focus to help her stay alert. It's also putting him at ease, keeping him from rushing unnecessarily. ]
The bludgers go after the players as well, but we do try and redirect where they're going. It can mean aiming them at the other team's players, but it also means preventing them from hitting your own teammates and to manipulate the path of the quaffle.
no subject
Makes logical sense. I mean I only know what I have seen, but hearing it from someone who plays is something else.
no subject
[ He huffs a little laugh, smiling for her in return. It thankfully doesn't take much longer for the hospital wing to come in sight, and while Terra means to drop Gou off and go once he knows everything is all right...
Someone gets stuck in the bed next to Gou's as well, simply because he had been in the lake as well.
Awkward.
Terra sighs with that, trying to make himself comfortable while looking over to Gou. ]
Looks like you're stuck with me a little longer.
no subject
[She could never really do such a thing. However when she felt the somewhat softness of the bed, she couldn't help but be a little happy that she will be seen to soon. However she hadn't really expected the other to be made to stay for a bit longer.]
I don't mind that, I mean we can talk about other things, like I guess names would be a good idea. I'm Kou. Kou Matsuoka. [Because she doesn't like her actual name so why not use the one she prefers.]
no subject
[ He offers a warm smile to her, nodding with her. ]
You're interested in Quidditch then? I know the teams will take anyone willing to learn and practice hard for the game, or at least Gryffindor's does.
no subject
[She paused for a moment.]
Blame my brother. He's the captain of the Slytherin team, so I find myself reading up on this type of subject.
no subject
[ He thought the name Matsuoka sounded familiar, now it makes sense -- not a coincidence. He'll have to keep that in mind when talking to Rin in the future. ]
He's really good at what he does, and he's captain of a great team. I'm just a little sad that we won't get to play them again until next year.
no subject
[She nodded, seemingly proud of her brother at least. She just couldn't help it.]
Yeah, considering what he wants to do, he has to be able to lead and be a good leader. I'm actually really proud of the fact he seems to be doing so well. Though... I guess the only matches you do is the main ones, not even practice ones?
no subject
[ A warmer smile pulls on his expression and he looks to the ceiling again. ]
I know I need to focus on my goal as well. Quidditch is a lot of fun, but... I don't think I'm going to go into it as a profession, not like some of the others I know are trying to here.
no subject
[She paused for a moment, leaning forward ever so slightly.]
Then what will you do once you finish school?
no subject
no subject
[She nodded slightly, she understood that much at least.]
Well if it's the path you want to take, then I'll be routing for you. Even though it's probably one of the most dangerous professions.
no subject
[ He smiles for Gou again, nodding to her once more. ]
Thanks, Kou. I appreciate it.
no subject
[She moved to lie down, looking up at the ceiling.]
We can never really know what is going on in the world after all, even if we have news from time to time.
no subject
[ He huffs to himself, smiling a little. ]
That's why it's worth it though, to protect people from the harm that others might seek to bring them.
no subject
[She never wanted to go down that path for that reason. She didn't want people to worry nor did she think she would have been good at it, but she was at least okay with others wanting to.]
no subject
[ He looks to Gou again, his face falling into something more serious. It doesn't take him long to look at a necklace though -- one made of glass with yellow and reddish tints, and a silver trim to help form a star shape. ]
It's still right though, and if it keeps dark witches and wizards away from my family? That's enough for me. It's a pretty safe bet that Rin would feel the same way about it.
no subject
[She nodded, she was well aware of how Rin felt to an extent. Though there were times she wasn't even sure.]
He would, I at least know and understand that much about him. Even if he still needs to mature a tiny bit more before then.
Hospital Wing
Your sister's in the hospital wing, she nearly drowned.
[He's wished for death a thousand times that week, but at that moment he realizes what it feels like to die a thousand deaths. He rockets from where he's lying and runs the entire way, heart somewhere in his throat, terrifying scenarios vividly playing in front of his mind's eye.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no NOT HER, please NOT HER.]
GOU!
[He bursts inside, expecting to find his little sister, his lifeline, his constant, pale, unconscious and barely breathing, life stolen out of her body and when he sees her awake... Well, relief doesn't even begin to describe it. That stone falling from his chest is a boulder, the size of a mountain, and he's within her side in the blink of an eye, not even caring that everyone sees the tears that had collected in his eyes in these last terrifying minutes.]
Gou, oh Merlin, Gou, bless the gods! Are you ok?! Is everything alright?!
Hospital Wing
Moving to slowly sit up and glanced over slightly.]
Hey, I'm fine, everything is okay. It was an accident and I fell into the lake. But someone was nice enough to rescue me.
no subject
She's okay, he keeps telling himself, just looking at her. She's okay, he chants like a mantra, as his entire body trembles at the thought of what might have been, if she'd been alone. He can barely breathe at that image, waves of panic washing through him, a painful, chilly squeeze around his heart. There's a hot burn in his eyes and throat and he tries to breathe in deeply.]
Don't do this Gou. Don't ever do this again, understood?
[It's a scary and dark place to imagine.]
no subject
Moving she had at least made sure she was sitting up straight, gripping his hand to try her best to be reassuring, even if it might not work right away.]
I understand, but I can't exactly promise that something like that won't happen again.
[Not the best way to be reassuring.]
no subject
[Rin does his best to sound commanding, but it comes out as a combination of a sob and a whine. Damn little sisters for being damn literal.]
I'm serious. I can't stand the thought of something happening to you! I can't lose you too... I can't.
no subject
[She didn't know if she had been joking, but she knew if she had been it would have been in very bad taste.]
Rin....I'm a tough girl... I... just won't go near water anymore.
