[Fai was use to being in different worlds, this one happened to be another strange one. he had been asked to come here like they knew who he was, which was more than a little unusual and when he had gotten the stuff together with money he apparently already had that was even more strange. It was like this world was expecting him to be here.

When he had arrived and sorted he had been told he could teach one class and that right now he just wanted to think that over because in all honesty he wasn't sure what lessons there were and what they were like. So he soon found himself in the library or anywhere, trying to find someone to help him. When he did he walked on over with a smile.]

Excuse me, can you tell me more about the classes that this school teaches?

That's a broad question. I can't say I'm completely familiar with all of the courses they offer here, but what and which class do you want to know about exactly?

That's the thing, I don't know what one exactly. That's why I want to find out what exactly they are about.

Are you interested in something hands on like, Charms, Potions or Transfiguration? Or something more traditional like History of Magic?

I'm leaning towards either Potions or Defence against the Dark Arts, depending on what that class means.

[Hopefully he'll never get told how much bad luck is behind it. or at least was until a certain point anyway.]

It is just as the title says, defense against dark magic of sorts. [She shifted her weight to her right and crossed her arms.]

From what I've gathered. you study how to defend yourself from forbidden spells, curses, charms and dangerous creatures. Although dangerous creatures are more third year and higher material.

I see... I guess if that is the case potions seems like a much safer option for me.

[Safer means better and maybe easier to do really. He is thinking logically after all.]

Do you take potions yourself?

I do. It's...well, I suppose it's a course I feel close to home with. Precision and patience is required in the art of potion making. Mistakes can lead to...accidents.

Correct to an extent. You do mix things, but you have to make sure it's the right things. Think of it like cooking.

It's actually not. Anyone could cook really if they try. So potions should be easy enough for most students to get a grasp of.

I personally really like Art and they have muggle studies too.

I'm a fifth year so I've taken all those classes before.

Oh really. That means you only have a few more years before your done... As far as I am aware right?

Well I am curious about what kind of potions one learns about here? They might be different than what I know.

That's right. I'm focusing on exams now.

There are all kinds, really for anything. Though some aren't allowed. All the ones we learn are in class are listed in the book though.

As for exams, I hope you are studying even when you shouldn't be just in case.

Just something more about what you might know about what one might learn from potions class? I might be teaching it here and need to know what they cover.

[He at least figured out at this point that was what he was going to teach. It seemed easier since he had done something like that before.]

Potions cover the most basics of liquids everyone should know how to make and basic antidotes for illnesses. Of course, each year things get more challenging and you learn to make antidotes for more complex poisons or potions that make you feel lucky.

Interesting. I mean potions can be used for most things honestly. But I guess in school you learn those that are set as you said. But can a teacher add or take off what they think shouldn't be on the class?

Of course, the teachers can make modifications for their classes... though with any bigger changes, you'd have to talk with the headmaster.
