2nd throwdown | Something fun, something sad
A: Library
[Sousuke usually takes studying rather seriously, but today he hasn't felt very inspired to do it. So instead he's reading something very, very suspicious (a wizard done hentai manga he got from a friend in Japan that includes a few moving images as well) while covering it as a normal book of Potions (his least favorite subject). He could have gone to his dorm room to read, but since he's got to study at some point to catch up with his studies he might as well hang out here.
It's not like anyone can tell he's not studying if he keeps a poker face.
Though if anyone knows he hates potions it might be weird to see him so interested.]
B: After Quidditch practice, Locker rooms, Late evening
[After Slytherin had finished their Quidditch practice, Sousuke had told others that he would run a few rounds to cool himself off. Of course he was cautious of the hawk danger so he had his wand with him in case of emergency but he really wanted to have some time to himself for a change.
He did his run and returned to the locker rooms, pleased to see that the others had already gone back to the castle (as far as he could see) and sat down on the ground, holding his right shoulder as he does, sighing heavily.
It had been a month since he returned to training. Added with the training he did outside the practice schedule to catch up on the team's level, it was putting a strain on his shoulder again. The pain wasn't that much of a deal, but he could feel it.
Of course he wouldn't be able to be as careful as he needed to. Of course it would start hurting if he did too much practice.
Looks like he needed to skip some training and visit the hospital wing again. What a pain.]

What do you even answer to a question like that? There's no use lying or trying to make it seem like it's no big deal. Well it wasn't as bad as it was before the vacation he had of course, but still a pain.]
As well as you'd expect, I guess. I suck at holding back as always.
no subject
[Won't get an argument out of him there.]
Though, compared to how you played before, it's mighty noticeable you're holding back. If I was you, I'd expect Matsuoka, or Ichinose breathing down your neck soon.
[Both were incredible busybodies when it came down to it. Tokiya was the team captain, so it was understandable, but kid took himself too seriously already, anyway and Rin... Well. Not many words necessary there. He sighs again.]
Honestly, after so many years, you'd expect those St. Mungo quacks to be able to heal one forsaken shoulder.
[It might be upsetting him more than he's willing to admit. That they didn't manage to heal him was one thing, but Sousuke had his entire life and carreer in front of him. It just doesn't seem fair. Though life is rarely fair. All you could do was play the cards it dealt at you.]

[It was hard to lie to Rin though. Who was it that caught him from lying about his injure the first time? That redhead. It made him hope that he'd chosen occlumens instead of legilimens.]
Guess that just means I've messed up beyond expectations. Not sure if that's something to be proud of though.
no subject
[Especially Matsuoka, who seemed to have read Yamazaki completely and thoroughly. Sano sighs. Well, no matter. Not his issue to deal with. You reap what you sow... is it?]
It's not you who's messed up. Healers are supposed to heal.
[Though it had been Sousuke who overtrained in the first place... Still. It's not such an injury that should be hard to fix.]
It just pisses mem off, when people can't do their job right.
[The last locker shuts itself behind the shirt and with one last sweep of his wand, the papers, chocolate frog wrapping and various other trash disappears. Sano puts away his wand, turning to Sousuke, nodding his head towards the icepack.]
Better?
no subject
[Sousuke still blames himself mostly. Not that he'll start saying anything more to that, but he has a feeling Sano knows anyway.]
Yeah. It feels a lot better... thank you.

Injuries are a part of Quidditch. If you play without hesitation and fully, for the sake of your team, you'll get hurt. And while it's stupid to overtrain and break your body, it does happen. Because you want to be the best, because there's a rival you want to catch up to... Whatever your reasons, it's important to not let it bring you down. Just accept it as it is and move on.
I'm letting you stay on the team because I know it's important to you and because I know you have friends you want to play with, and rivals you want to win against, but eventually... if you cling to it too much, it's just going to hurt you and everyone close to you, especially your team mates and rivals, more.
[His eyes are honest, and just the slightest bit of sad, as his smile, when he looks into Sousuke's.]
Trust me when I say that nothing hurts more than clinging to things that can't be anymore. But the decision is yours.
no subject
Thank you for the concern, but I will play until I'm unable. I'm aware it will hurt many, but I need to be this selfish to cope.
no subject
It's okay to be a bit selfish sometimes.
[He finally says and turns to smile at Sousuke.]
Don't stay too long, or the others will get worried.
[Waving his hand in a casual bye, he starts walking towards the exit.]
And lock up when you leave. I don't want Filch anywhere in here.
no subject
[He can't really blame Sano for not wanting Filch here.]
