2nd throwdown | Something fun, something sad
A: Library
[Sousuke usually takes studying rather seriously, but today he hasn't felt very inspired to do it. So instead he's reading something very, very suspicious (a wizard done hentai manga he got from a friend in Japan that includes a few moving images as well) while covering it as a normal book of Potions (his least favorite subject). He could have gone to his dorm room to read, but since he's got to study at some point to catch up with his studies he might as well hang out here.
It's not like anyone can tell he's not studying if he keeps a poker face.
Though if anyone knows he hates potions it might be weird to see him so interested.]
B: After Quidditch practice, Locker rooms, Late evening
[After Slytherin had finished their Quidditch practice, Sousuke had told others that he would run a few rounds to cool himself off. Of course he was cautious of the hawk danger so he had his wand with him in case of emergency but he really wanted to have some time to himself for a change.
He did his run and returned to the locker rooms, pleased to see that the others had already gone back to the castle (as far as he could see) and sat down on the ground, holding his right shoulder as he does, sighing heavily.
It had been a month since he returned to training. Added with the training he did outside the practice schedule to catch up on the team's level, it was putting a strain on his shoulder again. The pain wasn't that much of a deal, but he could feel it.
Of course he wouldn't be able to be as careful as he needed to. Of course it would start hurting if he did too much practice.
Looks like he needed to skip some training and visit the hospital wing again. What a pain.]

A
He sneaks up to Sousuke, rounding his best friend from behind.]
Yo. Pretty rare to see you behind a Potions textbook, did Professor Flowright... HOLY SHIT WHAT BY MERLIN'S FROZEN BALLS ARE YOU READING?!
[All of hsi books fall out of his arms and he gets several scandaed 'shh's and curious glances, but he completely ignores them, face burning bright at the... colorful... vivid... animated... images... of people engaging in... oh dear Merlin have mercy...]
no subject
For someone who's most likely no longer a virgin, you sure react to some pictures.
[He doesn't say that too loud so that the others in the library wouldn't hear, but not as a whisper either.]
no subject
[Rin splutters, turning even redder. Better watch out. His blush feels so hot, it might set the library aflame any second now.]
It's not like... I mean...
[He stops himself at the horrifying realization, that he just confessed to Sousuke that he still technically is a virgin. It's not like he and Seth haven't done anything in that direction, but...]
We haven't gone that far yet [It's all but a low mumble, not intended to be understood by anyone.] Anyway! that doesn't justify you reading those... those... things.
[He takes another glance, maybe out of curiosity, or just to confirm he saw right is up to debate.]
'Sides, it's not like they're very realistic.
[His face ignites again when he realizes what he said. Oh hell, where is that hole in th eground, when you need it?]
no subject
You make it sound like you've done something if you know that.
[How suspicious. He sighs though, closing the manga and putting it away for now.]
What's so wrong with reading porn?
no subject
[Rin mumbles something along that line, looking anywhere but at Sousuke. He considers the question. There's nothing wrong with it per se, but...]
Reality is better, 'kay?
[He's still blushing red, and he still isn't looking at Sousuke, but at least he's talking about it, so that's progress?]
'Sides, if you read that, you'll get the wrong impression and end up doing something wrong.
[That one glimpse was enough for Rin to pass that judgement.]
Ya wanna have fun just go and date someone. It's a billion times more educative than... that.
no subject
[There's no way he'd attempt any of the things that happen in the manga. It's just a comic book, not necessarily anything that's possible in reality.]
It's not like I'm interesting in dating anyone right now.
no subject
Dating is fun.
[Then he asks more audibly this time, but still quietly to not disturb the people actually trying to learn something in the library.]
Isn't there anyone you like?
no subject
After the question though, he looks back at Rin for a while before letting his gaze fall back on the book.]
Not really.
no subject
A-anyway! You should focus more on those Potions rather than... dubious reading material.
[He sighs, expression changing to something more worried.]
Aren't you really behind? What grade did you even get on the last assignment?
no subject
You honestly don't want to know.
[Actually, the last assignment is what he's also working on and it's situated on the table. The red mark for "Dreadful" can be seen peeking out from under one of the parchments.]
no subject
[Rin shoots back, perching his arms on his hips, demanding an answer. That's however when his eyes fall on the bright red mark of 'dreadful' shining on one of the papers decorating the table, in an all too familiar handwriting and he picks it up. As he regards it, his expression changes from blank to disbelief, and finally horror.]
Merlin's balls!
[He gets shh'd again for the exclamation, but he ignores it yet again. It's completely and utterly horrible, full with mistakes and... Oh fuck. He had no idea it was this bad.]
Okay.
[Without any further ado, Rin sits down next to his friend.]
Get your notices out, we're going this through.
no subject
[Really, Rin should just focus on studying for O.W.L's since he was aiming for something important while Sousuke wasn't even sure what he was going to do with his life.]
no subject
Don't say that, you lazy bum! That's nothing more than an excuse for not paying attention.
[Rin sighs an exasperated sigh, the one that sounds a little like a growl and shows a glimpse of his sharp teeth, as his lips pull into sneer.]
Look. There's nothing really complicated about it, you just need to follow instructions and understand the ingredients. For example, of course powdered moonstone won't work properly, unless you let it simmer. Have you ever heard of a wish granted only after thinking about it? Furthermore it's a stone, of course it takes more time to simmer, than, say, Hellebore syrup.
no subject
Why do you never use this much brain power in History classes.
no subject
Because people make less sense than herbs and recipes.
[He answers at last, but he feels like there's something in that. If there's one thing he learned in that month long detention, it's that history was about people, and the fact who won and who lost.]
Besides, I got an Exceeding Expectations on my last assignment, so you've got no room to talk!
no subject
no subject
[Rin grumbles.]
This is more logical. And stop arguing with me.
no subject
[He's trying to avoid studying, okay.]
Stop making it so easy to argue with you.
no subject
[Rin says, flashing his row of sharp teeth again. Sousuke can divert the attention as much as he likes, Rin is making him do this.
And thus he starts explaining, completely ignoring the annoyed look Sousuke keeps sending him.]
