4th Blood Tablets

[The smell of blood over the past few weeks had been awful and he's refused to ask for any blood himself. So instead he had always found himself trying his hardest to focus on finishing the blood tablets that he had spent the past couple months trying to figure out.

He had been so close and now that he leant back looking at the little box that was between his fingers, he just needed someone other than himself to test them out. Moving the box between his fingers the thoughts just kept going through his mind about how they could work. So moving to get up from behind his desk he put them in to his pockets before heading off, looking for another like him.]

[Aidou was on patrol for the evening, so far he had only taken one blood tablet and it seemed like for him so far it wasn't making him any less hungry. He wasn't sure how long it would be until he felt that urge to bite someone, but for now his focus was on seeing if anyone else was out.

If he heard something he would speak out at least.]

[There is a soft knock on the door before Terra pushes the thick panel to the side.]

Hello? Aidou?

[She's seen him in passing but they haven't spoken in awhile. She wonders how he's doing, if his work has paid off or if he's continuing to over work himself.]

[He had managed to put the pills away before looking over, giving off the best smile he could muster.]

Ah, hello Terra. How can I help you?

I just wanted to see how you were doing.

[She smiles kindly.]

And how your research was going.

[Terra is holding a small bag in her hand and Aidou might be able to smell the sweet aroma that comes from inside of it.]

[Thanks to the encounter with Kain on the Quidditch field, that he could only thank Lady Luck for, Sano had avoided Aidou. The fewer people knew he had given blood to Jirou, the better. In the meantime the bite wound had healed, and now the only evidence of the incident, were two pale dots on the skin, visible only upon a very close look. He didn't know whether Jirou's smell had faded with it as well, but he didn't dare to ask. It still makes him avoid getting into close proximity with all the vampires he knows of.

Except sometimes Lady Luck is not on his side, thus one evening, when he's returning from Hogsmead, rounding a corner, he comes face to face with Aidou. They haven't talked much yet - no thanks to the fact that Sano did his best to avoid the man - but it's not his style to run away like bitten, once the encounter can't be avoided anymore.]

[Sano greets with a smile.]

Just getting back from the Three Broomsticks. All's well, I trust?

[Because of the recent events, Shiraishi's had a hungry vampire to deal with himself. So he's stayed up later than he's supposed to and he's on his way back to his common room, hoping he wouldn't get caught on the way back.

Unfortunately, it doesn't always go the way he plans, does it.]

Hello, professor. It seems the time difference is still bothering me, so I didn't notice the time... I'm just returning from the greenhouses.

[He puts on a smile as normal as possible. At least any wounds he's gotten from vampire bites are always covered so he doesn't have to worry about them showing.]

I'm doing fine as is the research.

[It was a lie really. He wasn't doing well. Looking up from his desk, he was starting to wonder what that smell was.]

What do you have in the bag?

Evening.

[He shakes his head slightly, he had pretty much just wondered around most of the time, keeping to himself and trying to figure out how to get the pills to be of actual use.]

No, just been wondering around this whole time. I don't really do bars and pubs, after all. But I assume that is where you came from?

Even so, you aren't meant to leave the common room or dorms after a set time. There are rules for a reason, no exceptions.

[He was one of those reasons most likely.]

Besides it seems obvious the time is late considering how dark it is, so why were you at the green house at this time anyway?

Went down for a few drinks.

[He confirms with a nod.]

Sometimes it's good to just relax. Found something interesting, while you were wandering about?

I... understand. I will accept any punishment.

[Shiraishi had been keeping both of his hands behind his back and unconciously he touched the bandaged one as he was being questioned about what he had been doing.]

I was really focused on studying the plants I did not see in Japan.

No, mostly because I'm paroling, but no students either.

[Which was probably a good thing at least.]

[His eyes for a brief moment shifted, looking over ever so slightly before smiling. He had no punishment right now, he was sure it was simply a warning for the mean time.]

Right now it is just a warning. Break the rules again then it will be a punishment.

[A pause.]

As for the plants, you could have learnt in herbology.

Thank you very much, sir.

[Shiraishi makes a small bow at that. It's a habit that really dies hard. At the statement about herbology he grins a little sheepishly.]

I'm very impatient when it comes to learning about plant life...

I brought you a snack. I thought it might help.

[Terra isn’t sure if he’ll want it but it’s worth a try.]

It’s a small dessert.

[He paused for a moment. She got him a dessert. Thinking about it, he raised a book so that he was covering his face for a moment.]

Thanks. Though you didn't have to.

Well there are rules you need to follow, so learn to be patient.

[Of he had to try and control himself, others would have to as well.]

Because next time you might not be so lucky.

I didn't get it because I had too.

[She replies simply and then steps forward to place it on his desk.]

I wanted too.

[Terra hopes that he likes it at least.]

A quiet night then. How rare.

[Sano says with an amused smile. Either the students thought this time it would be better to follow the rules, or they found better ways or passages to slip through unnoticed. Probably the latter.]

Well, watch out. You never know when there's a couple out on a midnight date.

[About every night. Though Sano tends to turn a blind eye to that.]

...Thanks. Though why did you want to?

[He was trying to figure that out. So far he couldn't think of a reason.]

Not sure what to watch out for if it's that? Unless they are being reckless.

[Aidou wasn't one to exactly turn a blind eye. It depends over all though.]

But I will continue to do my job at least. [At least for now since he didn't need to do research.]

But what about you, planning on going anywhere else tonight? Or are you just planning to go right to bed.

[Terra's expression softens.]

There are a few reasons.

[She doesn't know if he'll accept them.]

I was worried about you and I wanted to do something that would make you smile.

[He looked at her briefly, as if to study her and try and figure her out, but so far he couldn't get her at all.]

You were... worried?

[He was not use to someone actually being worried about him that wasn't his cousin thinking he was planning on biting someone. At that thought he was quick to cover his face again, knowing full well with all the blood letting lately, he hadn't even eaten himself and he was trying his hardest to not give in.]

I appreciate it very much... [He closed his book, placing it down before smiling. He just wanted to reassure her that it was okay.]

[Terra's lips curl into a smile as she steps closer with her bag. She's happy that he'll accept it.]

You can tell me what you think of it later.

[She doesn't expect him to eat it now.]

[He looked over slightly for a moment. He figured if he could eat it now, then maybe he wouldn't be craving blood so much, as tempting as blood was of course.]

I'll try it now since I am getting a little peckish and curious.

[Reaching over to the bag on his desk as he looked inside to check what it was before taking it out.]

If... you want to stay for a bit, you can take a seat.

[Terra nods her head while her smile pulls even wider on her lips.]

Thank you.

[She moves to a seat opposite his desk, her hands lying lightly on her lap.]
