[ Even with all of whatever injury she had getting patched up, Adela still feels pretty tired and somehow still sore from the Quidditch match. Training's going to resume soon though, and she is glad for that victory, but... ]

No, thanks but I'm not interested.

Seriously? How cold can you get, first the dance and now this? Am I just not good enough for you!?

[ Adela's left feeling uncomfortable as yet another guy she doesn't really know walks away in a huff after asking her on a date. It had happened at first because of the dance, but now it's becoming more frequent for a lot of boys outside of her year to try and ask her out. Or 'subtly' mentioned that she looked hot when she was all dolled up back then. It's a bit more attention than she can handle, especially when they started getting mad at her for saying no.

Adela just sighs, making to walk away from the area before someone else can corner her and be pushy at her. Honestly... Dealing with this crap is almost more exhausting than practice. Hell, it's more exhausting than dealing with Zelman. At least she's safe in classes and when she does go to practice, if only because she's doing other stuff then and there's no opportunity to corner her.

Unfortunately, the in-between times are when she's vulnerable to this kind of inquiry, or any other that people might come up to her for whatever reason, whether it's addressing her 'suitors' or any other topic entirely. ]

[ Aha! Adela, at breakfast, grins as she sees the morning post coming in - and her owl has a package, as well as a letter. She stuffs the letter into her robe pocket for the moment, peeking into the carefully wrapped package before jumping up and, forgoing the rest of her breakfast, goes over to the Slytherin table. ]

I'm borrowing him for a while!

[ Kaoru, apparently, doesn't get a choice in the matter as she grabs his arm and makes to drag him out of the hall, holding the package under her other arm and making sure they're out of hearing range. When she feels they're far enough, and before Kaoru can properly ask once they've stopped, she pushes the package into his arms. ]

There. Those are for you. You are giving those to her, today. I looked at the arrangement, it means romantic interest and admiration, because she is not going to mistake what you mean when you tell her you like her and are interested.

[ She's pretty determined not to let him back out of this either. The sooner he gets it done, the better! ]

[ It's later in the day when she finally opens the letter she's gotten, and seeing the initial part of the message makes her smile, along with a copy of an old photo...

She stares at it, shocked, before turning around to see the copied writing on the back... There's no way.

She shakes her head, frowning and thinking that there has to be an explanation for the weird thing in the photo she's seeing but now that she thinks about it...

Without further thought about it sends a response to that letter (poor Saggia, she'll have to spoil her owl rotten after this), and minutes later she's in the library again, grabbing a pile of books on recent wizarding history and starting from there. If she can find anything that has some knowledge of events in France, or anything else in the area that might give her some clue, some reason why that photo is so strange to her, it might answer a lot!! ]

[Kotaro isn't looking for Adela but seeing the older girls distressed expression has caught his attention. There is a moment of confusion before his lips curl into his usual bright smile.]

[ She's blushing darkly, and the fact that she can see that the guy storming off has heard him prompts Adela into action, with her quickly grabbing Kotaro's arm and speaking quickly. ]

[ She sighs when she thinks they're far enough, trying to catch her breath before looking to him again. ]

But... I wonder, how well are your flying lessons going if I may ask? I see Professor Harada teaching you sometimes when he's not holding team practices in the mornings.

He sounds like a bastard.

[He says the word far to easily for a young boy, clearly taught to him by his older brother. At the mention of flying he's distracted again and his lips curl into a bright smile.]

I think they are going really well! I want to join the team one day too but everyone says I have to wait.

[Hanayo had managed to send something off via owl and she was starting to wonder if it would have made it in time. She made sure to send a apology for her gift being so late and that was all she could do. She looked up as the boy had started to walk off only to bump into her, knocking over the young girls books as well as some ink, spilling it everywhere.]

Oh no. [She knelt down and started to gather her things, hoping that there wasn't too much damage and if there was, she hoped she could at least fix it.]

[ The boy didn't even bother to stop, though Adela had seen it and, with a hard sigh, approached. She started picking up the books then, getting them away from the ink as quickly as she could so that her texts wouldn't get ruined. Fine if the covers did, but if that ink touched the pages the girl could get screwed over... ]

[ She held out the books to the other girl then, not quite meeting her eye at the moment. ]

[Aidou had managed to pull out the book he was going to look through at his office later, for reasons. After all he was so close to finishing something, he was sure this book might be the final piece.]

[ Well, it was a warmer greeting than he had received from her previously, and she nodded before going back to... Whatever she was doing. It wasn't exactly something covered in History of Magic after all, but it was something she had to know for her own sake. ]

Just that something seemed off recently, and I'm trying to find out why. I'm hoping some things on recent history in Europe would help me figure it out.

[ It would probably be better if she didn't say exactly what, only that she was basically sating her own curiosity the only way she knew how at the time. ]

[Kaoru had been enjoying his food until he was suddenly pulled by his arm and out of the Great Hall. He just couldn't help but look a little confused for a moment, at least until she spoke and shoved a package he had little to no clue what it was exactly.]

It's because you mull on stuff too much, you wouldn't get anywhere without a push. That and my uncle owns a flower shop, I asked him a favour to get that here. The paper's charmed, so the flowers are still as if they're freshly cut even though they were flown here.

[ Apparently being called pushy didn't seem to bother her. In fact, she was probably a little too excited over it, even if she had no idea who the lucky girl was. ]

I looked at the arrangement, there are red and white carnations, gardenias, and red and yellow tulips. It might be a little too strong of a message, but it'll help get the point across. If you need it, I can track her down so that you can be alone with her when you're telling her. No audience at all, if you don't want it.

I don't mull, I think. Besides you do realize who I am, right? Until this year it had always been my brother and myself, so friends and the like are a whole new thing for me.

[Takes it one day at a time for the most part really. But she really was pushing it, which made him wonder why for the most part. Though thanks to Kaoru's Grandmother, he knew the meaning behind those flowers and he couldn't help but want to know what the arrangement of them was.]

She sighed, slumping a little before giving him what was probably a weaker smile than before. What she was about to say kind of embarrassed her too but... Well, she had a feeling Kaoru probably needed to hear it. ]

I know. I just don't want to see you regretting not saying anything later because you took too long or were too unsure. I mean... I dunno, I guess if I waited until I was sure, I wouldn't have any friends at all now. I don't want to see the same thing happen to people I care about, is all.

[For once Baldur was actually in the library earlier than the other, looking bored as anything. Studying was the least fun to do, even more so since he already figured he was going to be held back a year, so why bother. Instead he was reading a random book that perhaps one should not be reading. Looking up slightly, he couldn't help but give a sly grin.]

She sighed, frowning at the book in front of her as she flushed a bit, knowing that what she was about to say could come back to bite her but feeling obligated to anyway. ]

Sorry about that -- what happened the other day. I was in a really foul mood, but that's not really an excuse.

[ The fact that there was absolutely no heat in her tone and she was saying it so frankly probably wasn't a good sign, considering. ]

Forget it, how're you doing with Transfiguration? I've been having some trouble with the most recent spell Professor Branford assigned to practice.
