The 8th - Social Obligations
A. Hogsmeade, Saturday the 6th, Morning
[ It had been a while since she'd gone on one of the Hogsmeade trips, and with the weekend was an opportunity for Adela to relax and, more importantly, to shop. There were a couple of places she intended to go; Spintwitches, then Scirvenshaft's Quill Shop. It might have been easy enough to catch her in either of those two stores, but where she stopped for warm food and drink for a time was the Three Broomsticks Inn and consequently the easiest place to catch her.
In the warm inn she took a table for her own, her bags on the chair next to her as she sipped at the warm butterbeer in front of her. Her shopping was done, and it was just a quiet day where she wasn't studying or practicing Quidditch for once. She had to make a couple of excuses to get out of the latter, but come the next week it'd be worth it. ]
B. Great Hall/Hallways, Sunday the 7th, Morning
[ Breakfast that morning was... Different. Owls were flying in with the usual post, but the last thing Adela expected was to see her own pet flying towards her with a package of all things. Thankfully she managed to catch it before it could fall on any of the food on the table, watching her owl flying away before resting the brown paper-wrapped bundle in her lap. It felt light and soft, almost as if...
The feeling of dread hit her before she even opened the letter accompanying it. She had mentioned it to them, hadn't she? Sure enough, when Adela opened the letter she visibly paled a little. Suddenly she didn't feel hungry anymore, not with how her mind was racing then.
Without a word the girl was on her feet, holding the package close and immediately making to leave the hall and head somewhere relatively private, likely the closest girls' toilets. By then she was wholly focused on her path and not necessarily on who was around her. Of all things to send, it had to be something like that and they wanted pictures too!? She wasn't even sure if she wanted to go! ]
C. Girl's Toilets/Hallways, Sunday the 7th, Afternoon
[ Adela found herself beet red as she looked at herself in front of one of the bathroom mirrors, having used an empty bathroom to change and try it on. She could at least stand that much if she was alone.
...
Why did they want her to wear this?
It wasn't that it didn't look good; it was a slender dress, hugging her shape with just enough room to feel comfortable, and it was a nice deep green too, emerald green with a shine to it. It was beautiful, and in a way it almost made her feel taller even without the white heels accompanying it. That being said, the neck being a halter line left far too much of her back exposed for her liking, it had no sleeves, and because the hem of the skirt had a slit up one side it was showing her legs too and she definitely didn't like that. A dress like this didn't suit her at all! ]
This is stupid.
[ She sighed then, glancing to the door in case anyone came in before trying to step back towards the stall she'd been using. She'd probably have to write an apology to her mother and uncle for their wasted galleons (or euros, depending on where they bought it), because she just couldn't.
With the dress draped over her arm, her shoes in hand and her back in her casual clothing, she made to leave the bathroom and to go back to the Hufflepuff Common Room, fully intending to pack the dress in her trunk and not think about it again. ]

She soon found a spot that seemed decent enough, but still put down a rather large napkin down on the seat before sitting down. It just happened to be the table near to the other.]
How can people enjoy a place like this. It's so dark and dank...
A
Well, some people kind of like it because it makes it feel more rustic and authentic. I'm not sure if I get it either, but as long as it's not disgusting on top of that it's fine.
A
[She shivered putting her hands on the table. It felt stick as all hell. How can people take this with a punch of salt.]
Feels it too.
A
I've seen a lot of students coming here for drinks like this. They're great in winter, warming you right up from the inside.
A
So this is the butterbeer most commoners drink, correct? Because they cannot afford other things.
A
[ She was still looking at Renge, not quite sure of how to take her or that statement before going back to her own butterbeer. Just what did she mean by commoners? Was this girl supposed to be upper class or something? Actually, maybe it'd be better not to ask. ]
A
[She had gone to take a sip of the butterbeer. Well it tasted pretty sweet. She guessed it made sense why kids liked it.]

Great Hall
As soon as he caught up, he smiled.]
What are you hiding?
Great Hall
[ Of all people-- Adela was fully aware she didn't sound convincing in the least, clutching the package closer as she looked anywhere that wasn't at him. Mostly for a place she could duck into where he couldn't follow. ]
Re: Great Hall
[Leaning over slightly to check it out. He was going to find out in anyway possible if he had to.]
Is it something you are embarrassed about.
Great Hall
Not saying.
Great Hall
[A little smirk was passing by his lips as he followed before he moved to step in front.]
What do you have that is so embarrassing?
Great Hall
[ Ack he was in front of her and she barely stopped herself from running right into him when he did that. Whatever it was clearly had her on edge, and she frowned up at him before attempting to walk around. ]

Pillow girl.
[He doesn't remember her name.]
A. Hogsmeade, Saturday the 6th, Morning
She blinks a couple of times at the boy addressing her before her face falls and she sighs. Oh yeah, that incident... At least it had resolved nicely in the end, but she hasn't really seen this guy around since. ]
Yeah. My name's Adela, by the way.
A. Hogsmeade, Saturday the 6th, Morning
[He repeats the name as if promising that he remembers.]
You're one of Rin's friends right? I see you flying sometimes.
[He prefers to go unnoticed but he does watch practices and knows who's playing well because Rin talks about it.]
What are you doing here?
A. Hogsmeade, Saturday the 6th, Morning
[ Nevermind that he hasn't given his name, she sits up a little more when he continues. ]
Not just flying, he's been helping tutor me too. It's because of him that I've gotten caught up in my classes as quickly as I did.
I'm done shopping for the day so I thought I'd grab a butterbeer before heading back to the school.
A. Hogsmeade, Saturday the 6th, Morning
So... if I wanted to get someone something for Valentines day.
[Pale yellow eyes look over at her.]
What do you think I should get?
A. Hogsmeade, Saturday the 6th, Morning
[ She goes a little pink at that, glancing away before looking to the bags. ]
I was shopping for that though, for my friends... I usually like to get people things they'll actually use, because then it feels like I've done something a little more for them. Still, chocolates and flowers are usually safe bets, from what I can tell.
[ After a beat she seems to realize it however, and she finally meets his eye again with her surprise clear on her face. ]
Wait, you're... You're that guy, aren't you? His boyfriend.

Adela?! Are you OK?!
C
[ What? Why!? She freezes, staring towards the door before shaking it off because at least he hasn't come in, but...
What's she supposed to do with the dress!? ]
I'm fine! Everything's fine!
[ Does she sound convincing? She has no idea, at that time only hurrying to change back into her casual clothing and then frantically trying to figure out how to stash the dress. What to do what to do what to do... ]
C
Are you sure? You bolted out of the great hall like an impersonated Firebolt.
[He opens the door for a crack, just to steal a glance. NOTHING PERVERTED OF COURSE HE'S GOT A BOYFRIEND. He just wants to see if everything is really alright.]
C
[ She finally opens the stall, currently holding the bundle of green fabric in her left sleeve before coming out. Of course she's still beet red and she's painfully aware of it, but it's still not as bad as letting anyone see the damn thing. ]
Nothing's wrong!
C
Did anyon try to hurt you? Because if so, they're dead.
C
[ Aaaaagh no why did she say that! The instant she realizes it a high-pitched 'eep' leaves her before she shakes her head, then trying to shove the dress further up her sleeve to keep it hidden. ]
I-I mean, it's nothing at all! Just something stupid, don't worry about it!
