A) Classes

[The life of a 6th year student in Hogwarts is hard. Yogi can usually get through most of his classes well enough, but there are some, that just make his head spin. The OWLs for Transfiguration and DADA had not been this challenging, right? He's tryng to make sense of the stuff the Professors are on about, but there are times he just feels like giving up. Hirato is going to kill him, if he catches wind of his recent grades, he just knows it.

What's saving him is Herbology and Care for Magical Creatures. It's always relaxing to not think and just handle plants, or ride Hippogriffs. Once you got the hang of it, extracting the Snargaluff pod became rather easy. It was all a matter of timing.]

B) Elsewhere

[Between lessons Yogi takes the time to visit the library. Most people who know him are usually stunned to see him there, but if he wants to pass at least half of his NEWTs, he needed to do something for it, as much as he hates sitting over books, which usually ends up with him crying over 'Advanced Transfiguration'.

He never stays in there longer than necesary anyways and can soon be seen roaming the corridors with that wide smile on his face, smelling faintly of roses, or talking to people. Or tackle-glomping them into a hug, with varying degrees of success.]

B) Hufflepuff stuff (hey, that rhymed! xD)

[When lessons are over and the afternoon slowly fades into the evening, he likes to chill out in the common room, doing some residual homework, while sighing a lot, sewing, or knitting something, surrounded by mountains of fabric, or yarn, or just cuddling with his cat, that's gently purring in his lap, while quietly listening to music from the piano, or the buzz around him.]

C) Hufflepuff Stuff

[ None other than Tamaki Suoh was at the keys of the piano in there, his smiling soft and gentle as his fingers danced and created gentle, pleasant music for Yogi and anyone else there to listen to. Unlike Yogi, for the moment Tamaki was caught up in all of his studies, leaving him to do something calmer and more recreational.

Of course he was curious about whatever projects Yogi had at the time, but he didn't ask and instead simply looked up from the piano every so often, enjoying the then quiet company. ]

[Usually Yogi tried to make sure he was done with all the homework by the time evening rolled around, but that wasn't always possible. Especially with Transfiguration being like it was. The comforting sound of the piano in the background made him feel a little better, though, in that familiar, melodical way and the silent company of another person. Not that he'd manage to stay silent for that long.]

Aaargh, mouuuu~ Give me a break already...

[He cries, trying to make sense of the formula and failing.]

Everything all right?

[ His concern is immediate and Tamaki stops playing, closing the lid over the keys and walking over to Yogi. It's almost routine for Tamaki to stop what he's doing in order to help Yogi through his courses now, especially with how difficult NEWT level courses can be. ]

Yeah...

[Yogi replied, his head hung, before suddenly leaping into Tamaki's arms, crying.]

I'll be killed~

[Because that's what Hirato will do to him if he fails this and he WILL fail this.]

Now now, that's a little much to say Yogi.

[ He's smiling, patient and petting down his back to make sure his friend can calm down. He could be a little dramatic at times like you can talk Tamaki, and if there's one thing he doesn't like it's seeing his friends in distress. ]

I'll help you go through the homework and you'll do fine. I'll see to it.

B) Elsewhere

[Seth finally catches up to the Hufflepuff in the hallway. He doesn't much like physical contact, except from one person, so he keeps a measured distance from the enthusiastic student.]

Hey, I wanted to ask about those things.

[He doesn't want to say plushie.]

I was thinking about making them a present for this Valentines day thing.

[Seth is sort of a loser when it comes to this stuff and it's obvious that he's awkwardly stumbling through.]

[Yogi notices Seth hurrying towards him and stops to wait for him. He can already guess what this is about and when Seth asks him, he smiles and nods. He had worked on them during the evenings and both were almost done.]

It just needs a few more stitches and finer adjustments, but they're as good as done!

[His face light up when he hears it's a present for Valentines no less. But if he remember correctly Seth said it was for a boy... Maybe he's gifting them as friends? Or maybe they were dating? Whichever, Yogi still thinks it's an amazing idea!]

They'll be done on time. I can probably finish them this weekend.

[Seth relaxes a little bit and he almost thinks to ask Yogi about Rin specifically but decides not to.]

So...

[He's not usually this awkward... ever.]

Are people really into Valentine's Day?

[The question is strange and confuses Yogi, but he thinks maybe Seth didn’t have the opportunity to celebrate it ‘till now. That would be sad. Or maybe where he came from it wasn’t a big thing… Which would be a pity.

Yogi smiles as he answers.]

Yes!

[The image of his best friend pops into his mind then and he awkwardly scratches his cheek.]

Ah, there are probably people who don’t care about it much, but… I think everyone likes to receive presents, be remembered, or get a little attention from his loved ones. So even if they don’t celebrate it, I think they’d be secretly sad to be left out, especially, if there’s someone they like.

[Seth at least knows that there is someone that Rin likes. He just hopes it's still him after Valentine's day.]

Okay... so what should I do?

[He's trying to keep the desperation out of his voice.]

[Terra peers over Yogi's work checking what little she can see. She has been only teaching Transfiguration this year but she knows the topic well and she's always happy to help. She also know which of her students have been struggling which is why she thought to approach Yogi.

If he insists that he's fine she'll leave him be to study on his own. However Transfiguration, unlike other subjects, is rooted in science and math which isn't so regularly taught in other subjects. It's also one of the reasons Transfiguration is a required class for all students in every year.]

[He doesn't expect the teacher to approach him, so he startles a little. At her question though he has to chuckle a little awkwardly.]

Sorta.

[He looks away, embarrassed. He's accepted already the fact that he's not the brightest person in the world, especially not if it came to transfiguration, it doesn't make much sense to hide the fact, much less in front of his professor.]

I guess I'm just not really good at this...

[Terra smiles down at him and then glances over his notes.]

Well do you remember your first year? A lot of the concepts can be simplified down to that. Just as newtons laws are the basics for physics. Matter is not created or destroyed only changed.

[A thing finger lightly taps the page that he's looking at.]

See this variable here? That's the size and while doing the spell, much like the equation it's exact small movements.

[Newton’s what? Had Newt Scamander written a law he’s not familiar with? And how does that come into Transfiguration? The analogy confuses him more than it helps and he can feel his head spinning. Simplify… simplify… how?

He looks at the formula professor Branford is pointing at. All he got from that is that size is small movements and it doesn’t make sense to him. He cries inwardly. He’s more confused than before and she’s trying so hard to explain it to him and being nice… He hates to let her down, but…]

Uhm...

[She looks down at him feeling a little bad for him. Except that he should have basic concepts understood by now. She moves back towards her desk and pulls out a remedial notebook.]

[This is the sort of subject where you have to understand the stuff at the beginning for anything to make sense later.]

[Yami had quickly gone to grab a couple of books from the library and checked them out. Only for him to just narrowly avoid the sixth year Hufflepuff, whom he had seen in around four classes.]

[Makoto stretched as he walked into the common room. Sure they had less classes and they were mostly to review things over and over, but they still were enough to make one tired. So when he walked into the common room and saw a bunch of yarn.]

What's the wool for?

[Yogi looks up from where he’s been sorting through the different kinds of wools he accumulated over time, when he hears the curious question and looks up.]

Knitting!

[He answers cheerfully, with a broad grin on his face, like it’s the most natural thing in this world.]

Oh, what are you knitting then?

[Because he cannot tell just by the wool itself.]

A scarf, for a friend. He's helped me with homework and Valentine's for friends as well. It'll keep him warm when he's cold.

[It's still in the makings and not very long yet, but the chevron pattern in two different shades of red and one white is starting to show a little.]

[Baldur was bored. There was only so much fun one can get setting things on fire and not getting expelled. He didn't get this school at all. So he decided to try and be a little mean to the people instead. Seeing one gullible idiot, he held up his wand and aimed it at his robe as he walked past.]

Incendio.

[With a slight smirk a jet of flame went and landed on the robes before he put his wand away and see what will happen.]

OMG BALDUR XDDDDDD

[Yogi is going peacefully about his things, with not a single care in this world, when he smells smoke and a quickly increasing warmth next to his feet. Turning to look, he’s overcome by shock to see his robes going up in flames.]

KYAAAA!!!

[His first impulse is to jump and scream, panicking about being on fire, as anyone in his case would. But he’s not completely stupid, because the next moment, he remembers the spell they were taught right at the start of the school year and aims his wand.]

A… Aguamenti!

[A small streak of water appears and puts out the flames, making him breathe easily again.]

Phew...

Someone had to do it. Helped he was bored.

[He sighed slightly. He figured it out quickly which meant this wasn't as fun as he had been expecting. Usually blondes were idiots after all. Leaning against the wall, he couldn't help but smirk slightly.]

Were robes always flammable?

Wha... OF COURSE THEY'RE FLAMMABLE. Fabric always is flammable, moouuuu~

[He eyes the damage and wonders if he's got any good fabric to fix it. Ah, or maybe a good magic spell would do it?]

[There, that's better. He looks at the guy who spoke to him, only to see him smirking. He frowns a little.]
