8th Flight is As you please
A) Morning
[Morning is as usually filled with classes, or early training and has Sano yawning wide enough to get tears in his eyes, when he walks down the corridor to prepare the class before the students arrive. The morning air wakes him up pretty fast though and soon he's full with energy, all wide grins and loud, resonating voice with which he greets the first years.]
Ready folks? Let's do this!
[After the early clss there's breakfast in the Great Hall, which he enjoys with a nice black tea to warm him up, a filling food, the Daily Prophet, or a pleasant chat with a fellow teacher.]
B) Day
[The day is spent similar to the morning, with some afternoon classes, quidditch, or working in his office, trying to solve the Ravenclaw, or the recent Slytherin problem. Seriously, did Matsuoka HAVE TO get himself a month worth of detention? He wants to try and approach Daphne with it, to let the boy off at least for the training, but he doesn't think she'll be cooperative. She's way too strict.
If he's not working he can be usually seen in the hallways, or outside, chatting with one of his female colleagues, enjoying a little socialization.]
C) Evening
[With the peak of the Quidditch season, he sometimes works late into the night, thinking about schedules, tryouts, team rosters, private lessons and other stuff he needs to think about. It has been a while since he went out and had fun in Hogsmead, but he doesn't mind it much. After work, or maybe during a short break he can be seen taking walks outside, near the lake, or around the Quidditch Pitch. Sometimes he catches some late students doing self-practice, or meets Jiirou, or another late bird whom he chats up.
He knows he should be stricter, but he can't help himself be lenient about these late evening hours around curfew. The students had so much wor, they rarely had the time for themselves, or their private lives, so he usually lets them off easily, but makes a habit of escorting them to their room, so they don't get into trouble witht the other teachers.]

He's not sure whether to feel hurt, sorry, or angry, but he wonders if he'll pry long nough, if she'll at least yell it into his face.]
It's not like you would notice I'm doing it.
[Not many people did, unless they knew what to look for. It's not that the act itself left any tracks. It also didn't give you the power to communicate, or tamper with the mind you were in. All you could do was just watch. Listen. Feel.
But it's not like he would really do it, not under that threat, so that argument is pointless and just unnecessarily egging her on. He has no idea why he even said it in the first place. With a sigh, he looks directly into her eyes, asking.]
What do you achieve by keeping it in? Even if it blows off, I already know. It will stay between us, if we don't solve it.
[And he doesn't want that kind of rift between them.]
no subject
What was more, she didn't want to confront Sano about it. Their arrangement was already perfect because it didn't weigh either of them down. Sometimes, though, even Rangiku wanted more. ]
I would know just by looking at you if you had.
[ Whether he would laugh at her or not was up to him, but she couldn't deny that him knowing would solve problems. Only to create all new ones in their wake.
She reached up to ruffle her hair irritably, letting out a small sigh. ]
Let it go for now. It's not your problem.
no subject
How can you say that? Or course it's my problem! You're obviously angry and it's obviously got to do with me.
[He breathes deeply in, because he feels like he's being slowly overruled by his emotions. That wouldn't be wise.]
Besides, I think we're friends. Anything that's your problem, is mine as well.
At least tell me if I can somehow make it alright.
[If she was intent on playing the dead fish, if she just couldn't tell him, no matter what, he had to respect that in the end. But he at least wanted to know, if there was something, anything, he could do as an amend.]

Maybe it's her mood, maybe it's that 50/50 chance of screwing things up, but Rangiku turns on her heel and starts walking away again. She didn't want to dignify any of that with an answer, it all just made what she was feeling worse. It's her problem to deal with, not his. ]
It'll sort itself out eventually, don't worry your pretty head about it.
[ She waves dismissively as she picks up the pace, wanting nothing more than to actually take that bath she had been talking about not so long ago. ]

[Was everything he said wrong now, he wonders briefly, suppresing a frustrated growl. He can't get upset here, it's not his place. He thinks that maybe he really should give up for now, that maybe they can talk it over later, when there wasn't a bottle iin her hand and she calmed down, but there's a part of him... a stubborn part of him that can't leave it alone. With every steps she takes further from him, feels like their closeness is fading away piece by piece.]
Damnit Ran!
[He dashes after her and outruns her to stand in her way.]
At least yell at me, if you're mad, but don't run away!
no subject
Sano's stubbornness wasn't welcome at the moment, though. She'd had enough of trying to back out of it with some dignity and now she wasn't just annoyed he wouldn't leave her alone, she was angry over it. ]
What gives you the right to pry into my problems? [ A delicate hand comes up to shove him. ] We're not dating, so you don't get to play the 'your problem is my problem' card anyway. And I never said you were my problem, that's your assumption.
no subject
It hurts him, though he might not admit it, or let it get to him. She's being so stubborn, when all he wants to do is make it alright, can't she see that?]
The right? Maybe the fact that I worry about you and don't want there to be misunderstandings between us, because you're dear to me, is that enough?!
[He bites his tongue, when he realizes he raised his voice and takes another dee breath, but it sounds more like he's seething. No. No they're not dating, but that didn't change they were close! Or was it just him who thought that way?]
And assumption based on the fact, that you seem to get pissed more at every word that leave my mouth. That you don't let me even touch you anymore. That for a compliment I get a sneer in return.
Merlin's balls, Ran! I'm not stupid, so don't lie to me!
no subject
If I didn't have a pig-headed friend trying to badger it out of me, maybe I wouldn't be so angry!
[ Sighing softly, she mutters 'this is stupid' to herself and crosses her arms in front of herself, eyes staring up at him. Her gaze is assessing, albeit still angry. This feels like what it might be like to be in a relationship with Sano, and if it was then it wasn't worth all of this. The aggravation and fighting with him made her miserable. ]
Just let me go take my bath in peace.
no subject
Alright then. But we'll talk later. When we both have a clear head.
[His expression softens for a moment, as another, softer sigh passes his lips.]
I just don't like to see you angry, or upset.
no subject
[ Quietly, she smooths across where she'd been poking him, as if to apologize, and steps away from him. It's only now that she remembers that it's cold outside, the chill cutting through her thick cloak like a hot knife through butter. A shiver chases up her spine as she wraps her cloak tighter and sidesteps him. ]
Good night, Sanosuke.
[ For future reference, she's not promising to talk wit him. She just wants to get inside and relax so she can begin the process of sorting this mess out in her head. ]
