1st Frost | How to avoid people

[When she had found out she was accepted into this school... She honestly didn't know what to think, except for the fact that she was different than the rest of her family. However she hadn't been very excited about it due to the fact it was her accidentally using magic that hurt her sister. She saw it as a curse and something she had always meant to keep hidden. Yet as she wondered the hallways, somewhat out of it, she still thought as such.

Keeping to herself both during her time in the Great Hall and out of it, she just simply didn't want to hurt anyone else. At least that was what she was attempting to do. However she still wasn't sure if people would avoid her to, otherwise she felt like she could hurt them as well if they stayed close to her. Turning a corner, Elsa's eyes were to the floor as she was muttering some words to herself, hands gripping slightly. She really wasn't paying attention to what was going on in front of her, more focused on something else.]

I do, I don't think I would have been able to eat if I didn't know where that place was.

[Plus it's where people go to get sorted anyway, so thankfully she was shown early on.]

I haven't, but what is Quiddish?

It's a sport that's played on brooms.

[Namine giggles.]

My sister plays so I know a lot about it. Why don't we walk down to the field and I'll tell you about it?

[frozeniceolation]

[She gives a small nod, kind of nervous about the whole thing and more than a little unsure of what to expect. But she puts on a happy face.]

Okay. I'll be happy to do that.

[really_sketchy]

[Namine smiles and begins leading the young girl down towards the field. It comes into sight quickly since they are heading down hill.]

So there are 5 balls, The quaffle which is used to score between three hoops on either side of the field. The bludgers, which fly around the field and will knock into people. The Snitch which is a tiny golden ball that flies around really fast.

[She pauses.]

Follow all that?

[She listened for a moment, she was unsure about such things, but there was one small thing that she noticed.]

I do follow, but you said there were five balls. But counting there are only four.

[really_sketchy]

[Namine counts on her fingers again and then smiles sheepishly.]

I might have miscounted then.

Player wise; there are two beaters, who take care of the blugders. Two offence that try and score with the quaffle. A keeper who protects the hoops. And a seeker who catches the snitch.

Which is six players on a team.

I'm Adela, and I'm glad it helped.

[It seems to relax Adela too, and her shoulders slump a little to show it. That's when she straightens and stretches a bit, suddenly actually feeling glad that she ended up bumping into this girl. At least she managed to help her feel better about coming to Hogwarts...]

There anything else you need?

[frozeniceolation]

That could be why you got the six before. It makes sense.

[She walks quietly if only for the moment. It was interesting, but probably not something she would be interested in herself sadly, but it seemed nice to at least learn and see what it was all about, try and get to know the world.]

Is there a reason they play the game?

[frozeniceolation]

[She shakes her head slightly. She didn't think that she needed to do anything else right now.]

I don't think there is anything else that is important anyway.

To win the cup!

[Namine smiles.]

Well, that's part of it. It's just for fun. It's really fun to watch to. You cheer and cheer until you can't cheer anymore. Rooting for your favorite team.

You should come to at least one of the games.

[frozeniceolation]

[She was paying attention, nodding every now and again, taking in what the other had been saying before piping up.]

I... I guess I could give that a try, Though wouldn't we need to support out house team?

Well, let me know if that changes, okay Elsa? I might not be able to tell you everything about this place but I'll help where I can.

[Somehow, it's just easier to be nicer to Elsa than it is to most of the other students. Maybe it's because Elsa doesn't know better when it comes to Hogwarts yet, or maybe it's because Adela knows to put a hold on herself when it's younger people in general - namely because it doesn't feel like she has to impress anyone. Regardless, seeing the other girl relax just feels like it's enough for her.]

[She nods slightly. She as glad that there was someone who she felt comfortable to be around, but she couldn't quite figure out why that was. She was still scared that she could hurt them, but still...]

I'll make sure that if I have anything else to ask that I will. Though...I guess I should leave you to do whatever you might have been doing before.

[really_sketchy]

That's right. I root for Hufflepuff. It's the team Kairi is on too.

[She looks over at Elsa curiously. She doesn't know what house the girl is in.]

[frozeniceolation]

Okay... Then I'll root for Ravenclaw, I guess.

[She was in that house after all.]

[really_sketchy]

Ravenclaw! Is that your house?

[Namine smiles, it makes sense considering her attitude.]

Then I'll see you at the games, we can sit together.

[frozeniceolation]

That's correct.

[She gave a small nod before wondering where she should head off to next.]

I'll see you then.

[She turned around, she had other things to do, at least in her mind as she started to walk off.]

I was only walking around, you weren't stopping me from doing anything. There really isn't a whole lot to do here during the summer, so I guess that gives us a lot more time for just relaxing here and becoming more familiar with the school and other students who might be sticking around for whatever reason.

[frozeniceolation]

I-I see. Then I wonder why they sent me over here during the summer? I mean it makes sense for me, this way I don't hurt anyone, but why are you here if there isn't much to do?

[enchantressofore]

... It's...

[ Adela's no longer smiling, at least not naturally. She doesn't take long to change back to a more relaxed expression though, glancing away. ]

It's a little complicated. My parents are really busy this summer, so they figured it'd be easier for me to stay here this year.

[Oh no, she's so cute. Korra gives a small bow in return for Elsa too before she grins at her.]

I'll be surprised if anyone here has seen her before... [Because of many reasons, one of them being that even people back home were surprised at first, when she was the first one to tame one from that species.]

She's a polar bear dog! Usually she's a lot bigger like a bear-sized dog, but looks like this place decided to make her so small... Not that I mind, it's just confusing at first.

[frozeniceolation]

[A polar bear dog? Okay that did sound like something she had never heard of before, but that was mostly because she was from the world of Muggles before she found out who or what she was really. But never the less she seemed interested anyway.]

Oh, wow. So they were much bigger than this... That sounds intimidating though.

[frozeniceolation]

[That... made sense, she figured. Not like she could understand really, but she was trying to.]

I see... So if you had the choice would you have stayed here?

[enchantressofore]

I think I would have gone home, if I could have. I would have wanted to see my family over the summer.

[ She shakes it off, trying to put on a smile for Elsa again as she adds onto what she had said previously. ]

Don't worry about it. We'll get to see our families over the holidays, right? In the mean time I guess we should try to enjoy our summers before classes start up again.

[frozeniceolation]

You didn't see your family over the summer?

[She looked down slightly. She knew she wouldn't be able to see her family over any holidays, they had suggested she stay as long as possible at least until she had better control anyway.]

I hope that you'll be able to see them next holiday then.
