Ravenclaw Common Room
[ It's the middle of the night when Gareki climbs out of bed and slides his feet into a pair of warm slippers. The castle's not frigged, he's felt worse, but it's enough that he pulls the blanket off his bed and drags it with him as he makes his way to the common room. Quietly, he flops into one of the old worn out sofa's and throws the cover over himself, only to stare a the glowing embers of the fire.

So much for that idea. And he left his wand by his bed. ]

Tch. Insomnia could have hit at a better time.

[ Y'know. Like a time he didn't have to wake up and take one of the classes he hated. ]

Library
[ Gareki is no stranger to the library. If anyone knows him, they know that's the first place to look for him when they want him. If they know him even better, they know his hiding spot is the furthest table away from people, where he could read in peace. Well. Most of the time.

Today is no different. Gareki is currently reading one of the smuggled restricted area books, not particularly caring if anyone found him. It's not like he couldn't use a confudus charm on them, and not like he hadn't spelled the book's cover he was reading to look harmless. ]

Great Hall
[ Among the other ravenclaws, he sits eating dinner. Well, more like picking and choosing what he wants to eat. It's not that Gareki is picky, but that despite the food being good, he's still not as used to, even after years of acclimating, things like pumpkin juice and Flobberworm fritters.

Honestly, he'd love a good burger. ]

Oi, how the hell can you eat this? [ He's pointing to a fitter. ] It's disgusting.

Ravenclaw Common Room

[Seth and sleep have a complicated relationship. He doesn't like sleeping if he can help it which means he spends most nights reading until he gets bored and falls asleep anyway. Tonight he feels more restless which leads him down stairs. He's surprised to see anyone else up at this late hour.]

Can't sleep?

[She walks up with his hands shoved in his pockets. Pale yellow eyes look over at the boy while a smile pulls at his lips.]

[gizmoe]

[ For a moment Gareki kind of sits there contemplating whether that was too stupid of a question to answer or not. Quietly, he exhales a breath and leans his head against the back of the sofa. ]

I didn't wake you, did I?

[ Not that he'd feel guilty or anything, he just wants to know if Seth is going to bitch and if he has to tune the guy out. ]

[Seth just smiles and moves to take a seat by the fire. He flicks out his wand and mumbles a soft word to get the flames roaring again.]

Nope.

[He pulls out a small book which he opens on his lap.]

I didn’t want to wake up the others in the room so I thought to come down here. [He spoke like it’s an afterthought, his gaze flicking over the words in his book. Seth had thought he’d be alone down here since he usually is.] What’s keeping you up?

[ He'll never admit it, but he's quietly grateful about stoking the fire. Plus it saves him having to ask Seth if he had his wand with him to do it. ]

Nothing important.

[ Well. Nothing he'd like to share, really. This time it was a case of an over active brain and the inability to fall back asleep. ]

You came prepared. Do this often?

[Hikaru can understand wanting a good burger or something that looks more familiar to her. She misses eating onigiri from the convent store or watching her brother make katsu.

She over hears the ravenclaw boy from the next table over and feels like she should at least comment from her own experiences with the strange foods here. She raises from her table and peeks over Gareki's shoulder.]

Have you thought to ask for something from the kitchens?

[The house elves are really nice.]

I'm sure they don't want you to starve.

[ Except Gareki doesn't ask for anything. He turns half way around to look at the girl talking to him, eyes sharp. ]

Why don't you keep your nose in your own business?

[Hikaru puffs up her cheeks at Gareki with a slight pout.]

Because I’m trying to help.

[It’s the answer to his question and it doesn’t look like Hikaru is planning to go away.]

Ravenclaw Commonroom.

[It hadn't been long since school started up again and Fuu had take the break to actually do other things that weren't studying/ Going out and exploring being the thing on top of her list. Now school was back and she was staying up later than one really should. So during one of those times she chooses to sit in the common room and glance down at the book in her hands.

Although upon hearing movement, she looked up a puzzled look on her face as she wondered who it was coming down.]

Are you excited for school like I am? Or can't you sleep for other reasons?

[gizmoe]

I get my work done.

[ For a moment that's all Gareki says, because he doesn't quite consider himself nerdy. Not nerdy enough to be up studying in the middle of the night, anyway. And when he does, he sneaks out of the common room and into the restricted section of the library... or the room of requirement, where he has a lab set up for all the theory crafting and tinkering he does. ]

So, it's the later. What subject are you on?

I'm not on a subject.

[She still thought it was odd that someone only chooses to do work at night, because why not just get it over and done with while you have the time in the morning.]

I'm just reading so I can get sleepy.

[Ryou today had decided to stick to the library, knowing full well that it was a place that not many people go to unless they were doing last minute homework. Drawing off a few more lines on a design he had been working on, he looked over.

He could see they were along and guessed they didn't want to be disturbed but he was sure there was something he needed close to him.]

E-Excuse me?

[ Sharp eyes look over the top of his book at the stuttering kid. He lowers the book slightly and sits up more. ]

What is it?

I was wondering I can quickly borrow a book that is right next to you? I just need to look at one page for one minute.

[He wanted to remember something for one reason or another.]

[Elizabeth had been walking past the table when she came across how someone can handle the food. She agreed but she felt like it was worded in the wrong way. So stopping in her tracks she turned on her heels to look over.]

I will admit it's not the best tasting food in the world... I still can't handle some of it personally myself.

[ You mean more bluntly? Then yes, it's worded wrong. ]

Worms are survival food, not some weird delicacy.

[She looks grossed out at that thought, a shivering going down her spine. Wriggling worms on a plate, it made her feel slightly sick.]

I can assure you, worms usually are not.

Ravenclaw Common Room (Kyoko Kirigiri, Dangan Ronpa)

[Usually there is a housemate or two by the common room fireplace for some reason or other, even in the wee hours, which is refreshing to see for Kirigiri. Most don't ask too many questions either. Tonight when the purple-haired sixth-year slips in through the door after a routine romp around the school she sees that whoever's by the fire is swaddled nicely in a blanket.

He mutters something about insomnia. Conveniently, Kirigiri's got her wand on her.]

I could cast Stupefy for you. [Not the most orthodox of suggestions for a stranger, but the spell does knock people out......]

[ Consider that the least appealing cure for insomnia on the face of the planet, next to being knocked out via punch to the head. He makes a displeased sound, but isn't all that surprised by the appearance of a housemate. ]

Keep the magic, I'd rather suffer this way.

[ In fact, if he's up for good he might skip a class or two and nap. Or he might make his way down the halls to the room of requirement so he could tinker with more failed gadgets. ]

[It's still a cure, terrible or not. This just proves that he's not that desperate for sleep, which is fine by her.

Shouldn't there be anti-insomnia spells around, though? She might check that out at a later date, as much for her own curiosity as to be prepared in future scenarios like this. Kirigiri moves past the housemate on the couch and approaches the stairs to the dorms.]

What about tea or something warm while you suffer?

[Ciel has been spending a lot of his time in the library too, but it was more like he was trying to find a damn way out of here. None of these books were helping so far, but that restricted section.. It was tempting. It had to have something that he was looking for. Looking around, he made sure the coast was clear to try to make his way over when he noticed someone else was here.

Honestly? He really didn't care that someone else was there already or that it was a restricted section. As long as whomever it was didn't out him, he wouldn't out them.]

[ Hey, far be it for Gareki to keep someone from slipping into the restricted section. It's not like he's innocent. But the thing is, he's a responsible person. He can't just let a first year go in there and he's noticed you already, Ciel. It's hard not to notice anyone with silence all around them. ]

[ Gareki looks over the top of his book at the smaller male. ]

Be careful what you open in there. I don't want to have to pick you off the floor.

[Don't be like that, Gareki. He doesn't want to deal with this crap.]

[ Yeah and he finds that offputting. No, he's not snobby or anything but at least contain yourself, woman. ]
