[Great Hall/School in general]
[Marco was one of the people who came to school early this year. While his parents wouldn't have wanted to let him go just yet, Marco already missed his friends. He promised he'd send an owl to them every week with letters and visit them whenever he got the next chance, so they wouldn't have to worry too much.
With him, Marco carried a box full of home-baked pies and cookies and some home-grown apples. He was trying to meet up with his friends to hand them their share before leaving the box to Hufflepuff common roomso Sasha could eat it for everyone there.
That sure looked like one heavy box to be carrying around...]
(ooc: Marco's generally friends with whoever, so if you want your characters to be friends with him, I'm sure we can figure something out.)

There he was, up in front of him, walking toward the Great Hall. Jean came up behind him, throwing his arm around his friend's shoulder. His eyes immediately go down to the box, nose smelling the home baked goodies. ]
Crap. I hope Sasha hasn't figured out you have those yet.

I haven't visited the common room yet or seen her yet, so no. [He did have his fair share for Sasha, once he'd find her.] Good thing we met, I want to give your share to you.

You just got here? Sash, Mikasa, and I have been back for a while. I was wondering why I didn't see you around, but I probably should have known.

[The school year is long and it's a while before they could see again, after all.]

[ Except Hufflepuff. Did they ever do anything out of the ordinary? It often times seemed like they were all too smart for it.
Jean lets Marco go and slides his hand into his pocket casually, still wearing street clothes because robes weren't necessary before term started. ]
Everything okay with the animals though?

Excuse me, can I help you?
[She smiles, her head tilting to the side. Terra doesn't look like she'd be much help considering how thin and delicate she looks but she's still offering.]
no subject
No, I'm fine, thank you. I do this every time I come back from home...
[He could use, you know, a levitation or lightening spell on the box, but it hasn't ever occurred to him.]
Have met met?

I'm teaching Transfiguration this year but I'm still new and learning my way around before school starts.
[She knows that she's a little young for the role but magic has always been second nature to her.]

[Marco's tone turned immediately into a more polite.]
I'm Marco Bodt and I'm in Hufflepuff. It's nice to meet you, miss.

In Halls
Hey what you got in there?
[He's new and much like Marco, loves making friends.]

Some homemade, baked goods and apples... [A pause before:] You're new here, right? I have plenty so, would you like a piece? As a welcome gift...
no subject
Really?! Yeah! I'm a first year! My brother just dropped me off.
[Jiro is weird that way.]
no subject
[He sets down the box and opens it.] Please, take what looks good to you.

[Roxas looks up from where he's reading in a chair. All the studying has made him hungry and there's still a while until. dinner.]

Yes, my parents told me to take them with me. I know they mean well, but it's still too much for me to eat, so... would you like some?
no subject
[He'll take a snack if he's got homework to tackle.]

just a thing that could happen every year too then i guess
But well. Since she's allowed to use magic again? One levitation charm coming to that box before Mikasa even appears walking next to him.]
So, where are we going?
[Because now she's going to just walk around with him to wherever he wants to go and levitate that box all the way (or carry it at some point, who knows.) You're welcome.]
whoops
Mikasa... hey. You really wouldn't need to do that every year...
[Really, Marco is capable of carrying the box... though he does appreciate it. It's just a little embarrassing he's never confident enough to use a levitation spell himself.]
Thanks. I'm actually on my way to me common room and hoping I'd run into my friends on the way.

[Then it would just look heavy. Or she could carry it herself, it'd be like light-weights for her. But nothing wrong with making it easier for him!
Towards the common room it is then, no need to ask where it is after all these years.]
Let's see how many we'll find on the way then.
[Isn't he friends with almost the entire castle though? Not that Mikasa minds however long this takes.]
no subject
[Marco's just afraid of messing up a spell more than he is bumping into something (or someone).]
Don't forget, you're one of them. There's something for you too.

[Waving happily because she's seen plenty of Jean over the summer, but not Marco. And she can smell food from a mile away.]
Whatcha got in the box?

the resther share.]Hey Sasha... I think you know without asking. [He sets down the box.] Are you hungry? I was thinking I'd like to drink some tea.
no subject
Of course I am! Thanks! [And they look really good.]

[Marco's somewhat teasing.]
