14th Flight is Summer Rain
[Kenmare, Kerry, Republic of Ireland]
[For the most part, Sano enjoys the summer break. He enjoys the free time, which he mostly uses on fixing his house up, drinking in the evening with friends and his brothers, or just relaxing outside, enjoying the view of the ocean, from where he's living on the top of the hills, just outside of Kenmare. On the rare occasion that it's not raining, that is. Which so far, have been maybe 3 days in total.
And that's the one part of summer that Sano can't stand. The constant rain. Because rain also means...
When the daily ear-piercing cries break out, Sano can only sigh, from where he's sitting on the roof, replacing some of the thatch. He glances over his shoulder to the nearby bushes with a scowl on his face. It's been cloudy and humid all day, and Sano can feel the approaching rain in his bones. He doesn't need his domesticated family of Augureys shrieking it for everyone to hear.]
A blind can see it's gonna rain, you can kindly shut up!
[Usually the cries get louder after that.
When the first drops start falling, Sano retreats back inside, pours himself a tea, or a whiskey and listens to the radio, or reads the newspaper. Sometimes he's not alone, his family, friends, wixes and muggles alike, visiting him. All in all, it's just another usual summer break.]
[BONUS: 6th July, backdated]
[Sano doesn't tend to broadcast, or altogether celebrate, his birthday much. He keeps thinking it's maybe the fact he's close to finishing his 3rd decade already, but to be honest it's probably just that the need to celebrate it has passed long ago. Maybe the summer when he turned 15 is to blame. It's a fact, that after that, the day gained a bit of a bitter tone he couldn't shake for a long time, and afterwards it just became... redundant. He's happy about the occasional letter, or a gift, when his close people remember him, but he stopped expecting it. So usually his birthdays are spent reading letters from far away friends, smiling about the occasional token of attention, and spending the evening by inviting his brothers and maybe a few nearby friends, to a drink. Humble and easy. Sometimes people surprise him with a visit, which he's happy about, since spending time with old friend is a good way to conclude another year in your life.]
